Former California congresswoman Katie Hill, who resigned in 2019 amid a highly publicized "throuple" sex scandal, said in a new interview that she is mulling another run for office.
Hill told "Axios on HBO" that in hindsight she now believes the scandal was "politically survivable," citing two current elected officials — Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz — who are facing their own allegations of sexual misconduct, but have refused to resign.
"You really wonder how much of it was the pressure I put on myself because I was a woman, and because I’d been an advocate for the #MeToo movement, and how much of it was sexism and ... the public shaming aspect of it, the revenge-porn aspect of it," Hill told the network of her resignation.
The former lawmaker revealed she is contemplating another run, but admitted it would "take a lot" for her to do so.
Hill resigned in October 2019 after she admitted to being in a "throuple" relationship with her now-ex-husband Kenneth Heslep and a 22-year-old female campaign staffer. Who was a lot hotter, btw

The more that Manchin digs in his heels against ambitious legislation, the more restive the squad is likely to become, raising difficult questions over whether Biden is applying sufficient pressure to bring the doubters on board. I wonder how well Antifa would do in West Virginia.

And when Harris told Guatemalans, "Do not come" to the US, Ocasio-Cortez called the comment "disappointing" and noted that it is legal to seek asylum. Is there anyone who likes Harris? I mean other than Willie Brown.
Ocasio-Cortez has also been pushing Biden to face up to the fact that bipartisanship with a radicalized Republican party is a doomed enterprise.

[HOTAIR] Governor Abbott threatened to defund the Texas Legislature after Texas Democrats walked out of the legislative session rather than take a vote on election reform laws. When they broke quorum and shut down the session, Abbott said that if politicians weren’t going to do their jobs, they shouldn’t be paid. Friday Abbott made good on that threat.
The elections bill was a top priority for the governor during this year’s session. Texas Democrats decided to cut and run, breaking quorum, instead of voting on Senate Bill 7. They knew that the Republicans had the votes to pass the legislation — both the Texas House and the Texas Senate hold Republican majorities. By breaking quorum when they did, Texas Democrats also stopped bail legislation reform, another of the governor’s priorities. Rather than do their jobs and vote, Democrats walked out, something that has rarely been done in the past. It is a cowardly move, not a move exhibiting strength.
At that time, at the end of May, Abbott tweeted out his intention to hold politicians accountable and said he would veto Article 10 in the budget which funds the legislative branch. On May 31 he tweeted: "I will veto Article 10 of the budget passed by the legislature. Article 10 funds the legislative branch. No pay for those who abandon their responsibilities. Stay tuned."
Texas has a biennial legislature which means it meets every other year. On Friday Governor Abbott signed the two-year state budget. He touted the budget as fiscally conservative. "It includes no new taxes and a budget surplus of more than $1 billion."

MediaBiasFactCheck.com also claims The Gateway Pundit reports "propaganda," "conspiracy," "Nationalism" and "Some Fake News" and shares its "low credibility" rating with every prominent centrist or right of center media organizations. These media organizations include the Daily Caller, Breitbart, The Blaze, The Daily Wire, The Daily Mail, Epoch Times, The Federalist, Louder With Crowder, Project Veritas and Washington Free Beacon.

Lightfoot, a self-declared "longtime" fan, issued a statement slamming the announcement as just "noise."
"The Bears are locked into a lease at Soldier Field until 2033. In addition, this announcement from the Bears comes in the midst of negotiations for improvements at Soldier Field. This is clearly a negotiating tactic that the Bears have used before," Lighttfoot’s statement read.
"As a season ticketholder and longtime Bears fan, I am committed to keeping the ’Chicago’ name in our football team."
To further convey her point, Lightfoot took a jab at the Bears.
"Like most Bears fans, we want the organization to focus on putting a winning football team on the field, beating the Packers finally and being relevant past October. Everything else is noise."
The Bears have played at Soldier Field since 1972 and despite ongoing talks about renovations, capacity plays a big role in the organization's desire to relocate.
President & CEO Ted Phillips issued a statement on Thursday confirming a bid for the Arlington International Racecourse property, which sits just 35 miles outside Chicago.
"It's our obligation to explore every possible option to ensure we're doing what's best for our organization and its future. If selected, this step allows us to further evaluate the property and its potential."

Born a couple of blocks north of there on Lake Shore Drive.
Had my best, favorite a car accident at Soldier's Field.
Driving an inter-company mail route, southbound in fast lane 2 of 6 southbound. Green Maverick cuts left across 6 southbound lanes right in front of me. I'm driving a heavy Oldsmobile station wagon. I swerve to the left, spinning, and hit the Maverick in the trunk with my backend.
I turn into the SF parking lot and there's a tactical defensive driving traffic cop in the lot watching the whole thing.
Two Asians [Japanese] driving the Maverick pull in behind me and get out yelling at each other and trying to get into the crushed trunk.
The cop tells me "that's the best collision avoidance driving I've ever seen!" He goes to the Japanese guys and settles them down. One is trying to go back into the southbound traffic and sweep up the dust.

She's displaying her level of competence in her hanling of the Biden Border Surge has "not shown adequate interest in observing this crisis first-hand."
A major sticking point has been Harris’ refusal (so far) to visit the US border herself. When pressed on the issue she has punted. Former President Trump — who made immigration a central talking point of his administration — said he will visit the border later this month with his close ally Texas, Gov. Greg Abbot.

The Catholic Church has consistently taught that taking an innocent human life in child sacrifice abortion is always gravely evil and has declared that Catholic politicians are obliged to oppose laws permitting child sacrifice abortion or euthanasia, noting that "it is impossible to promote such laws or to vote for them."
