[JustTheNews] South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster ordered South Carolina National Guard troops to help patrol the southern border in Texas.
The move comes amid growing concerns about the country’s porous southern border in the wake of the end of Title 42.
This move follows a mid-May request from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and a May 22 border security briefing in Austin, Texas, which McMaster and eight other governors attended.
"At the request of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, I have directed the deployment of South Carolina National Guard troops to Texas to help hold the line on the southern border," McMaster, a Republican, said in a Wednesday statement. "The safety and security of South Carolinians require that we stop the drug cartels, criminals, and terrorists from entering our country to peddle their poison."
Palmetto State officials said the mission is still in the planning phase and expect to announce additional details in the coming weeks, including the number of troops deploying. Officials plan to deploy troops by July 1.
On Wednesday, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice announced they would send National Guard troops to the southern border in Texas. Last week, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee authorized the deployment of 100 Tennessee National Guard troops to the Southern border.
According to a news release, Texas has spent more than $4.5 billion since the state launched Operation Lone Star in 2021. Lone Star lawmakers are considering another $4.6 billion for the next two years.
In neighboring Georgia, Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, has supported Abbott’s efforts but has not authorized national guard troops to Texas. However, Georgia National Guard troops are on the ground in Arizona, a Kemp spokesman confirmed to The Center Square.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] At least 153 El Salvador prisoners were tortured and killed as part of the country's notorious 'war on gangs' regime, a new human rights group report has said.
A report from rights group Cristosal said dozens of people had died in state custody after being imprisoned without trial after El Salvador instituted emergency powers in March 2022 to confront the country's powerful street gangs.
All of those who died in prison had not been convicted of the crime they were accused of committing at the time of their arrest. Four women were among the dead. The rest were men.
The deaths were the result of torture, and systematic and serious injuries, the report said. Nearly half of the victims suffered violent deaths.
El Salvador opened a mega-prison earlier this year to house some 40,000 suspected gang members that authorities had rounded up. At the time, the country's security minister warned that inmates 'will never walk out of here'.

This is, if I'm understanding the program, the response to El Salvador in response to the execution of a police officer, sending out some 8000 soldiers and rounding up everyone in that area who has a gang tat. [OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has taken over the probe into the recently busted Bhopal-Hyderabad Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT) module.
The module was first busted by the Madhya Pradesh ATS and Intelligence Bureau. However owing to inter-state ramifications, the probe was handed over to the NIA. The agency will now register a separate case.
The operation was launched at Bhopal, Chhindwara and Hyderabad, during which 16 persons allegedly associated with the HuT were arrested.
Ten persons were arrested from Bhopal, one from Chhindwara and five from Hyderabad. The arrested persons were working in various professions such as gym trailers, tailors, computer technicians and auto drivers in their local communities. The probe also revealed that these persons had formed a group and were plotting major terror strikes. They had dangerous plots in their minds, an official said.
Following their arrest, the agencies recovered scores of documents as well as videos in which some of them were seen addressing topics relating to the Caliphate and why democracy should not exist.
Further the officials also found numbers of several Paks on them. This has led to the suspicion that they may have been directed by a handler from Pakistain.
The probe officials also learnt that these persons were conducting shooting practices and close combat training in the remote jungle areas. This is also included the distribution of Jihadi literature, an official said.Further they also delivered provocative speeches during secret religious meetings. The accused persons were scouting for young persons who were ready to undertake suicide strikes, the probe also found.
During the course of the probe, the officials also learnt that five of the suspects had married Hindu girls and converted them to Islam. The converts were a pharmacy professor from Barasia in Bhopal and a cloud service engineer from Bhopal.

Earlier this month the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed an application relating to a case dated 2021 in a special court in Mumbai, seeking the custody of two accused persons. The NIA, which took over the case earlier this year was able to trace the criminal masterminds of the fake currency racket.
The NIA said that Javed Patel alias Javed Chikna was involved in circulating these high-quality fake notes of Rs 2,000. Javed is a close aid of proscribed terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, who is also an accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. Javed himself is a designated terrorist.
In 2021, two persons, Riyaz Abdul Suleman Shikilkar were arrested in Thane and counterfeit notes of Rs 2,000 was seized from them. They were caught with 149 notes.
The two accused were trafficking and circulating the fake currency on the instructions of a wanted person whose code name was 'uncle.' The NIA has said that the said person they were referring to is Javed. He is operating from a Malaysian number, but the IP address of his WhatsApp has been traced to Pakistain, the NIA also found.
The NIA said that those persons arrested are part of an international syndicate which is involved in printing and circulating fake currency notes. The intention is to damage the monetary stability of India, the NIA also said.

