Abu Zubaydah, a top planner and recruiter for Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network, is a ``big fish'' in the organization, Rumsfeld said in a Fox TV interview. Zubaydah is under U.S. control at an undisclosed location, recovering from bullet wounds suffered during his capture last month in Pakistan. Rumsfeld said Zubaydah's wounds were severe and became infected, but his survival no longer seems in doubt. Zubaydah is the third- or four-ranking leader in al-Qaida and was deeply involved in planning terrorist attacks, Rumsfeld said. At one point he called Zubaydah a ``fountain of information,'' but later revised his characterization to ``fountain of knowledge'' to indicate that he knows a lot but has not revealed much.
