| Afghans seize weapons cache during raids |

| Police raided two buildings in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday, seizing explosives. Haji Ajab Shah, the police inspector general for Nangarhar province, said the first raid on a house in Acheen, about 37 miles east of Jalalabad, turned up explosives, mortar shells, 54 boxes of machine gun ammunition and rocket-propelled grenades.
