Anti-Hobby Lobby Wisconsin dem sez motherhood not a Hobby
[PJ Media] A Wisconsin Democrat said she's confident the Supreme Court will rule against Hobby Lobby in its protest of the contraceptive mandate because "motherhood is not a hobby."
Bovine logic clearly at work.
The challenge hinges on whether employers can opt out of the requirement because of the religious convictions of the business owners. Arguments will likely be heard in March with a decision in June.

"I am just optimistic about this. I mean, enough already. The fact that they took Hobby Lobby's case with this cohort of 46 companies -- wooden furniture makers, automotive part makers, I think it says it all. I mean, motherhood is not a hobby. Women's health is not some arts and craft. I mean, nobody spends more money at the arts and crafts store than I do," Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) said this morning on MSNBC.
Your 'angry bird stickers' order has arrived Gwen.
"But I don't think those owners should, first of all, be able to decide whether or not I'm going to be a mother. And I think people would be surprised to know that great numbers of women are treated for endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cysts with birth control. And it should not be up to a for-profit company to decide whether or not you should have birth control available to you. Enough already," she added.
The facts, right over her head they it went.
Moore said she's so confident of victory "because I think that the First Amendment, we revere it."

"It protects the rights of religious schools, churches, places of worship. And I think that the sanctity of that is something we all appreciate as Americans," she said.

Actually, Ms. Moore qualifies for both and then some.

Also one of Wisconsin's fine members (along with Sen. Baldwin) of the 'Congressional Progressive Caucus'. This little cadre was founded by the Democratic Socialists of America, so there's really no question about Ms. Moore's world view.

Poor woman didn't even feel the breeze.

In her defense, the gal is probably a product of the Wisconsin Teachers Union.

Champ alledgedly used term 'T-Baggers' in letter to TX teacher.
[Daily Caller] The Champ allegedly used the term “tea-baggers” to describe members of the Tea Party movement in a handwritten response to a fifth-grade school teacher’s letter criticizing Obamacare.

The crude and derogatory term, which is brimming with sexual innuendo, appears in a note penned on stationery bearing the words “The White House” at the top. The man who says he received the missive is Thomas Ritter of Irving, Texas, reports the Daily Mail.

Ritter, 49, had written a letter to the Champ before Congress passed the Affordable Care Act, and well before the law’s embarrassingly disastrous launch.
He didn't write that letter, someone in government wrote that letter for him. Let me be clear. We are conducting a full investigation and will hold those responsible fully accountable, or something like that.

#2  Or else it was the one letter he *did* write. It's entirely consistent with our oh-so-classy president.
I do wonder if he needs a teleprompter to write letters...

#3  Well CF, FOX ran the same story this morning with no mention of T-Baggers. I can't believe their research and editing section would let something like that slide.

#4  I might doubt it if it were anyone else. However, Champ is a man who is vindictive and likes to punish anyone who questions him, his policies, or opposes him.

#6  I doubt it. He cant be that stupid, and besides, he would never spend even a minute on someone who opposes him. He has the IRS and DOJ for that.

#7  Somebody get the teleprompter quick, before he says another word.

#8  To be fair, Mr. Ritter used the term "tea-baggers" (without quotation marks) in his letter to the President. And since we all know how Mr. Obama likes to "wax folksy" when it's convenient to the occasion...

That DC piece does look cheezy, but this was out there on [rummages] wednesday, on pagesix and the mail, at least. I first noticed it here, via Drudge, I thought, but I'm not seeing it in the archives. Here's why I'll take the bait:

in 2009, the New York Times wrote about how Obama has instructed White House staff to select 10 personal letters a day for him to read in order to help him stay outside of the “bubble” that inoculates so many public figures.

SMH. "Dear Comrade Stalin, I'm sure that if you only knew what goes on out here in the heartland, you would help us, but I fear you are surrounded by bootlicking opportunists who keep you in the dark and feed you bullborscht. I have no doubt that you will have them all shot as soon as you read this letter. Sincerely, ..."
