Sen.Billary Clinton Wants anti-Rumsfeld generals to testify
2006-04-22
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton says the generals who have been calling for the removal of Donald Rumsfeld should testify before the Senate.

Clinton weighed in today on the growing effort to oust the Defense Secretary, but did not call for Rumsfeld's removal. She says it's more important to find out what did or did not go wrong in planning the war in Iraq.

Some fellow Democrats have criticized Clinton for voting for the war and not doing more now to bring the troops home. The junior senator from New York has spoke out against decisions made in executing the war, but has avoided calling for ending the entire operation.

#19  Good a time as any to remind you peoples to pledge your hard earned cash to the Spay Chelsey Now Fund. Your money will go towards a 10 million dollar love offering to our girl in return for proof of sterility.

#17  Clinton a "centrist?" ....only after Joe Stalin returns as a Pentacostal.

#16  her tough positions are strictly feints to appear centrist

#15  She's no friend of the military, never has been, never will be. The ONLY support she will have will be from a few femi-nazi crack troops and hard core minority dems. Most I've talked to would rather eat an MRE in the wrapper than even think about voting for Clinton.

#14  This move by Shrillary Panderella does surprise me. If she should be elected President I don't think she would stand for any mere Generals questioning her choice for Secretary of Defense. The Senate confirmed Rummy, he serves at the President's pleasure, not the Generals. This is getting VERY interesting.

#13  Rest assured, the Repubs would ask for Franks, Pace, and others to testify also.

#12  Should the former generals testify, they will be in heavy defense mode. They are all already on record with their beefs; now they would face the tough questions.

Billary better be careful what she wishes for.

#8  and do it quick....like a cop asking questions before the lawyers get there. You get the best gems about what really happened, right in the beginning. After awhile, they won't be so full of bravado to make the same stupid mistakes in their comments that they will be making now.

Put on the stand - turn the videos on and let's go.

#7  I'd love to hear them testify. Get it on the record for the historians. I say go for it.

#6  Dear Hilary - when you were visiting Iraq two years ago, do you have any idea why your helicopter was nicknamed Broomstick One?

#5  I'd be careful of wanting an angry general to testify. Ima thinking of MacArthur. A hell of a speech, a short intense campaign for the Presidency, then being laughed at at ballparks. All in 18 weeks. It would distract from Hillary.

#4  This will only make more of the military hate her. Most of the people I know servering or have served really didn't like the gernerals that have seethed complained and all hate Hillary. This will backfire for Bitchary.

#3  This manipulative, conniving bitch is one reason why, after 31 years as a Democrat, I'm now a Republican. I will NEVER vote for another Democrat, for any public office high or low, so long as I live.

#2  This bothers me, I'm hearing things unsaid.
Such as "I don't have to worry about Public Opinion"
And "The Presidential Nomination is assured whatever I do"
Remembering the forcable way she got to be Senator from New York (With the main New York outcry being "Go Home") The implication is there's a "Done Deal" we don't know about.

#1  That'll encourage more Generals to speak out. Especially those on active duty.
