NO ONE should have to produce personal identification if there does not exist any sort of "probable cause" to associate them with an existing crime. Our nation is spiraling towards, perhaps not an "Orwellian" police state, but idiocy, at least.

#2  This decision is crap.

It smacks of police state type activity.

I absolutely cannot fathom why the government can demand your identity and jail you for not providing it, in the absence of a crime or reasonable suspicion of criminal activity. The police shoudl at least have to tell you why you were stopped or pulled aside to be identified PRIOR to demanding your ID. Kind of like the Miranda warning.
