The National Committee for the Support of the Palestinian Resistance on Tuesday launched a project aimed at providing drinking water to the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian camp. This is the first drinking water project in the camp. Up till now, camp residents have been drinking water from artesian wells. The project is expected to cost some $50,000 and is being financed by Iranâs Islamic Republic to âsupport the resistance of the Palestinian people.â The inauguration ceremony took place at a local religious school. It was attended by the Iranian Embassyâs adviser, Abdel-Rahman Qassemian, the secretary of the National Committee for the Support of the Palestinian Resistance, Abu Yasser, and the Hamas delegate representative in this country, Osama Hamdan. The campâs senior personalities and religious leaders also attended the opening ceremony.
