| Navy deploys 3 more(?) aircraft carriers |

| Three aircraft carriers and their escort ships and submarines are sailing in Mediterranean and Eastern Atlantic waters this summer as part of the Navy quick-response exercise Summer Pulse ’04. As you might remember, it was reported that SEVEN ACGs were headed to the Pacific for this same exercise. http://tinyurl.com/37r46 . Is this a total of 10 groups being deployed or 3 of the 7? If it is 10, red flags will be going up all over the place. |

| #6 It's more than a little comforting to consider how America will now have afloat more functional arms and delivery vehicles than most countries can rally from their complete inventory. I like that. It just gives us a nice warm feeling, all over, doesn't it? |
