The provincial government media office in a statement said governor Hayatullah Hayat has instructed the Special Forces to carry out special operations to eliminate the bandidos bandidos bad boys and their symphatizers from the city.

Governor Hayat said the Special Forces of the Ministry of Interior will work jointly with the security personnel of other institutions for the betterment of the security of Nangarhar.

The statement by the provincial government also added that the MoI Special Forces will also assist with the operations to restrict the movement of the vehicles with black tinted glass and vehicles without registration plates.

They will also conduct operations against the irresponsible armed individuals and other illegal activities in Jalalabad city based on the orders of provincial governor, the statement added.

This comes as the anti-government armed forces of Evil have increased their attacks in Jalalabad city during the recent months.

The recent wave of attacks in Jalalabad city forced President Ghani to call for an emergency meeting where he instructed the security officials to take immediate steps for the improvement of the security of Nangarhar.

Ghani says government working on ceasefire with Taliban in Eid Al-Adha

group during Eid al-Adha.

Speaking during a meeting with the representatives of the registered political parties, President Ghani pointed towards the successful experience of the ceasefire with the Taliban during Eid al-Fitr and said the government is working on a similar ceasefire during the upcoming Eid al-Adha, according to the Office of the President, ARG Palace.

This comes as a Presidential spokesperson, Haroon Chakhansuri had earlier said that there are chances of another ceasefire announcement with the Taliban group during Eid al-Adha.

Speaking to news hounds in Kabul nearly two weeks ago, Chakhansuri further added that signs of interests are seen on all sides, the government and Taliban, to declare another ceasefire during the upcoming.

He said the ceasefire will only be declared based on the decision of the government and demands of the people and religious scholars.

In the meantime, President Ghani rejected the rumors suggesting that the personnel of the national defense and security forces are retreating from certain parts of the country.

He said such rumors are baseless and the government has no policy to establish safe zones for the murderous Moslems.

President Ghani also added that consultations will be made with all sects whenever it is required to take a resolute decision.

Arabia
Arab Coalition denounces AP report, reaffirms fight against terrorism in Yemen
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Arab Coalition’s front man Colonel Turki al-Maliki reiterated the coalition's mission and efforts to combat terrorism in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
in light of a recent News Agency that Dare Not be Named report falsely accusing the coalition of doing otherwise.

Maliki said that the report was based on opinions, rather than facts and concrete evidence. He reaffirmed the coalition’s purpose, which is to restore legitimacy in Yemen, adding that they are waging a war against terrorist organizations like ISIS, the Iran-backed Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
militias and al-Qaeda.

"The coalition has and will continue to carry out joint operations with brotherly and friendly nations to dismantle the capabilities of said groups through air, naval and joint Special Forces operations under the international cooperative efforts to eradicate terrorism and maintain international security," Maliki said.

"We have followed what AP posted today entitled "AP investigation: Yemen war binds US, allies, al-Qaeda". What was stated in this article whether it was stories or conclusions is unfounded and expressed the personal opinion of the author as there was no tangible evidence nor convincing arguments," Maliki added.

"The writer should have followed the professional ethics of journalism and fact-checked such information before publication through communicating with the Joint Forces Command of the coalition, and verifying the coalition’s efforts in combating terrorism, the coalition would have provided detailed information in this regard. All channels of communication with members of the media are open," he said.

Maliki concluded that the coalition will continue its efforts and operations to combat terrorist groups in Yemen, with the cooperation of the international community to eradicate terrorism around the world. He added that this is done through intelligence-sharing and joint operations with friendly nations.

Report: Saudi-UAE coalition 'cut deals' with al-Qaeda in Yemen
[Al Jazeera] A military coalition battling Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. rebels secured secret deals with al-Qaeda in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
and recruited hundreds of the group's fighters, a news report said on Monday.

For more than two years, a Saudi-led alliance - backed by US logistical and weapons support - claimed it crushed al-Qaeda's ability to carry out attacks from Yemen.

However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
an investigation by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named found the coalition has been paying some al-Qaeda commanders to leave key cities and towns while letting others retreat with weapons, equipment, and wads of looted cash.

Hundreds of al-Qaeda members were recruited to join the coalition as soldiers, the report said.

