Catherine Herridge Highlights More Info in the IG Report That Doesn't Look Good For Comey and Others
[Red State] When investigative reporter Catherine Herridge moved from Fox News to CBS, many were concerned that her great reporting and incisive investigative efforts might be stifled.

Fortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

She’s quickly becoming known for her "highlighter reports" on Twitter. On the IG report she previously noted that yes, there were "confidential human sources" who were wired deployed against the Trump team.

In her latest series of tweets, she highlights several parts of the IG report that are problematic for former FBI Director James Comey as well as potentially for others.

Herridge points out how Comey told President Donald Trump the "FBI didn’t know if Steele allegations true," and "FBI not investigating them."

#1  Don't mean a thing if it ain't got that (orange jumpsuit) swing.

I couldn't care less whether our compromised and stupid, partisan press ever gets around to doing its job. All that matters now is whether Durham, and whatever impaneled juries he calls, do their jobs.

Richard Jewell Is More Than a Movie It Is a Powerful Political Metaphor
[Red State] I was also curious. Because the media and a lot of pro-FBI-screwing-with-private-citizens types were crying foul about the movie. One of the most insane attacks was by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, who held center stage in the public branding of Richard Jewell as an aspiring mass murderer, on the film in defense of the memory of their reporter Kathy Scruggs. Scruggs was the reporter who got the FBI leak that Jewell was the prime suspect. The film portrays this as a little quid pro quo action with Scruggs giving the FBI goober who gave her the tip the choice of getting a room or just doing her in her car. Because we know this never ever happens in real life, read the stories below:

#1  Sounds like Bobby and Clint took a few liberties with the facts re whether this woman actually "f---ed [a scoop] out of" her FBI source. For that matter, the movie's "Tom Shaw" character is a pastiche of IIUC several agents.

It's a great film - the actors are superb, the story astounding (and appalling) - but making the journalist into a slut (as opposed to merely a Rosalind Russell, 1930s-style fast-talkin' hard-drinkin' throwback to 1930s police beat newshound) was probably a mistake.

That said, this is a great film. One of the best of the year. Oscar-worthy.

#2  Richard Jewell is the one who got f**ked. All this whinging about a reporter's reputation misses the point of the story. An uncharitable person would suggest it was a way to deflect some well-deserved blame.

#3  Wellll, no brief here for sleazy journos but she reported that the FBI considered him a suspect. The AJC & Scruggs were indeed ruled not guilty in the libel trial brought by Lin Wood on behalf of Jewell.

The FBI bears the lions share of the blame here. I think the film went a bit too far against the (no longer living) woman. The slut scenes were gratuitous imo. YMMV.

#4  she reported that the FBI considered him a suspect.

Seems a bit leaky and unprofessional on the part of the FBI. Hey, haven't we seen that play recently?

#5  Yeah, deja by.

The scenes in which the FBI agents try to entrap Jewell by pretending he's recording a "training video" were chilling.

#7  An earlier "political metaphor" needed perhaps ?

The entitlement manned US Postal Service had been victimized. Something must be done! This evil Hatfill person just had to be the 2001 Anthrax killer (Amerithrax from its FBI case name). Just look at his evil, racist, apartheid supporting background. He simply had to be...., but he fok'n WASN'T.

Wiki - In 1978, Hatfill settled in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and entered the Godfrey Huggins Medical School[13] at the University of Rhodesia in Salisbury (now Harare). (His claimed military associations during this period included assistance as a medic with the Selous Scouts and membership in the Rhodesian SAS, but according to one journalist[14] the regimental association of the latter is "adamant Hatfill never belonged to the unit".) He graduated (after failing in 1983) with a M ChB degree in 1984 and then completed a one-year internship (1984–85) at a small rural hospital in South Africa's North West Province. The South African government recruited him to be medical officer on a 14 month (1986–88) tour of duty in Antarctica with the South African National Antarctic Expedition (SANAE). He then completed (1988) a master's degree in microbiology at the University of Cape Town. He worked toward a second master's (1990; medical biochemistry and radiation biology) at the University of Stellenbosch, while working again as a paid med tech in the University's clinical hematology lab. A 3-year hematological pathology residency (1991–93) at Stellenbosch followed, during which time Hatfill conducted research on the treatment of leukemia with thalidomide.[14] This research, toward an anticipated PhD degree, was conducted (1992–95) under the supervision of Professor Ralph Kirby at Rhodes University.

A Nation ‘Led by Paramilitary Cartels' Is at Our Southern Border
[Breitbart] Conservative columnist Ann Coulter and Breitbart Border and Cartel Chronicles Director Brandon Darby spoke on an immigration panel moderated by OANN host Jack Posobiec at Turning Point USA’s fifth annual Student Action Summit.

In West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday, the three discussed the various factors involving the crisis on the southern border of the United States.

