Indonesian police arrest top terror suspect |
2004-06-28 |
Indonesian police Monday announced the arrest of a Muslim militant for allegedly playing a role in a string of terrorist attacks. Inspector General Dadang Garnida, deputy chief of the national police, confirmed the arrest of the man, identified only with the initial "D," but gave no further details. Dulmatin, perchance? Garnida only said the suspect is not Azahari bin Husin or Noordin Mohammed Top -- two Malaysian bomb experts wanted for their alleged involvement in the October 2002 Bali nightclub bombings and the August 2003 blast at the J.W. Marriott hotel in Jakarta. |