Key figures in the deal-making said the United States was aware of the arrangements and held off on drone attacks against the gang, which was created by the late Osama bin Laden
... who is now among the dear departed, though not among the dearest...
in 1988.

The deals uncovered by the AP investigation reflect the contradictory interests of the two wars being waged simultaneously in the southwestern corner of the Arabian Peninsula.

In one conflict, the US is working with its Arab allies - particularly the UAE - with the aim of eliminating al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula
...the latest incarnation of various Qaeda and Qaeda-allied groups, including the now-defunct Aden-Abyan Islamic Army that boomed the USS Cole in 2000...
(AQAP). But the larger mission is to win the civil war against the Iran-aligned Houthi rebels.

And in that fight, al-Qaeda gunnies are effectively on the same side as the Saudi-led coalition and, by extension, the US.

"Elements of the US military are clearly aware that much of what the US is doing in Yemen is aiding AQAP and there is much angst about that," said Michael Horton, a fellow at the Jamestown Foundation.

Europe
In New Admin Error, Germany Expels Uighur Man to China
[AnNahar] German authorities wrongfully deported an Uighur man to China due to an administrative error, local media reported Monday, in a fresh scandal as the country seeks to step up expulsions of failed asylum seekers.

Officials were due to hold a hearing with the 22-year-old Uighur, who was not named, on April 3 over his asylum application, said regional public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR).

But a fax announcing the hearing from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) apparently failed to reach local authorities in Bavaria, who, in the early hours of April 3, put the Uighur man on a plane to Beijing.

"We were unable to find the fax despite an intensive search," Munich authorities told BR.

"We regret greatly that the deportation took place even though a valid asylum application had been made. It was never the intention of the immigration authorities of Munich to infringe on the rights of the foreigner affected by the expulsion."

The BAMF would not give details on individual cases but told the broadcaster that expulsion would be "inadmissible" under such circumstances.

The Uighur asylum seeker's lawyer Leo Borgmann said he has had no news from his client since the deportation.

"There is no sign of life. We fear that he has been detained," Borgmann told BR.

- Secretive network -
Many of China's mostly Moslem Uighur minority say they face cultural and religious repression.

Members of the Uighur diaspora say relatives have been jugged

for seemingly innocuous acts such as sending Ramadan greetings to friends or downloading popular music.

Chinese authorities are also believed to have detained hundreds of thousands of Moslems in a secretive network of extra-judicial political re-education centers, where inmates are given language and ideological training and forced to participate in military-style drills.

The case surfaced after a series of administrative errors that led to illegal deportations by German authorities.

In a further controversial case, a German court in July ordered that a man who allegedly worked as a bodyguard for the late Osama bin Laden
... who doesn't live anywhere anymore...
be returned to Germany only hours after his deportation to Tunisia, saying the expulsion was illegal as he risks torture there.

The 42-year-old, identified by German authorities only as Sami A. and by Tunis as Sami Idoudi, had lived in Germany for more than two decades, but outrage over his presence grew in recent months.

Although he had won a court ruling against his deportation, the decision reached federal authorities by fax a day later -- hours after his flight to Tunisia had taken off.

Also in July, the interior ministry was forced to repatriate an asylum seeker who had been deported to Afghanistan even though his legal appeal against expulsion was ongoing.

In June, another Afghan man who was allowed back into Germany after he was illegally deported from the country was officially granted asylum.

The Grand Turk
Turkish lira hits record low after US reviews duty-free access
Consequences: so often not nearly as much fun as expected.
[AlAhram] The Ottoman Turkish lira plunged to record lows on Monday after the Trump administration said it was reviewing The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
's duty-free access to the U.S. market, a move that could affect $1.7 billion of Ottoman Turkish exports.

The U.S. Trade Representative's (USTR) review, announced on Friday, came after Ankara imposed retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods in response to American tariffs on steel and aluminium.

The currency has lost 27 percent of its value this year, battered primarily by concerns about President Tayyip Erdogan's drive for greater control over monetary policy. On Monday, it fell as much as 3.8 percent to a record low of 5.29 against the dollar, before recovering some ground to trade at 5.2750 at 1653 GMT.

The sell-off prompted the central bank to step in and loosen the upper limit of banks' reserve requirements. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
that did little to prop up the lira, which also hit a record low versus the euro.

