2006-04-14 |
A suicide car bomber attacked a police station north of Baghdad Friday, wounding at least seven people when he detonated his explosives, he said. The bomber hit about 7:15 a.m. in the city of Mosul, which is 225 miles northwest of Baghdad. Five civilians were among those wounded, police Brig. Abdul-Hamid al-Jibouri said. The car bomb exploded in a vegetable market in Shula packed with shoppers buying food for their evening meals, police said. At least 15 people were killed and 22 were wounded. Last week, a car bomb injured 13 people in the same neighborhood. |
