Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters Standoff
The fact that those occupying the federal building are being labeled as seditionists and insurrectionists should be a badge of honor, whether those doing the occupying deserve it or not. The writer at Esquire forgets (or never understood) America’s rich relationship with sedition. We began that way, we will live that way, we will embrace change when the threshold has been crossed.

If you have no threshold, like the writer at Esquire, you believe that if the government says to kill every person named David who is born on the third Thursday of every month as a sacrifice to Molech, then it should be done and enforced by the power of the state. There is no difference between you and a Nazi or Fascist or their rightful heirs, Margaret Sanger and the eugenicists and abortionists.

We are where we are. This won’t go away, this will continue until one party backs down, the *.gov, or the people. It may occur by preemptive surrender, but I seriously doubt it. That means that at some point, whether this is it or just one more skirmish, it will all come to a head. The *.gov is playing with fire, even if it doesn’t know it.

#1  One wonders if the Feds will end this standoff they way they did Ruby Ridge & Waco, or if they will be more patient & just wait them out.
Posted by: Glenmore || 01/05/2016 9:55 Comments || Top||

#2  It's not Waco or Ruby Ridge. They are trespassing on Federal property. Tell them to leave immediately, or place them under arrest.

A few Quad .50 warning shots into the parking lot from 1500 meters should bring them around. Walking home might be an effective deterrent.

Posted by: Besoeker || 01/05/2016 10:03 Comments || Top||

#3  The easiest and most effective thing is to ignore them. There aren't any police near the area, the "occupiers" are coming and going at will. The only thing keeping this alive is the stupid fucking MSM.

The Obama appointee at the heart of the Oregon stand off
A lot of inside baseball stuff about an Obama appointee to a US attorney position because Obama wanted a woman in charge. Spoiler alert: Zipper failure caused her to step down.
[Conservative Treehouse] The media are focused on the “Bundy Militia” angle to the standoff in Burns Oregon, where Aamon Bundy and brothers have taken over a Malheur Wildlife Refuge Headquarters to draw attention to the plight of the Hammond family.

However, a little research (HatTip NeverTooLate) into the original legal battle reveals a rather startling update.

The initial, and regarded by many as overreaching, federal prosecution resulted in a federal court judge Michael Hogan assigning a 3-month sentence and 1-year sentence for Dwight Lincoln Hammond Jr (73) and his son, Steven Dwight Hammond (46) respectively.

Even federal Judge Hogan stated the prosecution under “terrorism statutes” itself was an overreach and he refused to assign ridiculously high sentences for behavior that almost every rancher has conducted for generations.

Those sentences were fulfilled by the father an son duo in 2013 with Steven Hammond exiting prison in January 2014. However, it was a decision by the U.S Attorney for the State of Oregon, Amanda Marshall, who called for an appeal to the original sentencing:

#1  If the Federal Government put people in prison for land management after that EPA spill, I see absolutely no reason. Right cause, wrong people to deliver the message.

Commute the "Arsonist" sentence, ask the occupiers if they plan to pay for all the management of the whole properties they want to re-claim from the government, and then charge the bundy faction with improper use of a weight room.

Send it home.

Drop it now, walk away. The "teaching point" has been made.

#2  How do you appeal a sentence? Sounds like double-jeopardy to me.

#3  Bundy and his friends might do better raising funds for an appeal.

"Gun Control’s" Nazi Connection
[JPFO.org] This original article appeared in Guns and Ammo Magazine May 1993

Are you tired of being told that "gun control" is a chronic pain that you have to accept because there's no cure? Do you -- a law abiding person -- want to be free: to own whichever firearms you want to own, regardless of where in America you live; from waiting periods, gun bans, magazine capacity restrictions, etc.; to spend your time on the range or in the field, rather than fighting "gun control"?

Are you tired of giving hard earned bucks to efforts that have at best only slowed the gun grabbers' push toward firearms registration and confiscation? If you have had enough of death by a thousand cuts, you are ready to take action to wipe out "gun control" -- now.

Members of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO) consider "gun control" to be an aggressive cancer. JPFO has a cure, a way to destroy "gun control". JPFO has hard evidence that shows that the Nazi Weapons Law (March 18, 1938) is the source of the U.S Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA ’68). Adolph Hitler signed the Nazi Weapons Law. The Gestapo (Nazi National Secret Police) enforced it. In "Gun Control": Gateway to Tyranny we present the official German text of the Nazi Weapons Law and a side-by-side translation into English. Even more deadly: a side-by-side, section-by-section comparison of the GCA ’68 with the Nazi Weapons Law. If you have this in your hands, no one can tell you that you're imagining things.

