SRINAGAR, India - Nine people have died in fresh violence in revolt-hit Indian Kashmir including six militants who were shot dead by troops, two of them inside a mosque, police said on Saturday.Two rebels died late Friday in a gun battle at a Shiite mosque in the Wullarhama village in southern Anantnag district, a police statement said. The mosque was damage in the clash, in which two security force personnel were also wounded.
Four more militants were killed in two other clashes, police said, adding that two policemen died in the gunbattles. In a separate incident, suspected rebels killed a civilian late Friday, police said.
