[FOX] A female U.S. Army officer on Thursday became the second suspect arrested this week in connection with the death of an Army captain at Fort Bliss in Texas, according to reports.
Authorities identified the officer as Clevy Muchette Nelson-Royster, 27, who was assigned to the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, which is located about seven miles from downtown El Paso.
They said Nelson-Royster was a passenger inside a Jeep Cherokee vehicle that she owned that repeatedly rammed another vehicle early Sunday until the second vehicle rolled over and burst into flames, resulting in the occupant’s death.

More from the article — this is definitely Lurid Crime material:
“I am going to die,” the victim, identified as Army Capt. Malcolm Xavier Perry, 27, had told a 911 dispatcher while being pursued by the Jeep, FOX 14 of El Paso reported.
Nelson-Royster told authorities that she and Perry had had an on-and-off relationship for about five years, the report said.
The Jeep was being driven by a male suspect who was arrested Tuesday after having fled the crime scene, the station reported. That suspect was identified as Richard Mustapha Sennessie, 23, according to an affidavit.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven. When the Captain got to his residence he was engaged by others? Clevy Muchette Nelson-Royster? Richard Mustapha Sennessie? What the hell is going on at Fort Bliss?
#3
Remind me, please -- where does our strength come from? Off the pile, for Muchette...
Was ever a proverb as weighty
As Farmer's? I'm sorry, dear lady,
But as far as you flee
Over mountains and sea,
All there ever may be... is more Haiti.

...The Boeing/MDD 'merger' was so badly botched by Boeing that MDD people - who had already screwed up one of the great names in aviation - ended up taking over the new company. Since then, Boeing's primary aim has not been the manufacture of the best possible airframes for its customers, but the maximization of profits and bonuses for the leadership.
This isn't going to end well - Boeing may not be able to pull out of the spin; the move to Charleston will buy them some time, but not a lot. They won't be allowed to fail as they make far too much for the DOD (#2 defense contractor last year) but perhaps this once, somebody should insist that the military side of the house be spun off into a separate company and the airliner side be allowed to sink or swim on its own.
Remember the old saying - perhaps your purpose in life is to be an object lesson to others.

Mike, that's slander. The Boeing Mesa site trashed most, if not all of the MD quality processes. Having worked for both, and I walk the production line daily, I have to tell you that Boeings quality at Boeing Mesa is pretty good. It has the same issues as the rest of the industry. This quality issue was tantamount to sabotage by neglect. Boeing discovered it, self disclosed it, and legal actions are being perused. The Apache is one of the safest rotary wing aircraft in DOD.

49Pan,
Sir, you have personal knowledge of what happened, then I sincerely apologize to you and your coworkers. If you tell me that this was self-discovered/disclosed and corrected, that is good enough for me and is enough to make me rethink my opinion of Boeing.

Mike, My apologies for coming on so strong. I sit and watch a propaganda attack on Boeing and I cringe. I did not mean to hammer you. Sorry.
So the 737 has some history here as well. The MAX has engines that will take the aircraft off at max gross weight with just one engine. This creates a thrust vector issue on take off. The engineers can explain water line and thrust vectors better than me. The flight control system is complex, its a graduate level aircraft and the system is rather new in design and philosophy, automated system over rides control management. When there is an error in the automated system, the emergency procedure is to shut it off and leave it off. A two button process. In both crashes the crew cycled the switches, IE shut it off and turned them back on during recovery. With the system faults, the automated system does not knw where it is, and the problem is exacerbated. Thus making it incontrollable to recover.
The second crew had a pilot in the cabin that had less than 200 hours total time as a pilot. He's not qualified to fly a Cessna let alone a complex jet liner.
The crash investigation was managed by EASA, the EU version of the FAA. They did not include Boeing or the FAA in the investigation, first time in history a ruling body excludes the OEM or FAA. EASA sent the flight data recorder to EADS for analysis, not Boeing or the FAA. EADS owns the Airbus, the 737 MAX's only competitor. All of Boeings proprietary flight control data was compromised.
A couple of small facts here. A year before the accident, at the Dubai air show, the orders for Airbus aircraft were cancelled and given to the 737MAX, thus closing the Airbus line. EADS, and Airbus are owned by the EU, the governing body is EASA. No ethical issue here.
The EU is playing this crash against Boeing for business purposes. The fixes that they have forced in are not all that great. the instrumentation, what the pilot sees, and the automated systems are now tied to each other. One fails, they both fail. Not an issue if the weather is VFR. Not good if they are in the clouds. The carriers know this, Alaska just announce they are pure fleeting their fleet with Boeing, as did Southwest. There is always more to it.
The details around the Boeing Mesa issue will come out after they prosecute the individual.
Again Mike, my apologies sir.