The clincher: JPFO knows who implanted into American law cancerous ideas from the Nazi Weapons Law.

The likely culprit is a former senator, now deceased. We have documentary proof -- see below -- that he had the original text of the Nazi Weapons Law in his possession 4 months before the bill that became GCA ’68 was signed into law.

This former senator was a senior member of the U.S. team that helped to prosecute Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg, Germany, in 1945-46. That is probably where he found out about the Nazi Weapons Law. He may have gotten a copy of it then, or at a later date. We cannot imagine why any U.S. lawmaker would own original texts of Nazi laws. To find out his name, read on.

With this hard evidence in your hands and in your head, you can destroy cancerous "gun control". You can challenge anyone who backs "gun control". You can show them the Nazi ideas, line by line.

The parallels between the Nazi law and GCA ’68 will leap at you from the page. For example, law abiding firearm owners in Illinois, Massachusetts and New Jersey must carry identification cards based on formats from the Nazi Weapons Law. Nazi based laws have no place in America. Thousands of Americans died or were wounded in the war to wipe out the Nazis. They did not suffer or die so that Hitler's ideas could live on in America and kill more Americans. Remember Killeen, Texas! The 23 who died in Luby's Cafeteria there died because they obeyed Nazi inspired "gun control" laws. The law forced them, unarmed, to face an armed madman.

To destroy "gun control" before more law abiding Americans are murdered by criminals or madmen helped by "gun control", you need to get hold of the evidence as presented in "Gun Control": Gateway to Tyranny. You can then challenge the media, the most aggressive backers of "gun control". Ask media personalities in your city or town why they back Nazi based laws. You can help to erase "gun control", Hitler's last legacy.

Totten - The Saudi-Iranian Eruption
Posted by: newc || 01/05/2016 00:00 || Comments || Link || [0 views] Top|| File under:

#1  Mr. Totten is always worth reading. I disagree with this bit, though:

Their absolute monarchy isn’t drastically different from the ISIS “caliphate” in Syria and Iraq except that Riyadh plays well with others diplomatically and pushes back hard against Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood.

It seems to me that House of Saud pushes back hard against Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood -- and now ISIS -- at home, while financing ISIS and Al Qaeda, among many others, abroad. And Arabia's sons are still flowing abroad in significant numbers to partake in jihad that is forbidden at home.

By cutting ties with Iran, Saudi Arabia executed the 48th terrorist
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] It was as if Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
executed yet another terrorist when Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir announced the severing of ties with Iran last night.

In fact, one could argue that the Iranian regime resembles the single biggest terrorist threat, not just to Saudi Arabia and the region, but to global security as well.

Iran -- in a typical manner -- pretended that it was trying to prevent protesters from attacking and setting fire to the Saudi embassy in Tehran, but in reality it did not prevent them (it wouldn't be surprising, or a first, if it turns out that it actually encouraged them as well).

Iran also criticized the execution of convicted hate preacher Nimr al-Nimr, who had been described by Saudi authorities as an "instigator of sedition" and was found guilty of seeking "foreign meddling" in the kingdom, among other charges. Through its media and various mouthpieces, Iran made the issue appear sectarian -- because Saudi Arabia is a Sunni state and Nimr was Shiite. Conveniently, Iranian officials avoided mentioning the fact that only 3 of the 47 executed forces of Evil were Shiite.

#1  the US, UK and Australia should cut all ties with Saudi Arabia and Iran

As theocratic dictatorships (one with a crust of sleazy royals) we have nothing in common with either of them.

we should not sell them weapons

we should not buy their oil

We should send their embassy staff home in a row boat

we should ban their funding of mosques, schools, educational institutions, think tanks, university departments or anything at all. Block and confiscate all their moneys.

If we were serious about winning the war on terror that is a start

backed up by the declaration of war on the Caliphate (not IS, the Caliphate) and the banning of sharia.

All who support sharia should be locked up for treason or - if dual citizens - deported and stripped of Western citizenship.

