Sharon, Abu Mazen to meet on Thursday: Zionist officials |

Beirut, May 29, IRNA -- Political officials of the Zionist regime were quoted on Wednesday night as saying that the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is scheduled to meet the Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, alias Abu Mazen, in Jerusalem (the occupied holy Qods) on Thursday. Announcing the news in its Wednesday night news edition, Radio Tel Aviv added, "... It is yet possible that the time of the Abu Mazen-Sharon meeting will be changed." Paleobomber alert In a meeting with the Spanish foreign minister in Ramallah, the PA premier said on Wednesday that he will have a meeting with Sharon in "very near future" to discuss with him the Mideast Quartet's proposed "roadmap", that also has the backing of the Arab League. The PA's Minister of Foreign Affairs Nabil Sha'th, too, expressed hope later on Wednesday that the Sharon-Abu Mazen meeting would lead to taking effective and practical steps toward the implementation of the roadmap. Watch out for those speed bumps. |
