[NY Post] Governor Cuomo’s top aide privately apologized to Democratic lawmakers for withholding the state’s nursing-home death toll from COVID-19 — telling them "we froze" out of fear the true numbers would "be used against us" by federal prosecutors, The Post has learned.
The stunning admission of a cover-up was made by Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa during a video conference call with state Democratic leaders in which she said the Cuomo administration had rebuffed a legislative request for the tally in August because "right around the same time, [then-President Donald Trump] turns this into a giant political football," according to an audio recording of the two-hour-plus meeting.
"He starts tweeting that we killed everyone in nursing homes," DeRosa said. "He starts going after [New Jersey Gov. Phil] Murphy, starts going after [California Gov. Gavin] Newsom, starts going after [Michigan Gov.] Gretchen Whitmer."
In addition to attacking Cuomo’s fellow Democratic governors, DeRosa said, Trump "directs the Department of Justice to do an investigation into us."
"And basically, we froze," she told the lawmakers on the call.
"Because then we were in a position where we weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice, or what we give to you guys, what we start saying, was going to be used against us while we weren’t sure if there was going to be an investigation."
DeRosa added: "That played a very large role into this."
After dropping the bombshell, DeRosa asked for "a little bit of appreciation of the context" and offered what appears to be the Cuomo administration’s first apology for its handling of nursing homes amid the pandemic.
But instead of a mea culpa to the grieving family members of more than 13,000 dead seniors or the critics who say the Health Department spread COVID-19 in the care facilities with a March 25 state Health Department directive that nursing homes admit infected patients, DeRosa tried to make amends with the fellow Democrats for the political inconvenience it caused them.
"So we do apologize," she said. "I do understand the position that you were put in. I know that it is not fair. It was not our intention to put you in that political position with the Republicans."
Assembly Health Committee Chairman Richard Gottfried (D-Manhattan) immediately rejected DeRosa’s expression of remorse, according to the recording.
"I don’t have enough time today to explain all the reasons why I don’t give that any credit at all," said Gottfried, one of the lawmakers who demanded the death-toll data in August.
State Senate Aging Committee Chairwoman Rachel May (D-Syracuse) — who was battered during her re-election bid last year over the issue of nursing-home deaths — also ripped into DeRosa, saying her former opponent had launched another broadside earlier in the day.
"And the issue for me, the biggest issue of all is feeling like I needed to defend — or at least not attack — an administration that was appearing to be covering something up," she said.
"And in a, in a pandemic, when you want the public to trust the public-health officials, and there is this clear feeling that they’re not coming, being forthcoming with you, that is really hard and it remains difficult."

Sure sounds like a case of abuse of office, Fraud and/or Perjury by submitting "known" false government reports during a declared National Emergency.
By stating this, they have also admitted they engaged in a NY Statewide Politically based Leadership level organized Conspiracy. To hide from the US Government and NY/US Citizens their deadly handling mistakes regarding the Wuhan Flu in season #1.
We can see now, their politically based, poorly thought-out handling directives caused 100's, if not 1000's in NY of avoidable deaths.
This falls under the NY statue for Involuntary Homicide § 125.15 This statute defines the involuntary manslaughter charge in a case where the defendant did not intend for the victim die, but acts in such a “reckless” and dangerous manner that the victim does die. A Class "C" Felony can result in up to ten years.

Meanwhile back in Ohio, last I checked the state government refuses to report deaths from COVID matched to individual nursing homes and similar institutions. The state only reports such deaths on a countywide basis. That policy makes it impossible for individuals or the media to know which facilities have had the worst outcomes.

...The detail that sticks out most in my mind about his hospitalization was how many medications he received, including and especially dexamethasone. That’s the steroid that doctors resort to in "severe" cases. The use of "dex" and the experimental antibody treatment he received from Regeneron were proof enough that the daily sunny updates from his physicians weren’t the whole story. "The official WH word was essentially (a) the president is completely fine and (b) here are the 19 designer drugs we’ve put him on, fingers crossed," as Derek Thompson put it. Obviously he had a bad case. We just didn’t know until now how bad. We know that severe Covid can cause mental deterioration - could explain his around Elections behavior. I wonder - how'd the election go if he, using Covid as a reason, stepped aside for Mike Pence?

Dexamethasone is NOT the medications doctors resort to in "severe" cases. In addition the Regeron 2 pack of monoclonal antibodies Trump received is now available nationwide (prepaid by the federal government) for outpatient infusion to high risk recently diagnosed COVID-19 patients at many infusion centers near you. This treatment is specifically NOT for severely ill COVID-19 patients. Entire source article is worthless.

