Pity Mister Palestine. He is looking less the tragic King Lear these days than the mad King Canute, standing on the sea shore and ordering the tide to turn back. Even his most admiring devotees are having difficulty discerning the Mandela struggling to emerge from his trademark olive drab.
Mandela? Hell, he's heading for the Papa Doc- Baby Doc neighborhood of hell, if he's not already there.
Think of him as a more successful Charlie Taylor.

2. Actually if you want to be perfectly precise in describing Suha's religious membership...She was born into an Arab Christian family, but in 1990 she converted to being a Muslim. I don't think you can maintain dual faith membership cards like dual citizenship.

He acted really chauvinistically toward her. That would be funny if he got confused, thinking it was his wife and was like "come Suha, I need you to give me some lovin'" and he puckers up & the camera zooms in on those nasty lips of his...He looks like one of those senile, tootheless Alzheimer's patients. He's looking really creepy these days. Those glasses don't help either...He does have Alzheimer's I believe. She asked him if he feared that the Israelis might kill him (this was during the seige of his Ramallah compound, as he was cornered in one lil room after his entire compound was bulldozed...) and he was like "You forget with whom you speak...Little lady you are speaking with GENERAL Yasser Arafat.