"The best bet now is to expect further weakness in the lira - Turkey really doesn't need this," said Per Hammarlund, chief emerging markets strategist at SEB.

"They should be doing more to support the lira, but in my view this will continue for a while longer and the lira will take another beating here."

Vehicle Parts, Jewellery
The U.S. Trade Representative's office said the review could affect $1.66 billion worth of Ottoman Turkish imports into the United States that benefited from the Generalised System of Preferences programme last year. They included motor vehicles and parts, jewellery, precious metals and stone products.

It was unclear whether any large, listed Ottoman Turkish firms would be hit. Auto parts suppliers tend to be smaller, unlisted companies. Istanbul's main index fell 1.5 percent.

Data from the U.S. International Trade Commission showed that the biggest beneficiary of the duty-free programme were auto and auto parts makers, with exports of nearly $250 million last year. That was followed by precious stones and metals, at nearly $210 million.

A USTR spokeswoman said the review was unrelated to the case of Andrew Brunson, an American evangelical pastor who has lived in Turkey for more than two decades and is charged with supporting the group Ankara blames for an attempted coup in 2016.
So they say. But will anyone actually believe them?
Relations between the NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....
allies have steadily worsened, strained by differences on Syria policy and over Brunson's trial, exacerbating the sell-off in the lira.

The central bank said its move on the reserve requirements would free up $2.2 billion in liquidity for banks. The central bank could be expected to take similar moves ahead of its next policy meeting on Sept. 13, one forex banker said.

#1  I have no sympathy for Saudi Arabia. They're currently the lesser evil within the Islamic World, big emphasis on evil.

However compare this step to the West's weak kneed and submissive response to Muslim nations' diplomatic insolence during the Danish cartoon crisis, barely 4 years after 9/11.

If Denmark and other Western nations had responded by png-ing all ambassadors from these countries a red line would have been drawn in the sand by peaceful means.

The West is strong but politically masochistic. The Islamic world is weak but politically dominant and sadistic. That's a dangerous mix.

India-Pakistan
India kills 14 Maoist rebels
[ARABNEWS] Indian security forces Monday killed 14 suspected Maoist rebels in a raid deep inside the forests of Chhattisgarh state, as the government intensified its crackdown.

The police launched the operation after a tip-off about the presence of some 100 armed rebels inside two camps in a forested area of Sukma district.

"Fourteen Maoists have been killed in the operation, their bodies have also been recovered," said D. M. Awasthi, the state’s anti-Maoist police force chief.

Another shootout with the rebels was going on at a nearby spot, Awasthi told AFP, without revealing more information.

India’s Maoist insurgency began in the 1960s and has cost thousands of lives in the simmering violence.

A government security crackdown on the rebels since the start of the year has led to several casualties in the tribal areas across mainly five states.

Last month, eight Maoist rebels including four women fighters were killed near Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.

And ambushes on rebel camps over two days in April killed 37 Maoist fighters in western Maharashtra state.

The rebels ‐ also known as Naxals ‐ say they are fighting for the rights of the indigenous tribal people, including the right to land, resources and jobs.

Iraq
Iraqi Christians displaced by ISIL find solace in Baghdad
[Al Jazeera] Along with 183 other families, Perus calls an IDP camp - set up by the Christian Assyrians at their headquarters in Baghdad since 2014 - home.

The camp, which was established with the help of Baghdad's provincial council and the ministry of displaced families along with international NGOs and churches, provides Petrus' family with a portacabin of two rooms and kitchen.

To him, Baghdad has become home and he sees no way of going back to Nineveh.

"When I visited my hometown, I found nothing but a closet in my destructed flat," he says, sitting among his daughters in a small living room inside their cabin, with pictures of Jesus and a large cross adorning the walls.

"I found safety and security in Baghdad," says Petrus, who now runs a little shop in the camp.

"It's like how it used to be back home where I could practise my faith openly and everyone - Sunni, Shia, Christian or Yazidi - got along," he adds.

STILL IN FEAR
Like Petrus, Nahla Khadr, a mother of two, also from Hamdaniya, has no intention of returning to Nineveh.

"We'll either stay in Baghdad or leave the country altogether," says Nahla. "But I'd never go back."

Khadr, who has been living with her husband and children, Abdel Masih, 13, and Maryam, 11, at the camp Baghdad says Nineveh will never feel safe again.

