| Moroccan GSPC member arrested in Spain |

| Spanish police arrested a Moroccan on Tuesday who is suspected of being a member of Algeria's largest outlawed militant movement, the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat, the Interior Ministry said in a statement. It said Mohammed Aberrada had been detained in the Costa del Sol holiday resort of Torremolinos under an international detention order issued by a court in Rabat. The order accused Aberrada of "criminal association for the perpetration of terrorist acts and serious attacks against public order". The statement said Aberrada would appear before the Spanish courts in due course. Spanish police have made a number of arrests of suspected Salafist militants in the past few months. |
