#20 I wonder which one of the two main groups would take over when he Fahds away--deviants or miscreants? What are your bets? |

#19 Only if they do it hard enough. And I recommend a 9 pound sledge, not a silver hammer. |

#18 I wonder if they're going to tap his forehead with a silver hammer. |

#17 He is getting better.(again) "RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Saudi King Fahd, whose oil-rich kingdom became a close U.S. ally during his 23-year rule, was reported in stable condition and improving Saturday, a day after he was hospitalized for unspecified medical tests." That Big Oil meme is some borderline TRANZI poop. |

#14 The King is [mostly] dead. Long [conditionally] live the King [whoever that may be after a long family feud]! King Fahd can go to his bed knowing that he has left behind the largest group of overpaid, spoiled, murderous, hypocritical self-destructive relatives in world history. He must also realize that his "Royal" setup has denied the great majority of his people a chance to share his country's great oil wealth and to have opportunities to better themselves. Great going, King Fahd. Have a nice trip. |

#10 Don't any of these mutts ever just DIE? Arafat, Zarkawi, Fahd, et al, go through this: he's dead, ain't, is, AIN'T, IS!...crap for days (or longer). I think this explains the Muslim custom of burying the "dead" within 24 hours. It cuts down significantly on the number of "revivals". |

#9 Wretchard is good on military perspectives but is weak on geopolitics (as I have remarked before). Nobody percieved the wahabi prosletizing prior to 9/11 as a serious problem. We only see it is now, with the benefit of hindsight. To blame the oil companies is frankly silly. They don't care who owns and sells the oil. In fact they would much prefer someone else other than the Saudis in control. |
