| #12 Anon and Bulldog. I may have taken a couple of shots at him, but I agree with you on Murat. I think he has a hard time seeing the obvious, but I hope he sticks around too. Nothing wrong with hearing out opposing views. I just hope he's got a thick skin. |

| #11 Agree with you about Murat, Anon, it's healthy to keep an open shop. To deny him his opinions makes us a bit hypocritical, even if he's sadly deluded. Hope he sticks around and maybe learns something new while he's here. |

| #9 Mojo, As a Brit I keep a special eye on the BBC. Frankly I've been surprised how little bias there's been on TV, radio and web thus far. What there is has been anti-war, but I thought it would be a lot worse. It's generally pro-Labour (not Liberal - the Lib Dems are nowhere near power), i.e. Blair's party, who mostly oppose war. Tony's fighting damn hard to keep the UK from succumbing to pressure from a mass of misguided peaceniks here, and it is costing him personally one hell of a lot. He's got more guts than I credited him for. The longer the situation goes on like this the harder it will be for him to resist the pressure. The sooner action is taken, the better. If Tony lost the fight here it would make GWB look very isolated indeed over there. |

| #8 Anybody is entitled to a personal opinion, and Murat (could be a french or turkish name, I don't know, btw) is no exception. Even though I've mixed feelings about a coming US iraqi intervention - this is an euro-weenie liberal here, after all...- I'm convinced the "warblogs" general pow is the correct one. You're right (mostly) and we're wrong. If Murat doesn't agree, too bad, but it is his choice. Plus, he usually seems to elaborate his thoughts, always a plus. I hope he'll stick around. |

| #6 Most of the people's comments on that site freely admit they don't know the facts, aren't very interested, figure Saddam probably deserves it, but they sure don't want to do any fighting themselves and are mostly against any war just on general principals. That's hardly what I'd call informed, principled opposition. And without statistical demographic information on how the interviewees and how the interviews were conducted, the responses posted could be very misleading. The BBC is a very biased "news" agency. |

| #5 I don't know from which part of the wonderful peace movement you are (nazi, communist, catholic, generic hate for the West?) but anyway you forgot that NPR while broadcasting a program that should have been against the war had to say that in Amman, capital of Jordan it could not find a single Iraqi speaking against war. It is USA, Israel and the Iraqi. It's more than enough, and you are not missed. Let the soldiers defend your freedom and your life, go, march in Washington, have fun while our soldiers defend you too. |

| #4 Murat, nothing you post here matters. The war is happening anyway. It's happening because the (mostly) good folk running the US will see that this job gets done. It's called L-E-A-D-E-R-S-H-I-P. Get used to it, because I can't imagine that Iraq is the last stop on this train. |
