Pakistani Ambassador to Tehran Javed Hussein termed Iran and Pakistan as a "nation" for their long-term historic and cultural relations. In a meeting with OCIC head Hojjatoleslam Mohammadi Araqi, he emphasized the necessity of Iran-Pakistan cooperation to establish an stable peace in the war-stricken Afghanistan. Araqi suggested that the two countries' closer ties "would neutralize all the enemies' plots."
