[PJMedia] Have Portland’s Professional Protesters™ been smoked out? Since May 29th, Portland has been the back drop of more than 100 nights of antifa, anarchist and Black Lives Matter, Inc™ terroristic riots. They set fires, looted, and intimidated people by threatening to burn them alive in their homes.
But after the millions of dollars of destruction, criminality and thuggery it stopped last week. Poof!
I certainly don’t want to tempt these thugs, but it can’t go without saying that Portland’s 100 plus days of riots appeared to end after Wednesday, September 9th.
That was the last time the Portland Police Bureau warned about protests.
The usual live-streamers decamped to other riots and fires.
By September 10th, the overworked cops from Portland Police Bureau were offered out to assist other agencies. Suddenly, instead of being required to work the riots lines, they were free.
On September 7th to the morning of the 8th, the Pacific Northwest experienced a major "wind event." Winds gusted through Oregon and Washington at more than 60 miles per hour. Fires that had been allowed to crackle along, such as the Beachie fire, flared up. Power lines were downed. The fires kicked up.
And then came the reports. Clackamas County Sheriff’s officials reported that people had seen antifa protester types reportedly stashing gas cans, looting, and looking ridiculously out of place. They were taking pictures and giving locals grief for trying to keep them out of closed neighborhoods. Locals wondered if there was a connection between the fires and the sightings of these folks.
BLM was seen there. The original BLM, the Bureau of Land Management, not the group that borrowed the acronym.
And just as suddenly, such sightings and reports were dismissed as rumors and lies. Myriad law enforcement agencies begged people to stop sharing such stories, as I reported on PJMedia.
I reached out to the Portland Police Bureau for a comment on the lag in riots, but didn’t receive a reply before publication.
Riot-weary Oregonians aren’t necessarily mollified by the concerted effort to shut down these reports. Until last Wednesday night, they’d seen the antifa rioters and arsonists in action on the news every night in Portland. And now some of them swore they saw those people in Estacada, Sandy, Molalla and other parts of the burning Clackamas County.
Indeed, documents from the Department of Homeland Security show that whatever antifa rioters are doing, they’re doing in concert, organizing with other like-minded people.
The internal document leaked yesterday from the Department of Homeland Security reads:
According to this @DHSgov internal email, obtained @CBSNews, former Acting Under Secretary for Intelligence & Analysis Brian Murphy wrote colleagues on July 25th that the Portland violence was not "opportunistic" but "organized" citing "Anarchists or Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... "
"We can’t say any longer that this violent mostly peaceful situation is opportunistic. Additionally, we have overwhelmingly(sic) intelligence regarding the ideologies driving individuals toward violence + why the violence has continued.
A core set of Threat actors are organized and show up night after night, and share common TTPs (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures).. Threat actors who are motivated by Anarchists or ANTIFA (or a combination of both) ideologies to carry out acts of violence against State, Local and Federal authorities.."
They’re organized, share the same tactics and talk to each other. Why are they so quiet right now?
Oregonians might well wonder that these "threat actors" are doing their arsons in the tinder dry woodlands of the state instead of nearby downtown Portland.
The riots have stopped. Did they go to the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... or Lancaster, Pennsylvania to raise hell? Did they stop because of the smokey skies and air quality numbers that are off the charts? It seems unlikely that a group that spawned a murderer, multiple arsonists and police assaulters would be dissuaded by smoky quality air. Is it because the media are busy covering the wildfires and there’s nothing in rioting for the terrorists? Or is it because of something else?
It occurred to me the other day, that we have not had any mass shootings for quite awhile either. I wonder why that is?
That program was phased out after Trump took office.

I think #2, Nero, and #5, CrazyFool, are on the right track. Team Biden was worried the riots weren't polling well so they've stopped...just like that. It isn't proof positive that the riots are sponsored by Democrats but it is most certainly suspicious.
And now they get to blame the fires on "climate arsonist" Trump. Suspicious indeed.

The riots were not cheap, and that kind of money demands results. At some point the incremental benefit of each day of rioting did not justify the cost in dollars and damage to the program (i.e. arrests, exposing leadership and funding sources, etc.).
They've all headed east -- some of them stopped in Kenosha for a couple days, some may still be there thanks to carrying illegal fireworks and raising the suspicion of local citizens. The rest are going to DC for the White House "siege".

