America has indicted a Briton wanted on suspicion of helping shoe-bomber Richard Reid in his failed attempt to down a US passenger jet. Saajid Mohammed Badat, 25, is being held in a London jail and has pleaded innocent to similar charges. He will be tried in the UK in February. He was arrested in Britain in November last year and is accused by US authorities of conspiring to destroy an aircraft and several related crimes. [snip]
