| A PAKISTANI drug trafficker was beheaded in Saudi Arabia, a Ministry of Interior statement said. Moataber bin Khan was convicted of smuggling an undisclosed amount of heroin into the kingdom. He was beheaded in the Red Sea port city of Jiddah, bringing the total number of beheadings this year to 48. Last year, at least 49 people were beheaded in the kingdom. Drugs like heroin regularly enter Saudi Arabia from Pakistan, which lies along a route for smuggling narcotics to the Middle East and Europe. |

| #3 They gotta be hanging out at the Palaces - no place else to hide... You know that there are hundreds right? And that some of the compounds enclose more than 1 sqkm - chockfull of buildings... As for the beer or bangers or seeing a Page 3 Girl, Bahrain is your escape route. Going to a movie at Seef Mall was my big thrill. Never did find a decent Italian Sausage pizza - in 3 years of looking. To paraphrase something I heard back in the Army... The wind in Saudi doesn't blow, it sucks. |

| #2 speaking of beheading - took my boys to see Kill Bill Vol 1 by Quentin Tarantino - a real kick, lke Pulp Fiction, and with a lot of violence (and an anime cartoon as part of the plot) in an homage to the old kung-fu/samurai movies. Even has Sonny Chiba in it. #1 on the charts and Vol 2 will make even more money in February |

| #1 I find this surpising. Saudi Arabia doesn't strike me as a place that would put up with a bunch of junkies hanging around. I thought they had to go to Bahrain just for a beer. |