Posted by: Ebbang Uluque6305 || 01/05/2016 16:09 Comments || Top||

#4  yes grom we should not sell them sheep

you know they are demanding all food imports be halal certified

which means certification on your and my food also

certification means paying money to a certification organisation that uses it to fund mosques and religious schools

it also means the exported food must be prepared with islamic rituals - eg boxed beef must be slaughtered by muslim only men

the cows must have their throats cut and bleed to death while Islamic prayers are said over it

there is no separation of domestic from export meat

so when you eat that meat you participate in muslim faith rituals and pay to spread their belief systems

so yes we should cut all trade with them until they drop that requirement. let them starve or get it from other islamic nations

It is not just Saudi either. indonesia has made this a legal requirement on all food, pharma and cosmetics

India-Pakistan
Rape probe
[DAWN] THE alleged gang rape of a young girl, reported to be a minor, in Lahore in late December has drawn the usual -- and for some still the most shocking -- reactions. In more recent days, a relative of the victim claimed that the girl had attempted suicide because of the pressures that she had come under during the police investigation of her complaint. On the other hand, lawyers of the accused -- who include a man said to have held office in the PML-N youth wing -- have called for a fair trial. There have been some reports doing the rounds in the media that either do not tally with the facts confirmed by police or that are one-sided. Apparently, some of the stories in the media amount to an attempt at influencing the probe. We are, sadly, once more hearing painful remarks about how the powerful can -- and will -- escape the clutches of the law. One again we are witnessing society's tendency of subjecting a rape complainant to the cruellest of inquiries. These are genuine concerns and cry out for the imposition of the unwritten code dictated by a most basic principle: respect for human dignity.

This critique of the role of the media, of the influential politicians trying to absolve their party of blame, and of society in general has drawn the usual round of vows about the dire need for corrective measures. But the danger is that all these promises of restraint are going to lose out to a hard-to-suppress urge to protect, report and comment. There is as yet not sufficient evidence around to inspire hope that the demands for fairness by all parties will not go unheeded. There is surely a need for civil society to counter the urge to resort to the sensational through debate and popular censure. The government still has a bigger role. This is as good a time as any for the government to display its commitment to investigate without fear or favour.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Jordan's Muslim Brotherhood has become one big mess
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] It would be no exaggeration to say that Jordan's Moslem Brüderbund is perishing. Given the widening cracks within the long-established group, which led to hundreds of leaders recently submitting their mass resignation, the kingdom's Islamist movement is now as fragmented and weak as leftist powers. In other words, the dispute-plagued movement is no longer Jordan's largest opposition force.

Over the past year, the Moslem Brüderbund's prominent leaders have been jumping overboard, mostly for being fed up with the totalitarian attitude of the group's 'hawkish' leadership. Last week's mass resignation of 400 leaders and founding members of the Islamic Action Front
...Jordan's branch of the Moslem Brüderbund...
(IAF), the Moslem Brüderbund's political arm, was the most recent manifestation of fierce disputes within the group which, for decades, was well-known for being in harmony and having a solid structure.

One of the Islamist leaders whose membership in the Brotherhood was previously terminated by an internal tribunal, professor and columnist Rheil al-Gharaibeh, has founded Zamzam,
...named after Zamzam Cola, possibly no longer to be the soft drink of the Hajj?
a reform-oriented initiative which has been gaining ground and attracting conservative statesmen who long-opposed the Islamist movement. Zamzam is now a licensed body in Jordan with moderate socio-political tendencies and is highly expected to participate in the upcoming parliamentary election, expected in January 2017. This will definitely strike a big blow to the Brotherhood's trend of boycotting elections.

Cruz Refuses To Support Ethanol Subsidy: Washington Shouldn't '€˜Pick Winners And Losers'
[Breitbart] BOONE, IOWA -- Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) says that he does support ethanol, but doesn't support the government subsidizing it.

Cruz kicked off his six-day bus tour across Iowa and received questions at his first event about his opposition to the the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), an ethanol subsidy that many Iowan farmers depend on.

"I very strongly support corn and farmers and ethanol, but I don't think Washington should pick winners and losers" Cruz said after a supporter asked him to clarify his stance.

"I think what we need to do, instead of having a government mandated subsidy, we ought to do is remove the government barriers so that ethanol can end up having a larger share of the market through competition rather than through government putting mandates in place," Cruz added.

According to a report from Politico, supporters of the Renewable Fuel Standard are buying newspaper, radio and digital ads to attack Cruz on the issue in Iowa. Another group, Iowa Progress Project, has spent $200,000 airing anti-Cruz ads.

Cruz has overtaken Trump in the polls in Iowa, with 40 percent of likely Republican Iowa Caucus voters saying they plan on voting for Cruz.

I've read that a great many cows died in Texas in the sudden weather they had after Christmas, just as the herds out west are recovering after the drought. The price of beef may wait a bit before coming down significantly.

#5  A friend with a multi-fuel (switchable) car did a test from F-85 through to non-ethanol.

Results = mileage mapped the quantity of pure gasoline. The alcohol bought close to nothing in fuel value to the car. It may have been a fault of the car and yes the car was imported but not a VW. That said zero is zero.

Some people worries about wasting corn on Ethanol, me? I worry about wasting Ethanol on engines.
