| Director Sidney Lumet is shooting a movie for HBO called "Strip Searchâ that will look into supposed abuses of civil rights since 9/11. (Such as ?????) "Itâs inspired by real-life incidents, examples of a sort of McCarthyism that has existed since the attacks,â MSNBC quotes an "insider" as saying. (When did the Senate EVER have a McCarthy Coommittee? Note: The HOUSE had a committee on UN-American Activity, but I donât think SENATOR McCarthy could serve on it. Liberals hate facts.) "Itâs about people whoâve been punished for saying and thinking things in a country where thereâs supposed to be freedom of speech and thought. Thereâs no doubt that it will be controversial, given the level of emotions on this subject.â (You mean stupid Hollywood types that now canât find a market for their âtalentâ) Really? The primary places that Americans are punished for speaking and thinking are the leftist-dominated universities and failed government school monopolies and leftist-dominated Hollywood. Is that what the movie is about? (Wonder if they will show a conservative speaker on campus being shouted at by some commie wannbes?) Apparently not. Lumet is a noted "liberal," and his stars include leftist actresses Glenn Close and Maggie Gyllenhaal, so count on yet another Bush-bashing fantasy from Tinseltownâs ignorami. (Unless they have some hardcore scenes or they make up a lot of sh** this is a stinker. But we should thank this guy, because he will shine a light on the idiocy that is Hollywood.) |
