Egyptian Cleric Suspended Over Iraq Edict | |

The Egyptian government-appointed head of Islamâs highest seat of learning yesterday suspended a senior cleric who had called on Muslim states to boycott Iraqâs US-appointed governing council. Al-Azhar chief Sheikh Mohamad Sayyed Tantawi said Egyptian cleric Sheikh Nabawi Mohamad Al-Ish âdoes not represent Al-Azhar.â

#1 WOW! Looks like Mumbarak wants to keep his little kingdom alive a bit longer. Note that ALL clerics are puppets in Arab states. I wonder/hope this is a trend to tone down the Anti-U.S. crap they have been spewing. |