[Levin TV] Author Peter Schweizer joins Mark Levin to discuss Schweizer’s new documentary, "Riding the Dragon: The Bidens' Chinese Secrets." This eye-opening, jaw-dropping film digs deep into Joe and Hunter Biden’s illegal business dealings with China during Biden’s vice presidency. Tune in and discover the truth that the mainstream media would never report.
[NYPOST] The Team Trump-brokered peace deals that Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates will sign Tuesday won’t end the Middle East’s problems, but they’re big steps in that direction — exactly the opposite of what the left predicted about President Trump’s approach.
On Friday, Trump announced that Bahrain agreed to normalize ties with Israel, just a month after the United Arab Emirates did likewise. Kudos to those nations — and to the president.
Even the bitterly anti-Trump New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... admits this "leaves open the possibility" more Arab states will make peace.
Fact is, the Trump strategy broke through stale assumptions on the Paleostinian-Israeli front, moving past Paleostinian refusals to make peace and threats of violence.
Trump acknowledged Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, moved the US embassy there and recognized the Jewish state’s claim to the Golan. He also cut aid to Paleostinian Authority, which had turned hostile to Washington and refused to stop spending big on payments to snuffies and their survivors.
Democrats and foreign-policy hands blasted Trump for all that, assuring everyone it would trigger disaster. Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments... insisted the embassy move would "spark mass protests, fuel tensions and make it more difficult to reach a durable peace." Nine of 11 former US ambassadors to Israel called it "dangerous" or "deeply flawed," the Times reported. (Oops.)
Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Candidate for president in 2020. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing... still calls it a mistake (though one he wouldn’t undo). He also warned that Israel’s Trump-blessed plan to annex parts of the West Bank "would choke off any hope for peace." Ha! It turned out to be a key bargaining chip that Israel gave up for its UAE deal.
Some experts even think Paleostinians may now finally see the need to get on board.
Trump’s other Mideast moves, like taking out Iranian terror chief Gen. Qassem Soleimani , have drawn similarly dire warnings. Yet events keep proving that the critics have no idea what they’re talking about.
Nine of 11 former US ambassadors to Israel called it "dangerous" or "deeply flawed," the Times reported. (Oops.)
The same shitheads who thought it was a brilliant idea to reward Iran with pallets of billions of dollars in advance of doing nothing at all for peace.
Who brought us the Iraq war and 20 years of failure in Afghanistan.
Who destroyed middle America and built up China into a mortal threat.
We would have been better off had our foreign policy elite been made up of the first 1,000 names in any phone book in the US than to have these morons shitting all over our foreign policy as they've done for the last quarter century
Trump is 3-4 steps ahead of the left mentality. How else could he have accomplished so much these last few years. I say again more to come. The left live for the moment. One emotional event after another.
"Coffee Boy" makes good, shows 'experts' were incompetent:
Rather, the criticisms were about the unwillingness of the two men, publicly Jewish and proudly Zionist, to kowtow to the same tired experts who have made their careers pushing the same conventional wisdom that produced nothing but stalemate. The success of the youthful Berkowitz on a project where the so-called experts have met little success is all the more proof of the intellectual bankruptcy of the experts President Donald Trump has so often dismissed—in this case, rightly so.
The fundamental mistake of the peace process, and of the cadres of experts who have made that process into lifetime appointments to a revolving door of government, think tank, and academic jobs, is the idea that the solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict is peace between the Israelis and Palestinians.
But such a peace remains as far out of reach as it ever was. In the meantime, the Trump administration has secured a great victory in the ongoing quest for peace between Israel and its neighbors—the lack of which was and remains the true threat to global security and the true threat to American interests in the region.
[Babylon Bee] CNN and other media outlets attacked President Trump and foreign leaders this week after footage emerged of Israeli and Arab leaders standing closer than six feet apart and embracing in a peace accord, clearly violating COVID social distancing protocol. Pictures and footage show Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of UAE and Bahrain completely ignoring social distancing as they smile warmly and shake hands while signing historic peace accords between the three nations.
"This is simply beyond the pale," said CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta. "No one here is social distancing, no one is wearing masks. People are smiling and sitting next to each other. It's a bloodbath here. It's almost as if President Trump is trying to kill these Middle Eastern leaders. This man truly has no shame. Just when you thought this president couldn't stoop any lower, he defies expectations and goes lower. This is truly a day of national embarrassment for this country."
Many critics are questioning Trump's wisdom in trying to negotiate peace in the Middle East during a global pandemic since there are probably way more productive things he could be doing like defunding the police or imposing a national mask mandate. Others are worried that peace in the Middle East could be some sort of a white supremacist dog whistle. Republicans, on the other hand, are pouncing on the critics, most likely because they are soulless jerks who want people to die.
No one really knows what the peace deal means except that it may make Trump look good, which of course means it's bad.
Unfortunately, the ceremony erupted into chaos, and peace talks collapsed after an argument arose over the correct pronunciation of "gif."
