| Analyst Says Cooper Documents Reveal Karl Rove as Source in Plame Case |

| NEW YORK Now that Time Inc. has turned over documents to federal court, presumably revealing who its reporter, Matt Cooper, identified as his source in the Valerie Plame/CIA case, speculation runs rampant on the name of that source, and what might happen to him or her. Tonight, on the syndicated McLaughlin Group political talk show, Lawrence O'Donnell, senior MSNBC political analyst, claimed to know that name--and it is, according to him, top White House mastermind Karl Rove. Here is the transcript of O'Donnell's remarks: "What we're going to go to now in the next stage, when Matt Cooper's e-mails, within Time Magazine, are handed over to the grand jury, the ultimate revelation, probably within the week of who his source is. "And I know I'm going to get pulled into the grand jury for saying this but the source of...for Matt Cooper was Karl Rove, and that will be revealed in this document dump that Time magazine's going to do with the grand jury." Other panelists then joined in discussing whether, if true, this would suggest a perjury rap for Rove, if he told the grand jury he did not leak to Cooper. I love how this stuff comes out on Friday night because it won't be refuted for at least 3 days. The MSM is going to have a field day with this. If I have learned anything from the MSM, its that Rove is an evil genius, so I seriously doubt he would be caught up in this. |

| #7 Yep, when the papers are opened, it will turn out it was an inside job generally done to embarrass the Bush White House and take the spotlight away from the fact that Plame's bonehead Clintonista husband was stupifyingly unqualified to go to Nigeria to investigate illicit sales of anything to anyone. This IDIOT is a non source. This CRAP will get big play with the MSM even though O'Donnell does not know a freaking thing about this at all. This is one of those wild rumors that even though disproved in court will be replayed ad infinitem in the media. There are a lot of Clinton socialists in high places, STILL, in the CIA and this is a carefully orchestrated tempest in a tea pot to get Rove out of the White House. According to Bob Novak, everyone in Washington knew that Plame worked for the CIA and she and Wilson were cocktail party darlings in the beltway because of this dual career, he a CLINTON appointed Ambassador and she a CIA operative.......Hey wait!!! She was an analyst!!! And if she was an operative she was dating Wilson while she was supposed to be undercover. This does not make any sense. What will be most interesting and most hilarious will be that the papers will indicate that her employment in the CIA was general knowledge and it was not a leak from the White House. I guarantee you that is why they are fighting the release of the source. The source was probably Plame or Wilson themselves....over a slice of brie and a glass of Chardonnay at a party in Chevy Chase. BAH I would like to see Rove sue O'Donnell's ass off on this one. It is defamation and a lie propogated to discredit. |

| #5 I'm with 2b on this one. If it were Karl Rove I think they would have gave him up at the first threat from the judge. My guess is that it is on of the subversive liberals that they cant seem to root out of the CIA. It will be interesting though to see how this plays out. I suspect Rove is a little more clever than to let himself get busted in a deal like this. |

Recall his insane tirade against John O'Neil - the man who wrote "Unfit For Command" and started the SwiftBoat Vets. O'Donnell blew a fuse, cursing O'Neil and generally making a total fool of himself, in one of the more famous insane screeds ever shown on the tube. It made the Chris Matthews / Zell Miller episode look tame. Whether he's right or wrong about Rove, I don't know, but I consider him a total asshole - a Moonbat's Moonbat. Fuck him. And MSNBC for not firing him on the spot. |

| #2 If it had been Karl Rove, wouldn't they have gladly complied a long time ago? Reminds me of the Law and Order on the other night when Lenny's old partner is now a bad cop on the take. Lenny isn't willing to cover for a murder he did, so the bad cop blames Lenny as an acomplice. The bad cop thinks Lenny's breach of "loyalty" makes him deserve it- but mostly just because the bad copy has gone to the dark side and has become evil. |
