A close aide of bloodthirsty warlord and leader of the Hizb-e-Islami Gulbadin Hikmatyar, Commander Haji Kashmir Khan, announced full support to the new interim government in Kabul. He was addressing to a gathering at Asadabad, the capital city of Kunar province of Afghanistan. Kashmir Khan expressed full confidence in the leadership of Hamid Karzai. He hoped that the new government would lead to the development and prosperity of the war-torn country.
Either that endorsement cost a bundle or the regime can expect some serious burrowing from within. Or both. |
