W. Bank security chief in Cairo amid reports he may be ousted |

The head of the Preventive Security service in the West Bank, Jibril Rajoub, arrived unexpectedly in Cairo on Friday amid reports that Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat may oust him from the PA following the IDF incursion into the West Bank. According to the report, published Monday in the London-based Al Hayat daily, Rajoub arrived in Cairo alone. The paper quoted a source saying that Rajoub's trip abroad may be "extended" and that his trip may mean he is leaving the Palestinian Authority.
