#11  What is this reporter's problem? This article just oozes with contempt for the rubes down on the farm. About the only thing he missed was a peasant tugging his forelock respectfully to the wildlife guy to plead "Please 'elp us, gov'ner".

#7  There are also rumors across the Midwest that state game agencies -- sometimes using black helicopters -- are secretly planting mountain lions in farm country.

Damn, those black helicopters are everywhere!

#5  They've been in the East forever. I've seen big cat tracks 5 miles from Perry FL. in Taylor County.

#4  Yes, they are continuing to head east. We had a dead cougar in New Boston Il just last month. They have crossed the Mississipi. Catamounts, why do they hate us?

#2  I have seen 2 Mt. Lions in the last 20 years. One in Oak Mt. State Park just south of Birmingham, Alabama in 1984 and one here on my farm in East Tennessee last fall that killed one of my ducks and almost killed one of my cats. They are beautiful animals but one should beware.