Zimbabwe's Ruling Party Says It Will Not Accept Rights Lecture From 'Slave Trade America'
[MAIL] A South African town was bracing for racial violence today as black protesters armed with golf clubs and cricket bats faced off with white farmers in pick-up trucks outside a court where two black men are accused of killing a farmer.
The killing of Brendin Horner has led to riots in the town of Senekal where white protesters stormed the courthouse, fired shots and set fire to a police car last week.
Today, hundreds of black protesters linked to the Economic Freedom Fighters movement - which supports redistributing land from white people - gathered outside the courthouse with some hurling rocks despite efforts to keep calm.
The black protesters were brandishing golf clubs, hockey sticks and cricket bats ahead of the two murder suspects' second court appearance today.
The farmers, who accuse the government of failing to protect them from violent crime, arrived in pick-up trucks with some in military outfits and others waving 'Boer Lives Matter' banners at today's stand-off.
I get the cricket bats, golf clubs sounds worthless well ok then, but for some reason the hockey sticks cracks me up. Something about a scene in Zulu with hockey sticks and thick black glasses instead of the assegai.

Original mortality (total deaths/total 'cases') estimate was 3.2%. World to-date is 2.8%, US is 2.7%, NY is 6.4% and TX is 2.0%. Deaths are highly skewed towards the elderly. I think it is clear this is a disease to avoid, but it is not clear to me how effective various measures like masks and lockdowns are - and they are not without their own costs, both economic and health. (One could even say they sacrifice the essential people to protect the effete.)

Case mortality is FAKE NUMBERS. Stop it! 35 is misleading and unreal. Try Infection Mortality Rate. Its less than 0.03% in otherwise healthy people under the age of 65.
[LiveLeak] A North Korean patrol boat recently fired live rounds at a Chinese boat illegally fishing in North Korean waters, leading to multiple deaths, Daily NK has learned.
"On Oct. 11, a North Korean patrol boat opened fire on a Chinese boat that was fishing illegally in North Korean waters," a China-based source told Daily NK on Friday. "five Chinese fishermen were killed in the incident."
Chinese vessels usually work in groups, and on this occasion there were around 10 boats fishing together when one was followed by the North Korean patrol and fired upon.

