| As the U.N. weapons inspectors arrived in Baghdad Monday, Middle Eastern newspapers are reporting that U.S. embassies in Arab capitals have quietly urged U.S. citizens to leave the region before Dec. 7, or just before Eid al-Fitr, the celebration marking the end of Ramadan. An Arab source says some Middle East governments were caught by surprise, believing Baghdad's acceptance of Security Council Resolution 1441 opening the way for U.N. weapons inspections had eased the tension in the region. So the Arabs are drawing what they consider the inevitable conclusion: the Bush administration plans to go ahead with its strike against Saddam Hussein regardless of the outcome of the U.N. inspections. Light begins to dawn, clue found, etc. |

| #5 I doubt it will happen until the January 2003 new moon date at the earliest. My bet is February 1st which is start of new moon. This will last until Feb 9th which is first quarter. Considering that transition phasing we will get at least 5 days of darkness for both bombing and insertion. Thus, Rummy's "5 days". Couple this up with a full-stream mobilization continuing for 2 more weeks and another 2 weeks to clean up, set up the admin centers and round up the bad guys corpses, etc. you are out to the "5 week" limitation. You won't need more and everyone including Sammy's cat knows that. |

| #4 Sure would be neat if "The Great Satan Clause" brought Sammy a Bunker Buster for Christmas. A bow on it would be a nice touch. First, of course, Bush has to give him his Christmas card. He should be receiving that about 30 seconds before his present. |

| #3 Dec 8th is the date Saddam has to hand over the list of WMD that he says he ain't got. We look over the list, present the evidence that shows he is lying out his ass, the Iraqis object, etc, etc. That's when the fecal matter strikes the air handler. The U.S. wants any U.S. citizens out of the area before then (Dec 7) to avoid any problems with the "arab street" taking it out on them. |