"I went to visit [Hamdaniya] a few weeks ago, but my son refused to join us. He still remembers what it was like to leave when ISIS stormed our village. He's afraid to go back."

Although ISIS was defeated in December 2017, like Nahla and her family, most of the 148 families at the camp are unlikely to return to Nineveh. They see their future in Baghdad or abroad, where many of Iraq's Christians, and other minority communities, have gradually headed since 2003.

According to Yonadam Kanna, a former member of parliament and an Assyrian Christian from Baghdad, religious tensions remain in areas overrun by ISIS, making it difficult for Christians to return.

"Only 20 families went back, but even some of those returned here. They don't feel safe there and there's no opportunity or means to rebuild a life in Nineveh," he adds.

LEAVING IRAQ ALTOGETHER
Father Martin Dawood, head of the citizens' affairs department at the Christian Endowment Office, agrees the main obstacle in the way of Christian families returning is double-pronged: lack of services and trust.

"The Plains of Nineveh were already neglected by the government even before ISIS came. The tensions have only made it worse - there are no basic services or job opportunities."

"They are also afraid that ISIS or a similar group may return, and that this time they wouldn't be lucky to flee in time," adds Dawood, who says rebuilding trust between the families and the areas from which they fled is essential.

Still, Dawood says he believes the families in Baghdad will only remain in Iraq temporarily before migrating abroad.

"Most families in Baghdad wish to leave the country," he says. "Although in Baghdad the situation is better, for years [since the US-led invasion in 2003], Iraqi Christians have been leaving the country.

"ISIS's presence only made this desire to leave more urgent."

Iraq concludes manual recount of controversial May parliament polls
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq concluded on Monday the manual recount of votes for the parliament elections held in May, its electoral commission has announced, wrapping up a process that followed accusations of forgery.

The recount was launched early July at polling stations where complaints of vote manipulation had been filed as per a ruling by the Federal Court.

Those were the first polls Iraq held for the 329-seat chamber since declaring the defeat of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. The polls put the bloc sponsored by Shia holy man Moqtada Tater al-Sadr

U.N. Hails 'Credible' Iraq Vote Recount

[AnNahar] The United Nations on Monday hailed Iraq's "credible" vote recount, which paves the way for a government to be formed nearly three months after polls.

Iraq's May 12 parliamentary elections were marred by allegations of fraud, prompting the country's supreme court to order a partial manual recount.

As an official announced the checks had concluded, the U.N. said it had observed the recount and found it to be "conducted in a manner that is credible, professional and transparent."

"We are very pleased that it's been concluded and we look forward to the next steps in this process towards the formation of the new government," said a statement by Alice Walpole, a U.N. envoy to Iraq.

Iraqi officials have not specified when the results will be announced, after which lawmakers will take their seats in parliament, elect a president and begin the process for forming a government.

Judge Laith Hamza, spokesman for the electoral commission, said Monday the recount "in all polling stations in Iraq and abroad where complaints were registered has ended".

The commission decided not to undertake such checks for Al-Russafa, one of the largest voting districts in eastern Baghdad, where a fire in June ripped through Iraq's biggest ballot warehouse. In the arson attack "882 ballot boxes entirely went up in smoke", Hamza said in a statement, despite authorities at the time suggesting the votes were saved. Three police officers and an electoral commission employee were arrested over the blaze.

"The official results will be announced shortly," said Imad Jamil, responsible for the vote in Al-Russafa.

The recount will not however change the balance of power in the new parliament. Each list should keep the same number of seats announced in May, but the lawmakers elected could be modified, according to experts. When results were initially announced in May, the anti-graft alliance of nationalist cleric Moqtada Sadr had won the largest number of seats.

The election saw a record low turnout of 44.5 percent, with many Iraqis disillusioned by the political class.

Iraq has seen a month of unrest since protests erupted in the south of the country and spread to Baghdad, with demonstrators rallying against a lack of public services and jobs.

The IDF announced a round of promotions on Monday, including the incoming commanders of its infantry brigades and the Shayetet 13 naval commando unit.

Colonel Yisrael Shomer will head the Nahal Brigade. Shomer's name first appeared in the headlines back in 2015 after he was documented on camera shooting an Arab rock thrower near Bet El while commanding the Binyamin Regional Brigade. After an investigation, the IDF's legal department said that it would not file charges.