[FoxNews] With the 2020 presidential election less than a few weeks away -- encumbered yet again by questions and concerns surrounding ballot security and fraud -- revolutionary blockchain voting technology is being piloted in small pockets of the country.
And Tuesday marked the first time a vote has ever been cast for a U.S. president in the general election using such an app on a personal mobile phone, Fox News has learned exclusively.
“This is a historic day not only for ballot integrity and election systems but for liberty and the republic itself,” Josh Daniels, a Utah resident, told Fox News in a statement.
His vote went to former “Mighty Ducks” child actor turned cryptocurrency entrepreneur turned 2020 independent candidate Brock Pierce.
“In true pioneer spirit, Utah County is honored to be the first place where a Blockchain vote was cast in a presidential general election,” said Utah County Clerk Amelia Powers Gardner, who implemented the “Voatz” platform as both a security and cost-cutting measure 20 months ago. “We are proud to lead our state and the nation on this innovative and cutting edge technology.”
Gardner, who has been using the system for five elections, says it is “one of the most cost-effective initiatives" that her office has undertaken since she was elected 20 months ago.
[FoxNews] As lawmakers on Capitol Hill squabble over the terms of an additional coronavirus relief package, new research shows that there are more Americans claiming unemployment benefits than are actually unemployed.
That scenario is highly unlikely, researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis wrote in a blog post this week, but has become possible because of new measures that loosened requirements to collect benefits implemented as part of the CARES Act.
“The specifics of the CARES Act allow people to receive benefits so that they do not have to report to work if their health conditions make it too dangerous,” researchers wrote in a blog post. “In such cases, the beneficiary is not technically unemployed, as there is no active job search going on. But benefits are still received through the unemployment insurance program of the person’s respective state.”
According to data from the St. Louis Fed, as of September about 12.5 million people were unemployed while around 13.5 million were making claims.
A chart shows this has largely been the case since April.
The CARES Act provided for an additional $600 per person in unemployment benefits – on top of what is typically provided by individual states – to help individuals weather the financial effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
That policy expired in July.
Many states have also run through a $300 weekly unemployment payment authorized by the Trump administration in August.
The U.S. economy lost a massive 22 million jobs at the outset of the pandemic – a little over half of which have been recovered so far.
The unemployment rate in September fell to 7.9% as the U.S. economy added 661,000 jobs, but the number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits last week increased by the largest amount in two months, to 898,000.

[Sultan Knish] Black Lives Matter 757, a Virginia ally of the national racist hate group, has spent four months trying to send a black man to jail.
Even though the racist organization had demanded the dismantling of the Virginia Beach Police and its judicial system, it had dedicated its Shut Down the Oceanfront 2.0 rally on Independence Day to demanding that the police, whom they wanted to eliminate, arrest Manny Wilder.
“We are calling for Hampton Police & Virginia Beach Police to get this menace off of the streets IMMEDIATELY!” the hate group had posted.
The lines of Black Lives Matter radicals, most of them white, crowded the street demanding that the police arrest and put away a black man.
Manny was one of many drivers to be caught in the tide of Black Lives Matter violence. And, like many of those drivers, he made a run for it, past the racist mob that was coming after him.
“I was creeping forward. I wasn’t going to stop because we were under attack. I mean look at my arm. We were getting attacked. They literally knocked my dog out. They hit my fiancé with a bottle as she was riding in the back of the pickup," he told a reporter a day after the attack.
Even though video showed Manny being attacked by one of the Black Lives Matter rioters and photos showed that his arm was bloodied and his truck battered, none of the BLMers were busted. Instead the authorities came after the “white male” who had confronted them.
Black Lives Matter 757’s leader claimed that Manny had been “yelling racial slurs”. Media accounts falsely described Wilder as a “white male”. There was just one problem.
Manny’s mother is black and his father is Mexican.
The media had assumed that Manny was a white male because his truck was flying American flags. Who, except a white racist, the media concluded, would have American flags on his truck? Anyone flying the flag and getting into a fight with Black Lives Matter must be a white male.
And four months later, most media accounts still haven’t acknowledged who Manny is.
The Virginia resident is not the first black driver to end up in a confrontation with Black Lives Matter thugs. In the worst incident to date, Secoriea Turner, an 8-year-old black girl, was shot and killed at the Black Lives Matter protest for Rayshard Brooks in Atlanta while her mother was trying to make a U-turn around the barricades erected by the violent racist hate group.
The alleged gunman’s lawyer claimed that he was protesting “peacefully.”
But at least Secoriea was safely out of it and couldn’t be arrested for interfering with a Black Lives Matter riot. The same was not true for Manny or other black drivers similarly arrested trying to escape the illegal roadblocks and violent assaults of the racist hate group.
Manny’s story is a familiar one. He tried to evade the Black Lives Matter bigots, came to a stop when one of them blocked his vehicle, was assaulted, and then did his best to escape. The hate group accused the black man of shouting racial slurs at them and trying to run them over. The media echoed the BLM narrative, falsely claiming that the hate group members barely survived.
The familiar narrative became, “Driver runs into crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters”.
And Manny, who is black, was turned into a white male who shouted racial slurs at the rioters.
“Of course people are going to get upset. This is a protest. It is very clear what we are doing. You shouldn’t even been on the street, which you were,” a Black Lives Matter 757 organizer ranted.
Instead of staying to face the lynch mob, Manny got out of Virginia Beach, was tracked down and arrested in Florida, before being sent back to the local authorities and the BLM lynch mob. He was only arrested in Florida because he “fit the description of the person they were looking for, but he ended up not being the suspect”. The irony of the profiling should be obvious.
Manny’s back in Virginia Beach now and faces a biased system aimed at lynching him.
“I was flying the American flags. Everyone wants to stand for what they represent, ” Manny had told a reporter. “I represent patriotism. I stand for the unity of one. I support Black Lives Matter, but I do not support the violence.”
Yet another BLM supporter gets it in the teeth. Kyle Rittenhouse also supported the idea of BLM before they hunted him down.

