The US: "the stupid" vs. "the jerks"
2005-01-17
...The S factor -- short for the Stupid factor -- describes people who don't understand cause and effect, can't handle more than two sides of an issue and don't seek out multiple sources of information. It was my contention that, although the S factor applies to people across the political spectrum, it went a long way to explaining the apparent popularity of President Bush in the face of facts that indicated he was neither competent nor virtuous...

An Alternative Inaugural Address

MY FELLOW AMERICANS, I had intended to reach out to all of you and bring a divided nation together. But I changed my mind. America isn't divided by political ethos or ethnic origin. America isn't divided by region or religion. America is divided by jerks. Who wants to bring a bunch of jerks together with the rest of us? Let them stew in Berkeley, Boston, and Ann Arbor...

#5  largely overlooked, perhaps the most remarkable statistic from the 2004 election is the record of those candidates for whom Clinton campaigned: all eight lost. heh, heh

#4  We're divided because the Left keeps harping that we are - dialecticism, alternatism, alteriorism, and totalitarian equalism > everyone is a de facto patriot, or else everyone is a de facto traitor, no middies; 1 = 2 = 3 = ...@, regardless if one or few or many do indeed engage in treasonous or criminal acts, except for Lefties of course! Thus a terrorist = freedom-fighter, an ultra-Rightist Socialist Fascist = ultra-Leftist Socialist Communist, and free America = communism-centric Russia-China, science-intellectualist meritocracy = absolute or totalitarian reliance on propaganda and information control,
,....................@!

#3  The real battle is people who reason versus people who don't.

That much is true. What Dems cannot face is they aren't the side of reason-they're the side of hysteria and hyperbole. Americans believing that Saddam had WMD isn't the problem; it's the alternative story the Dems/anti-War folk were running that makes Americans not vote Dem. The basic Dem formula was "if we would just work with our allies, we would make ourselves safe through weapons inspections, there would be no graft, Saddam is not so bad as to be pulled from power, the world would be safer, there wouldn't be this anti-Americanism". Rot. Americans have pretty good bullsh*t detectors. Dems-you can run and hide, but you can't escape the mirror.

Come up with a better analysis and an actual plan next time.

#2  The fact the Rep's increased their size in the House and Senate always seems to fly under the radar for these types too.

#1  The more that these democrat traitors believe that only the 'stupid' people voted GWB into office, the harder I laugh. Each election cycle that they continue with this grand philosophy means another generation out of power for them. What do they think is going to happen when they tell the voters, "You voted that way cause you're an idiot."

It means Joe/Josie Average is going to say, "Yeah well screw you if you think I'll ever vote for ya."

For a party based on political pandering and bribery, it sure is a strange position to take that pisses off alot of voters. But maybe they figure they can cheat enough to make up the difference.