The United Arab Emirates has withdrawn from a US-led maritime coalition tasked with securing tense Gulf waterways that are vital to the global oil trade, it said Wednesday.
The UAE "withdrew its participation" in the 38-nation Combined Maritime Forces two months ago, a foreign ministry statement said, without giving reasons for the move.
"As a result of our ongoing evaluation of effective security cooperation with all partners, two months ago, the UAE withdrew its participation in the Combined Maritime Forces," said the statement carried by the official WAM news agency.
The Bahrain-headquartered CMF was established in 2001, initially as a partnership between 12 nations. It is active in crucial but troubled Gulf waters where tankers have been seized and attacked in recent months.
A spokesperson for the Combined Maritime Forces said the UAE remains a partner nation, despite putting its participation on hold.
"The CMF still includes 38 partner nations, of which the UAE is one," Commander Timothy Hawkins told AFP.

Esiyan village is one of the areas that has seen a massive share of the influx of Yazidi migration abroad.
Half of the residents of the Esiyan village, located in Sheikhan town, have left their areas in the course of the past few years and immigration from Iraq is a hot topic among the remaining villagers.
Sheikhan is a predominantly Yazidi town that is less than 50 kilometers in northern Nineveh province.

The elderly man says he will send another son abroad, citing a lack of job opportunities.
"I am now planning to send another son who is married abroad."

A Paleostinian man accused of murdering an elderly Israeli couple and a foreign national in a string of terror attacks in Jerusalem has fallen out with his public defender, who asked to stop representing him.
The presiding judge at the Jerusalem District Court on Wednesday rejected the lawyer’s request to stop representing Wasim a-Sayed. However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... the feud led to an absurd situation in which the accused killer interrogated family members of the murdered couple as they took the stand.
A-Sayed addressed Yehuda and Tamar Kaduri’s daughter from behind a partition, because the family had requested to not have to see his face, according to the Kan public broadcaster.
Speaking in Hebrew, he asked the victims’ daughter and son-in-law technical questions about photos taken in the Kaduris’ apartment.
He was indicted in April 2022 for the three murders, along with two more attempted homicides, over a period of three years.
According to the indictment submitted to the court, a-Sayed, 34, from the city of Hebron in the West Bank, joined the Salafia Jihadia jihadist group in 2011 and swore allegiance to Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. After his release from a Paleostinian prison in January 2019, he allegedly decided to carry out attacks against Jews in Jerusalem.
Shortly afterward, according to law enforcement officials, he stabbed the Kaduris to death in their apartment in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood of the capital — a case that police struggled for years to crack.
The investigation also found that a-Sayed was responsible for the attempted murder of teenager Hadar Bezalel days before murdering the couple.
The indictment said a-Sayed had been arrested and placed in Israeli administrative detention, without trial, for around two years at some point following those crimes due to his affiliation with Islamic State — though he was not suspected at the time of the murders.
He was released in March 2022, it said, and within days allegedly committed his next murder after he crossed into Israel illegally and looked for a target in Armon Hanatziv again.
He eventually randomly entered an apartment building and the unlocked home of two sleeping foreign workers. Believing them to be Jews, he stabbed the men in their sleep, killing Ivan Tarnovski and critically injuring his roommate.
A-Sayed was arrested hours later while trying to cross the security fence near Jerusalem again. The knife he was carrying, and his history of administrative detention, led him to be transferred to the custody of the Shin Bet for further questioning.
At the time of a-Sayed’s arrest, police were not aware that he was responsible for any of the murders.
"I decided that I would murder Jews but I wouldn’t tell anyone about it. It would only be between myself and my God. I decided that the Islamic State is my path. I looked for Jewish victims. I wanted to murder a man or a woman, but no children," a-Sayed told his interrogators, according to Channel 13.

According to reports by Al Jazeera and other networks, the blast occurred at a base belonging to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine — General Command (PFLP-GC), near the town of Qousaya in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, near the border with Syria.
PFLP-GC accused Israel of carrying out a strike at the base. Images posted to social media showed a crater, a damaged building, and a damaged car, apparently as a result of the earth-shattering kaboom.
Israeli officials, however, said that the Israel Defense Forces did not carry out any strike in the area.
“Wudn’t us. Work accident, looks like. When they’re colourblind the red and green wires look the same, donchaknow.”
A Lebanese security source who spoke to AFP said the blast was accidental. "An old rocket went kaboom! in an arms depot on the base and five fighters were killed," the source said.

PFLP-GC front man Anwar Raja said Israel had carried out "overnight raids" on the Qusaya base.

The confidential quarterly report by the Vienna-based IAEA says inspectors no longer have questions on uranium particles found to be enriched to 83.7% at its underground Fordo facility.
The report says Sherlocks also have closed off their investigation of traces of human-made uranium found at Marivan, near the city of Abadeh, some 525 kilometers (325 miles) southeast of Tehran.
