President pledges to 'find killers'
2003-05-13
President Bush denounced the bombings in Saudi Arabia that killed up to 91 people, including seven Americans, as the work of "killers whose only faith is hate." He vowed to "find the killers and they will learn the meaning of American justice."
Is it just me, or is anybody else getting tired of hearing about "hate"? It's just a quibble, but I think "hatred" is more correct...
Bush said "the ruthless murder of American citizens and other citizens reminds us that the war on terror continues." The president made the remarks at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, where he was speaking on his tax-cut and economic stimulus plan. "Anytime anybody attacks our homeland, or our fellow citizens, we will be on the hunt," he said. "We will bring them to justice."
With or without Soddy help?
"Just ask the Taliban," Bush added, recalling the U.S. victory over the Taliban government of Afghanistan. I'm optimistic we can overcome anything in our path," he said.

#5  The Saudis better come clean and help get the murderers AND their support and their C&C net. If they don't the parasite al-Qaeda will kill the Saudi host. That means that the royal "family" better get its collective head out of its collective ass. If the Saudis do not clean up, then al-Qaeda will eventually get full control of the oil wealth and we will have to go in militarily. I have not been over to that fabled land, but my bet is that the Saudis will do a half assed hearted effort and will fail. We have to deny al-Qaeda Saudi Petro Dollars or we will be way behind the power curve on the WOT. My wild-assed guess is that Saudi money finances at least on-third of terrorist activity in the world.

If this means application of the death penalty, great.

#3  I don't think anyone could ever credit President Bush as being the best speaker, especially off the cuff, but the most important thing is that he will act upon events instead of making speech after grandiose speech.

#2  I also wish he used the word "murdered" instead of killed (you can legitimately kill, for example in self defense).
