| The Pentagon has denied Iraqi claims that its anti-aircraft batteries shot down a US or British fighter jet during an air raid on Friday morning. US officials told Sky News that all Allied aircraft were accounted for and none had been shot down. An Iraqi military spokesman told the official INA news agency that an American or British fighter jet had been shot down at 0255 Friday GMT inside Kuwaiti territory. "Alistair, was that you?"
