Four Pakistanis convicted of smuggling heroin were hung in Kuwait and their hooded corpses were displayed in public on Sunday. Mohammad Ahmad Khan, Sayed Shah, Faz Yusef and Abdulbaseer Ishaq, were executed in the interior ministry in Kuwait City. Dozens of spectators were later allowed into the complex to view their bodies.The justice ministry said that the four had been arrested from the Kuwait Airport in separate cases for smuggling heroin worth a total street value of approximately two million dollars in 2002. It said that the men had swallowed capsules containing the drugs in an attempt to smuggle them into Kuwait. Authorities reintroduced public hangings in June 2002 following a steep rise in drug offences to scare smugglers.
