[PJMedia] When President Biden signed his executive order for a review and update to ICE enforcement procedures, he also put Operation Talon on hold. Operation Talon is a nationwide ICE operation that arrests and removes convicted sex offenders illegally in the United States. The effects of this order have been immediate, with the cancelation of a joint operation to arrest at-large sex offenders:
ICE had been planning a nationwide operation in partnership with the U.S. Marshals targeting at-large sex offenders, but it was scuttled by the new directive. According to one of my ICE sources, most of the targets do not clearly meet the new standards, especially in California, where sex offenders routinely get to plead down to far lesser charges, especially if it helps them avoid deportation, and where certain sex crimes, such as sex with a minor, are not classified as felonies as they are in other states. Another ICE officer told me that they had more than two dozen deportable sex offender targets at large in his area who now will be free to re-offend.
As Biden has essentially thrown open the border to migrant caravans and the cartels that traffic human beings over the border, reducing the enforcement in this area is appalling. His executive order halted most immigration enforcement, with "aggravated felons" being the notable exceptions—but only if their aggravated felony occurred in the last ten years. According to a list compiled by the Center for Immigration Studies, illegal immigrants with the following convictions and in the following numbers will no longer meet the criteria for deportation:
Sexual Assault: 1,478
Sex Offense: 825
Smuggling Aliens: 603
Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Minor: 505
Kidnapping: 305
Sexual Exploitation of a Minor: 231

A Newsmax spokesperson told The Epoch Times via email that the company was told the Feb. 17 interview was removed because it violated YouTube’s community guidelines.
A Google spokesperson told The Epoch Times via email: "We have clear Community Guidelines that govern what videos may stay on YouTube, and we enforce our Community Guidelines consistently, regardless of speaker and without regard to political viewpoints."
"In accordance with our presidential election integrity policy, we removed this video from the Newsmax TV channel," the spokesperson added.
The set of policies cited is aimed at preventing spam, scams, and deceptive practices, the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,-based company says. Included is a policy implemented late last year. Google said in announcing the policy that it would remove "content that misleads people by alleging that widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election."
Trump during the Newsmax interview alleged he won the 2020 election, among other claims.
Trump made similar claims in interviews with Fox News this week. Those remain on YouTube.
The former president also spoke with One America News. That network hasn’t uploaded videos for approximately one month.
Newsmax later posted a video of host Greg Kelly, who interviewed Trump, summarizing and playing portions of the interview. That video remains live.

Ro Khanna (D-CA) believes "now is the right time" for Congress to press forward with a $15-an-hour minimum wage, something they tied to the latest COVID relief package.
According to Khanna, Amazon and Target made a decision to raise their minimum wage to $15-an-hour across the nation. As a result, Khanna says, the companies have produced more jobs (yet he doesn't take into account that more people are shopping online due to lockdown restrictions and the pandemic).
The most concerning aspect, however, is Khanna knows pushing up the minimum wage would be detrimental to small businesses, yet he doesn't care.
"Businesses like Amazon and McDonald's, for example, can and perhaps should, pay more, but I'm wondering, what is your plan for smaller businesses?" CNN's Abby Phillip asked. "How does this, in your view, affect mom and pop businesses who are just struggling to keep their doors open, keep workers on the payroll right now?"
"Well, they shouldn't be doing it by paying people low wages," Khanna replied. "We don't want low-wage businesses. Most successful small businesses can pay a fair wage."
According to the congressman, if workers were paid for their productivity, they would be making $23-an-hour.
"I love small businesses. I'm all for it but I don't want small businesses that are underpaying employees," he said. "It's fair for people to make what they're producing and I think $15 is very reasonable in this country."

It would be easy to say the guy is out of touch with reality but it's far more likely he that he really is waging war against the middle class.
But this is also a war against entry level and unskilled workers. A $15 minimum wage means these workers are legally prohibited from competing for jobs with workers in other countries. I mean, try imposing a $15 minimum wage on China and see what happens.

One wonders what this Court waits for. We failed to settle this dispute before the election and thus provide clear rules. Now we again fail to provide clear rules for future elections. The decision to leave election law hidden beneath a shroud of doubt is baffling. By doing nothing, we invite further confusion and erosion of voter confidence. Our fellow citizens deserve better and expect more of us. I respectfully dissent.”

The decision, the second time the Apex court has weighed in on the matter, was announced in an order with no noted dissents. The news further imperils the ex-president, who is facing investigations in New York and elsewhere.
The development is a brutal defeat for the former president. Trump has dismissed the Manhattan prosecutors' investigation as a political "witch hunt" and has fought all the way to the high court to keep his tax returns under wraps.
Because of the secrecy of grand jury proceedings, the decision does not mean Trump's financial records will become public.
Trump has been waging a protracted legal battle to prevent his tax records from being handed over to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance.

There will be nothing in there. Trump's taxes are not done by Trump the day before Tax day. they are don't be a horde of the best tax attorneys and most certainly gone over by the IRS with a fine toothed comb already.
