Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul made nearly $6 million on Alphabet stock and placed bets to make more cash on Amazon and Apple as House moves to break companies up
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul made moves on the stock market that suggest the House's trust-busting attempt won't hurt tech giants

  • Bloomberg News reported that Paul Pelosi exercised call options to acquire 4,000 shares of Alphabet stock, at a strike price of $1,200

  • That made him a $4.8 million gain, which has grown to $5.3 million since

  • On May 21, Paul Pelosi also bought 20 call options for Amazon, with a strike price of $3,000 as well as 50 call options of Apple stock, with a strike price of $100

  • The House speaker noted the moves on disclosures filed July 2, Bloomberg said

  • Paul Pelosi's transactions are not suspected of violating STOCK Act

  • Paul Pelosi's bets on so-called 'Big Tech,' came as the House was moving ahead on legislation to break the companies up

  • The House Judiciary Committee approved six antitrust bills, but it's unclear when they'll get a vote on the floor of the House

  • Speaker Pelosi said last month that she supported the bills, which may have an even harder time getting past a deadlocked Senate

#7  Sorry guys and gals, there was nothing improper about this gain. He bought Google options one year ago, just like anyone else could have. If you buy “at the money” call options, like he did, on a stock, and it doubles, like Google did, you make huge money.

He had NO idea Google would double when he bought the options. No one did.

As they say Timing is everything.

New Yorkers are forced to wade through rat-infested waters to get home as torrential rain floods the subway and AOC says it's the result of Americans taking 'orders from fossil fuel execs' - as Big Apple braces for Tropical Storm Elsa to hit
Posted by: Skidmark || 07/09/2021 09:28 || Comments || Link || [4 views] Top|| File under:

#1  Contrary to what AOC says, this is a result of inadequate drainage and rat control. It's the kind of thing that happens in Third World socialist shit holes which is what New York is well on the way to becoming thanks to commie politicians like AOC and Wilhelm deBlasio.

I bet even now, if they installed some diesel powered pumps, that water could be pumped out to a proper storm drain. But then, that would require the use of fossil fuel.

One Time Dem Savior Mike Avenatti Sentenced to 30 months
[MSN] Not long ago, Michael Avenatti was a fixture on cable news, the bellicose nemesis of former President Donald Trump as lawyer to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. He even briefly considered a run for president.

On Thursday, Avenatti dropped another few pegs on his descent into disrepute.

A federal judge in Manhattan sentenced Avenatti to 30 months in prison for trying to extort millions of dollars from Nike.

"Michael Avenatti used illegal and extortionate threats and betrayed one of his clients for the purpose of seeking to obtain millions of dollars for himself," Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a statement about the sentencing. "Not only did Avenatti attempt to weaponize his law license and celebrity to seek to extort payments for himself, he also defrauded his own client. Avenatti will now serve substantial time in prison for his criminal conduct."
[a light sentence but he has another criminal trial coming up in Orange Co. CA - also, see video of CNN and MSNBC praising Avenatti]

Government Corruption
23 High-Ranking Officials in Biden Administration All Came from the Same Shadowy Firm
[BeckerNews] Many of the highest-ranking members of the Biden administration came from the same shadowy firm. It is a relatively new name among revolving-door power brokers in Washington D.C., which makes it all the more surprising.

Founded in 2017, WestExec describes itself as a “diverse group of senior national security professionals with the most recent experience at the highest levels of the U.S. government. With deep knowledge and networks in the fields of defense, foreign policy, intelligence, cybersecurity, international economics, and strategic communications, our team has worked together around the White House Situation Room table, deliberating and deciding our nation’s foreign and national security policies.”

The Biden Administration Banned Me From COVID Relief Because I'm A White Man
[THEFEDERALIST] When my wife and I opened Jake’s Bar and Grill three years ago in small-town Harriman, Tennessee, we had no idea we would face discrimination from the federal government, let alone sue the government and receive an injunction in our favor. But on May 27, a 2-1 ruling from the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals granted us a preliminary injunction halting a federal program that used people’s race and sex to determine their eligibility for $29 billion in COVID-19 relief for restaurants.

