Sanctuary Authorities Asking Public For Help After Releasing Illegal Alien Charged With Child Sexual Assault
[DailyCaller]
  • Francisco Barraza-Porras, a resident of Boulder County, Colorado, was arrested in January and charged with multiple counts of sexual child assault, but was subsequently released back into the public.

  • The Daily Caller News Foundation discovered that Barraza-Porras is an illegal alien, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is conducting an active investigation into his case.

  • ICE confirmed that Boulder County officials do not work with federal immigration authorities, and the sanctuary county does not honor ICE detainer requests.

Biden's brother facing fraud allegations, used family ties to advance business interests: report
[FoxNews] A new report reveals legal problems and allegations of possible fraud involving former Vice President Joe Biden’s brother James, in the latest instance of the Democratic primary front-runner’s family members’ dealings drawing scrutiny amid his presidential bid.

According to Politico, James Biden’s business with medical companies – including Americore Health – has led to allegations that he potentially engaged in fraud and traded on his brother’s name, by claiming Joe was interested in the venture and the family name could provide opportunities.

“It was all smoke and mirrors,” former Americore Health executive Tom Pritchard told Politico. James Biden reportedly convinced Americore that he could use his political clout to deliver a significant influx of cash in the form of an investment from the Middle East, and even convinced the company to take on financial burdens including a six-figure loan to James that he has yet to repay.

James Biden, Americore and Americore founder Grant White are among those now facing a lawsuit from medical companies in Tennessee federal court accusing them of fraud over alleged promises made. Biden and the other defendants have denied any wrongdoing, but the plaintiffs last month reportedly said in a court filing that they were willing to drop their claims against White, who had provided exculpatory evidence as well as information that further implicated Biden and others.

Americore is also in bankruptcy court after financial woes that, Pritchard said, James Biden only made worse. In January, the FBI also raided an Americore hospital in Pennsylvania, one of a series of legal complications the company has faced. As noted by Politico, there's no indication the raid was linked to James Biden's actions and he has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing.

Drunk Woman Abandons Scooter, Crawls On Floor And Bites Security Guard At Bernie Rally
[DAILYCALLER] A woman was removed from an Arizona rally for Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being a socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
after she allegedly abandoned her motorized scooter, crawled across the floor and bit a security guard.

The woman, who was later identified as Judy Louise Schafer, is a 62-year-old resident of Mesa, AZ. She attended Thursday’s rally in Phoenix, and according to a report from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Schafer appeared to be "very drunk" at the time of the incident.

The local CBS affiliate reported:

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said Schafer seemed very drunk when she left her motorized scooter on the concourse level and started crawling on the floor at the rally. When the security guard asked her to get up, she bit him in the arm. After a DPS trooper asked her to get up, she refused and got combative. She went to the hospital and the security guard was treated.

Thursday’s rally, which came just over a week ahead of Arizona’s presidential primary, marked the Vermont senator’s first 2020 campaign appearance in that state. Sanders lost Arizona by a double-digit margin to former Secretary of State Crooked Hillary Clinton
...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away...
in 2016, and the state ultimately went to President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
in the general election.

Plame out
[American Thinker] The Plame campaign has been a champion fundraiser, surpassing its nearest rival by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Over 87% of her contributors are from out of state. No other candidate comes close to such a disproportionate share of out-of-state financial support. Despite her campaign war chest, the Plame campaign has apparently not received a single group endorsement. By contrast, another candidate, Teresa Leger Fernandez, has received endorsements from at least four groups.

The day of reckoning came on March 7, the day of the pre-primary convention. The convention delegates determine who shall appear on the Democrat ballot in New Mexico. To qualify, a candidate must receive at least 20% of the vote. Sadly for Ms. Plame, she received only 5.18% of the vote. Despite her substantial fundraising, her campaign apparently never really excited party insiders in New Mexico.
But she gets to keep whatever her campaign hasn’t spent, so that will be a nice little nest egg for her retirement.

#4  So she received-- what, a few hundred votes? How many $/vote does that make, ca. $1,000 per vote?

Even Bloomberg got a better ROI.

#5  do you get to keep campaign funds if you never were elected to office? Seems almost like a ticket for theft, there must be some standards regarding what a campaign must have and do for it to legal?

Sanders hires top campaign adviser -- the guy promotes abolition of prisons
[DailyCaller] Democratic 2020 candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders has hired Phillip Agnew as a campaign adviser, promoting an individual who supports the abolishment of prisons and has a history of making inflammatory comments.

The Sanders campaign announced on Saturday that Agnew — who was already serving as a top campaign surrogate — has been hired on as a senior adviser. Agnew notably works as a co-director for Dream Defenders, a far-left group that advocates for the abolishment of prisons and police, the end of capitalism, and supports open borders.

Formed in the aftermath of the shooting of Trayvon Martin, Dream Defenders advocates for a number of far-left proposals, particularly pertaining to issues that affect people of color.

The “Freedom Papers,” a manifesto published by the group, claims that police and prisons have no place in “justice.” The manifesto also denounced the country’s capitalist system, and claimed it was responsible for major wealth gaps. Dream Defenders has also advocated for open borders. “Can you imagine a border-free tomorrow? This is freedom of movement,” the group tweeted in June 2018.

Bill protecting Black hairstyles from discrimination passes Legislature, awaits Inslee’s signature
[SEATTLETIMES] A bill to prohibit discrimination in Washington based on hair texture, specifically targeting hairstyles traditionally worn by Black people, is awaiting the Gov. Jay Inslee’s signature.

House Bill 2602 would amend the Washington Law Against Discrimination (WLAD) so that race includes "traits historically associated or perceived to be associated with race," specifically citing hairstyles including Afros, braids, locs and twists. It passed the Legislature on March 4, with a Senate vote of 38-9.

On the Senate floor, Sen. Jamie Pedersen, D-Seattle, said that while WLAD prohibits racial discrimination, "we haven’t had any explanation of exactly what that means."

The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Melanie Morgan, D-Parkland, said the legislation is geared toward dismantling the racist idea that hairstyles traditionally worn by Black people are unprofessional, distracting or unkempt. Morgan was also partially inspired by recent events in which Black high school students have been told they need to change their hair in order to participate in graduation and other activities.

The legislation is now sent to the governor, where it is likely to be signed.

In public testimony for the bill, RaShelle David, representing Gov. Jay Inslee, said the bill aligned with the governor’s "strategic priorities" of diversity, equity and inclusion.

with all the enthusiasm of a hostage video

Biden responded moments later on Twitter, thanking the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Democrat.

"Kamala ‐ You’ve spent your whole career fighting for folks who’ve been written off and left behind ‐ and no small part of that alongside Beau," the candidate said. "From our family: thank you."

Sanders Promises To Ban State Regulation Of Abortion

has done through pro-life legislation, but also to ban Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws.

Come on, you could consolidate most of New England into one larger administrative subunit. Delaware and Maryland could be absorbed by a larger neighbor. And Wyoming, more Senators than representative is just ripe for division between its neighbors. Right? (/rhet question)

Congress Quietly Repeals More of Obamacare
[Reason] At the end of 2019, Congress repealed three significant tax components of the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare. Each of them had been included in the initial legislation to raise the revenue required to pay for the new spending the law called for.

The biggest of the three was the so-called Cadillac tax, which was expected to raise about $197 billion over the next decade. Congress also nixed the law's health insurance tax, projected to raise $150 billion over 10 years, and the medical device tax, projected to raise $25.5 billion. All three taxes were eliminated as part of a $1.4 trillion year-end budget bill that President Donald Trump signed at the last possible minute in order to keep the government open.