As House managers laid out their case in the impeachment trial on Wednesday, they showed never-before-seen video of rioters inside the Capitol, some of which was more disturbing than any video of the riot I had previously seen.
One such video showed Vice President Mike Pence being rushed by Secret Service agents down a staircase as rioters neared. Stacey Plaskett, a Democratic delegate from the Virgin Islands and one of the House impeachment managers, told senators:
"They were within 100 feet of where the vice president was sheltering with his family, and they were just feet away from the doors of this chamber where many of you remained at that time."
In another video, the crowd could be heard chanting "Hang Mike Pence! Hang Mike Pence!" Outside the Capitol, where makeshift gallows had been set up, others called out: "Bring out Pence!" One rioter taped a video, in which he said: "He’s a total treasonous pig!", as reported by The New York Times.
Regardless of who was responsible for what, there were frightening moments inside the Capitol — at the hands of a mob intent on disrupting the conducting of a democratic process by a joint session of Congress. To deny that is to deny reality.
Note: I’m not assigning blame; I’m merely suggesting that one can condemn the reality of what happened inside the U.S. Capitol without making an unsubstantiated politically-predisposed pronouncement of intent or sinister motive.

Yes, Andy Ngo did originally say that there was no Antifa there, but given all the other witnesses who watched them do the usual Antifa thing, and then others who found looked at the photos of participants and found other photos of them at other Black Bloc events, it appears Mr. Ngo was premature.

[CitzenFreePress] Ron DeSantis lashed out at the Biden administration, promising that the state would strongly and swiftly oppose any attempts to block Americans from traveling to the Sunshine State.
DeSantis’ comments were in response to a Wednesday story by McClatchy that quoted an unnamed White House official saying the administration was considering imposing domestic travel restrictions.
“I think it’s an absurd report that they would be doing that, I think it would be unconstitutional, it would be unwise and it would be unjust. Any attempt to restrict or lock down Florida by the federal government would be an attack on our state done purely for political purposes.”
“If you think about it, restricting the right of Americans to travel freely throughout our country while allowing illegal aliens to pour across the southern border unmolested would be a ridiculous but very damaging farce,” DeSantis said. “So we will oppose it 100%. It would not be based in science, it would purely be a political attack against the people of Florida.”
Jen Psaki addressed the idea of domestic travel considerations at a briefing after DeSantis spoke.
“We are always considering what steps are necessary to keep the American people safe, but we are not currently in the process of, no decisions have been made around additional public health measures that would delay or would change, I should say, domestic travel considerations,” Psaki said.
Marco Rubio wrote a letter to President Biden amid the reports of travel restrictions.
“I write with regard to recent reporting that your administration is considering implementing travel restrictions to my home State of Florida. I cannot underscore enough how reckless and economically harmful this would be to my state and the country as a whole,” Rubio wrote.
“So now that they’re considering actual restrictions on Americans inside the country, I think it is unconstitutional,” Rubio said. “I think it’s going to be challenged in court successfully.”

A recent hand recount in the Rockingham District 7 NH House Race in Windham, New Hampshire, found that the Dominion-owned voting machines shorted EVERY REPUBLICAN by roughly 300 votes.
The Dominion machine counted results were wrong for all 4 Republicans in Windham by almost exactly 300 votes.
The Town of Windham used Dominion machines to count paper ballots and upon a believable hand recount, it was confirmed each Republican was machine-cheated out of roughly 300 votes.
You would think this would have been solved by the Dominion machine company, the Secretary of State, the Elections Unit of the AG’s Office, or the laughable Ballot Law Commission. (Kathy Sullivan, d (Term expires July 1, 2024)

Just like every other state that used machines that alter ballot counts in favor of one political party over another — here we are.
Dominion Voting Systems owns the intellectual property of the AccuVote machines used in New Hampshire.
"The device was originally manufactured by Unisys, then by Global Elections Systems Inc., which are no longer in business," Yen said. "The device used in New Hampshire is no longer being manufactured. Dominion (Voting Systems) owns the intellectual property of the AccuVote and its related election management system but does not manufacture the device."
On Thursday we spoke with Dr. David Strang M.D., the Belknap County Republican Committee State Committee Member, New Hampshire GOP.
David told The Gateway Pundit that the Republican candidates in Windham had 6% of their total votes removed by the Dominion-owned voting machines.
According to Dr. Strang, these same Dominion-owned machines are used in 85% of the towns in New Hampshire.
What makes the New Hampshire results even more suspect:
** Republicans flipped the New Hampshire Senate from 14-10 Democrat to 14-10 Republican in 2020.
** Republicans flipped the New Hampshire House from 230-156 majority Democrat to 213-187 Republican majority in 2020!
** Yet, Joe Biden who was 4th in Dem primary and Kamala Harris, who did not make it to the Dem primary, won the state 52.7 to 45.4 to Trump.
These results are IMPOSSIBLE.
What Democrats did was skim 6% off each GOP candidate in each race where there was a recount.
Despite these recent findings New Hampshire Attorney General Anne Edwards, a Republican, has no plans to investigate the alleged voter fraud in the state.

Given the physical Hand recount repeatedly does not match the voting machines by the same approx percentages.
Shouldn't the electronic count be legally voided and the physical count, upon independent verification, instead used?
Or, is the refusal by the NH SOS (Blue Rhino) based on the concern that it would create a legal precedent case. Which would be used for challenges higher up in the electoral political food chain?
Attorney Gen is conducting a review. Dominion will testify during review. NH says the issue is, to their knowledge, limited to this one town.