My name is Antonio Vitolo. My wife Danielle and I operate our restaurant full time as our main means of income. Our sales were great in January and February of 2020, but by the end of March we saw a significant decline due to COVID-19 lockdowns.

In April, we went from making about $50,000 per month in sales to a little over $9,000. We were forced to do carry-out only and, since we are in a very rural area, we only had enough business to justify being open on the weekends.

When the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra)
...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know...
promised the American Rescue Plan Act’s Restaurant Revitalization Fund would provide financial aid to restaurants through the Small Business Administration (SBA), we were relieved. I registered for an account the Friday before the application portal opened. On Monday, May 3, I was sitting at my computer within an hour of the portal’s opening to complete the application.

I answered the questions honestly, including the ones asking about race and sex. After I applied, I received an email saying I would not be considered for funding for at least 21 days, while other "priority" applicants — women and minorities — were considered.

As a Hispanic woman, my wife fits both of those categories. But because we each own 50 percent of the venture, and I am a white man, we were sent to the back of the application line. We also heard the SBA would likely run out of funds by the time we could be considered.

We could not believe it. Here we were, a once successful and booming restaurant, knocked down by government lockdowns and looking for any help to get back on our feet. Yet we were denied priority, not because other restaurants had greater needs, but because of my sex and race. This is not what America is about.

In A Healthy Country, The Bidens Would Be Seen As The Picture Of Elite Corruption
[THEFEDERALIST] On January 3rd, 2019, around 7:30 p.m., Hunter Biden
...son of President Joe: cashiered from the Navy, a crackhead, wheeler dealer, leg humper, horn dog, and general all around ne'er do well. We're supposed to feel sorry for him.....
sent a text message to his 25-year-old daughter Naomi. "I love all of you," he wrote, "But I don’t receive any respect and that’s fine I guess — works for you apparently. I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years. It’s really hard."

"But don’t worry," Hunter continued, "unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary."

Federal Judge Rejects Challenge to Georgia Voting Law
[THEEPOCHTIMES] A federal judge in Georgia declined to block portions of the recently passed Georgia election law after an organization filed a legal challenge that sought to invalidate parts of the mandate.

The Coalition for Good Governance, a left-leaning group that describes itself as an election security group, opposed the Election Integrity Act of 2021’s provision that voters request absentee ballots at least 11 days ahead of Election Day. The suit also asked the court to intervene to rescind restrictions on election observers.

But U.S. District Judge J.P. Boulee, in ruling against the petition, said he wouldn’t "change the law in the ninth inning" in reference to ongoing runoff elections for seats in the Georgia state House.

Desperate Dems Deny Their Agenda Three Times
[ISSUESINSIGHTS] Three of the big issues of the day have the liberal left scrambling to pretend that it’s not a group of outside-the-mainstream radicals: defunding police, Critical Race Theory, and voter ID laws. There should be repercussions for such cravenness.

After spending the better part of the year talking up a "defund the police" agenda, Democrats are now trying to claim that it’s Republicans who want to strip the police of their resources.

Defund the Police: For more than a year, leading Democrats — up to and including President Joe The Big Guy Biden

Prog NGOs to Biden: ignore Human Rights in China; climate more important
Over 40 progressive groups sent a letter to President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
and politicians on Wednesday urging them to prioritize cooperation with China on climate change and curb its confrontational approach over issues like Beijing's crackdown on Hong Kong and forced detention of Uyghur Moslems....The progressive organizations, including the Sunrise Movement and the Union of Concerned Scientists, "call on the Biden administration and all members of Congress to eschew the dominant antagonistic approach to U.S.-China relations and instead prioritize multilateralism, diplomacy, and cooperation with China to address the existential threat that is the climate crisis," their letter reads.
