Inquiry into threat to Spanish secret service
2004-09-28
An investigation was underway Tuesday after two newspapers in the southern city of Almeria received copies of a letter written in Arabic threatening law enforcement personnel involved in the war against Islamic terrorism. Juan Jose Lopez Garzon, the central government's representative to the Andalusia region, told a press conference the letter appeared last week. He urged local residents to remain calm.
"Remain calm, all is well!"
Lopez Garzon declined comment on whether any evidence had been uncovered pointing to the existence of the group that sent the letters, the self-proclaimed "Andalusian Suicide Brigades." "(Citizens) may rest assured that any incident of this sort, no matter how dubious, will be investigated thoroughly," he said. "And this case will, naturally, be handled in such a fashion."

#1  What dummies. Making threats without asking for something like millions or 78 spanish virgins, etc. Don't these idiots know who is in charge there? Hell, we all know what that "suckh fashion" is in Spain.
