| #3 /minor rant I lived in Singapore for years and have had dengue, which makes me at risk (5% fatality rate) from a second strain infection resulting in dengue hemmoraghic fever. I'd be happy if they fined $1,000,000 and took flamethrowers to the offending areas. And as far as serial clipping of tourists - Singapore is an amazing safe place and people are scrupiously honest. If you got cheated you must be as dumb as bricks. |

| #2 When I was there they find a local S$1000, after they found mosquito larvae in a bucket in his back yard. On the other hand, the serial clipping of tourists warrants nothing but a smile from Singapore's cops. |
