Derailment Spills 20,000 Gallons of Beer
2004-11-12
Oh God! The humanity!!
CHILHOWIE, Va. - Fourteen cars of an 83-car Norfolk Southern train derailed near an industrial park, leaving the area smelling like a brewery Thursday. About 20,000 gallons of beer leaked from three cars of the Roanoke-bound train, said railway spokesman Robin Chapman. No one was injured when the cars skipped the tracks about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Chapman said.

#8  I think it was last year sometime, that a Jim Beam distillery caught fire and burned? In my liver's opinion, that was an infinitely more tragic event.

#7  The least they could do is tell us what kind of beer. I'm not rushing off to Virginia for Schaeffer, or Hamms, or Meisterbrau but I might if it's Sam Adams.

I believe I can hear a low, agonized moaning.... and the stampede of guys with buckets converging on the area.