"I think what people in Washington, New York, L.A., and San Francisco don’t understand is how the country is being so slammed with drugs," said Coulter. "Ordinary, sweet little towns out in rural America ‐ in fact, I think a lot of the people in L.A., San Francisco, New York, and Washington are happy to know that Americans out in the middle of the country are dying off of overdoses."

Coulter added that 90 percent of the drugs coming into the U.S. are coming from the cartels operating south of the unsecured U.S. border.

"This is what Mexico does all the time ‐ and the U.S. State Department does this all the time," added Darby. "They’re like, ’Look, we caught this cartel boss.'"

"The cartel boss is part of the problem, but the cartel boss is not the problem," he explained.

Supreme Court Justice Roberts will tap his inner umpire in impeachment trial
WASHINGTON (AP) ‐ America’s last prolonged look at Chief Justice John Roberts came 14 years ago, when he told senators during his Supreme Court confirmation hearing that judges should be like baseball umpires, impartially calling balls and strikes.

"Nobody ever went to a ballgame to see the umpire," Roberts said.

His hair grayer, the 64-year-old Roberts will return to the public eye as he makes the short trip from the Supreme Court to the Senate to preside over President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial. He will be in the national spotlight, but will strive to be like that umpire ‐ doing his best to avoid the partisan mire.

"He’s going to look the part, he’s going to play the part and he’s the last person who wants the part," said Carter Phillips, who has argued 88 Supreme Court cases, 43 of them in front of Roberts.

He has a ready model he can follow: Chief Justice William Rehnquist, who never became the center of attention when he presided over President Bill Clinton’s Senate trial.

As Roberts moves from the camera-free, relative anonymity of the Supreme Court to the glare of television lights in the Senate, he will have the chance to demonstrate by example what he has preached relentlessly in recent years: Judges are not politicians.

#1  No trial is necessary.

It's a Shitshow with utterly no standing and must be dismissed forthwith by the Senate on a procedural motion.

Get to it, Mitch.

Michelle Wolf: Abortion Made Me Feel Like God
[Moonbattery] Much of the Left’s intellectual firepower comes from comedians. They are responsible for issuing marching orders and talking points to rank and file moonbats whose flabby minds can’t focus on grownup programming like news. Jon Stewart perfected the tactic of spewing pure moonbattery, they ducking behind the "Hey, I’m just a comedian" defense when called out on the irresponsibility not to mention idiocy of his political propaganda. Speaking through professional clowns allows the liberal establishment to tell us what it really feels. For example, comedienne Michelle Wolf reveals that abortion is a sacrament to progressives because snuffing out an innocent life makes them feel like God.

NewsBusters reports on her recent Netflix (of course) comedy special Joke Show.

After earning rounds of applause from her degenerate audience by proclaiming that women should be able to get abortions "for any reason you want" and that ending your own child’s life does not have to be "a big deal"...
Wolf further tried to destigmatize the baby-killing, saying that her own abortion wasn’t a big deal for her and lamenting that women "feel like you should have this sense of shame after you get an abortion." To that she claimed, "you can feel any way you want after an abortion. Get one! See how you feel."

Sincere advice or a depraved attempt at humor? You can take it either way. That’s the point of preaching politics within the context of standup comedy.
Teeing up the big line, however, Wolf asked, "You know how my abortion made me feel? Very powerful." Still it wasn’t over: "You know how people say you can’t play God?" She followed it with a heavy cringe-inducing quip.

"I walked out of there being like, ’Move over Morgan Freeman, I am God!’" Wolf quipped, referencing the actor famous for playing God in Bruce Almighty.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Michelle Wolf pass off abortion advocacy as tasteless comedy. From last year:

The Destructiveness of the Liberal Child Mind
[American Thinker] - One of the very many reasons I would never vote Left (Democrat) is because of the child-like view of the world embraced by those with this ideology. Children, or adults with childish notions, running the world are a recipe for disaster. Would any adult with his head even modestly screwed on really want to have a world run by the likes of this disturbed teenager, Greta ‐ the leftist Time Magazine's person of the year?

This is particularly true in the economic part of our world ‐ a world that deeply impacts each of our lives, every day of the year. This childishness begins with their utterly naïve belief that government workers and politicians are basically competent, kind, and compassionate, hence deserving great power over each of us. It sweeps across their foolish and destructive open borders policies, their twisted view that American history does not live up to a utopian view of life, the preposterous notion that a boy or girl in the womb is not a living human being, their cosmically foolish calls to end fossil fuel use, and their suicidal notion that disarming the good guy will help smite evil.

This is why the normative Left calls for giving the vote to our clueless 15- and 16-year-olds like Greta. They see these young tabula rasa kids as not very different from their 50-year-old unwise selves. They are children in their views of every topic, particularly regarding creating wealth, money, investments, and business. "Soak the rich," they say. "Free stuff for the masses." "Down with disgusting capitalism and profit." "Redistribute income" (never distributed in the first place). It's why, frighteningly, a large percent of Americans now embrace socialism or communism.