I noted by their terms, a person 50% Black and 50% Hispanic becomes instantly WHITE. If you carry and Display an America Flag and/or don't hate America
Normally I would blame these Millenniums for being flat a$$ mentally confused. But lately I have been leaning more to the SOURCE of the problem.

Shivers said that in addition to its usual election monitoring activities, the FBI is establishing a national command post specifically to address potential civil unrest.
Such as people voting for Trump.
The webinar was hosted specifically for the hundreds of Jewish institutions — like synagogues, schools, or community centers — that either serve as polling places or are located near them. Less than three weeks from election day, federal and state officials have been warning of a rising tide of extremism that could crest into a wave of violence, especially if there’s an ambiguous result or if the preferred candidate of right-wing extremist groups, President Donald Trump, appears to be losing.
#2
"We have not identified any specific threats relative to domestic violent extremists or international terrorist organizations,” said Calvin Shivers, assistant director of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division. But he added, “The nation remains poised for potential volatility, in regard to not only the election but I think just a lot of things that are going on in the country.”
What horseshit.
"Just a lot of things going on" means we know the threat is entirely from BLM and Antifa and other Democrat groups, but we're going to pretend that it's entirely from the right instead.

I thought you were being snarky there AO2223 but that is just about exactly what the article is saying. It goes just short of suggesting that the introduction of Captain Marvel to the big screen saved lives by encouraging people to stay in their bedrooms and watching movies because grrrl magic.
And its all non-sequitur. Infection rates are the same, but the death rate for women is better because they cough into their elbows? I mean WTF if you already have it how does coughing into your elbow increase your survival rate?

Fixed.
But wait -- I thought gender was just a construct.
Are men who ID as women also less likely to get ill?
How about if we all just ID as women for the duration of the emergency, and just get out there and do whatever we want becuz magic imaginary ladyparts will protect us anyway?
[TheDrive] A cost-cutting effort years ago left the DDG-1000 destroyers with degraded capabilities and a one-off combat system, but that could be changing.
The U.S. Navy is in the process of exploring options to replace Raytheon's AN/SPY-3 radar on its three still not yet operational Zumwalt class destroyers. The only option we know definitively to be under consideration is a variant of the Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar, or EASR, but the Navy has indicated that there are others. EASR is another Raytheon product that is already slated to go onto a number of the service's new ships, including all future Ford class aircraft carriers from CVN-79 on and the forthcoming Constellation class frigates, previously known as FFG(X). Combined with the stealthy destroyers' other advanced and largely unique combat systems, a new, more powerful radar could significantly expand their capabilities, which were grossly watered-down years ago as part of cost-cutting efforts.
A spokesperson for Naval Sea Systems Command confirmed to The War Zone that "the Navy is exploring several alternatives to sustain air and surface search capability aboard the Zumwalt class ships" on Oct. 15, 2020. That same statement said that "no decision has been made at this time" as to how the service will necessarily proceed. The first-in-class USS Zumwalt has already received its combat systems, but the second and third ships in the class, the USS Michael Monsoor and the future USS Lyndon B. Johnson are in the process of being fitted out. As such, all three could need to have their existing removed in order to receive new ones.