Colonel Tzion Ratzon will be appointed as the Southern Command's Chief of Staff and will be promoted to the rank of Brigadier General. Yuval Guez will be appointed the commander of the Paratroopers Brigade. Colonel Yitzhak (Itzik) Cohen will command the Givati Brigade.

Col. Guy Levy will head the Bahad 1 officers school while Colonel Avi Rosenfeld will command the infantry warfare school near Yerucham. Colonel Yitzhak Nimni will be appointed the commander of the School of Combat Engineering and Colonel Manor Yanai will command the Yahalom special engineering unit.

Colonel D. will be appointed the commander of the Shayetet 13 naval commando unit. His name cannot be publicized due to the classified nature of his unit.

All appointments are subject to approval by Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman.

Israeli minister: Egypt bears equal responsibility for Gaza
[ARABNEWS] Egypt bears as much responsibility for the Gazoo Strip as Israel does, an Israeli cabinet minister said on Monday, in remarks that could upset Cairo as it tries to avoid being drawn back into the Paleostinian enclave while brokering truce talks there.

In parallel to UN mediation, Egypt has used its contacts with both Israel and the dominant Paleostinian Islamist group Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbung millipede, to discuss ways of calming a more than three-month-old surge in confrontations along the Gazoo-Israel border.

But some Egyptian officials say they would resist any attempt by Israel, or its US ally, to shift to Cairo the onus for addressing Gazoo’s long-term governance or economic problems.

Egypt ruled Gazoo before losing it to Israel in a 1967 war. Israel withdrew troops and settlers from Gazoo in 2005 while keeping control of its coast and airspace. Egypt has helped the Israelis isolate Hamas while insisting they remain the occupiers of Paleostinian territory and therefore uniquely liable for Gazoo.

Asked about Cairo’s role in the truce talks, Zeev Elkin, a member of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet and Likud party, said Egyptian security needs meant the Arab power "understands that it cannot shrug off Gazoo."

"As far as we are concerned, after the State of Israel left Gazoo, responsibility should not be imposed on us. Egypt is no less responsible," Elkin to Israel’s Ynet TV in an interview.

"We left Gazoo. If someone strikes at us from Gazoo, they will get hit back. Let the Arab world resolve the internal, humanitarian problem of the Gazoo Strip. Why should we bear responsibility for this?"

Asked if Elkin’s comments reflected Netanyahu government policy, an Israeli official close to the prime minister declined comment. There was no immediate response from Cairo.

Rouhani: Iran cannot talk to US while under sanctions
[Al Jazeera] Iranian president says Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal proves that the US is 'untrustworthy'.
Not that they could talk to the U.S. before they went back under sanctions...

#1  Bummer, dude.

This is the part where the Iranians stake out their final, immovable position before they start to walk it back.
(in the meantime, the press goes nutzo over the horror that is President Trump)

So be it.

Osama bin Laden’s son married daughter of 9/11 lead hijacker — family
Another excerpt from the Guardian interview of Osama bin Laden’s family. Previous exerpts can be seen here and here.
[IsraelTimes] The son of the late Osama bin Laden
... who has left the building...
, the notorious planner of the 9/11 terror attacks in New York, has married the daughter of the lead hijacker of the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, according to the bin Laden family.
Speaking to the press for the first time, Osama bin Laden’s siblings told the Guardian that Hamza bin Laden, who is believed to now hold a senior position in al-Qaeda, had married Mohammad Atta’s daughter.

"We have heard he has married the daughter of Mohammed Atta," said half-brother Ahmad al-Attas. "We’re not sure where he is, but it could be Afghanistan."

Atta was one of the ringleaders of the 9/11 attacks and flew the plane into the north tower of the World Trade Center.

Hamza bin Laden, 29, was declared a "global terrorist" by the US last year after joining up with current al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri
... Formerly second in command of al-Qaeda, now the head cheese, occasionally described as the real brains of the outfit. Formerly the Mister Big of Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Bumped off Abdullah Azzam with a car boom in the course of one of their little disputes. Is thought to have composed bin Laden's fatwa entitled World Islamic Front Against Jews and Crusaders. Currently residing in the North Wazoo area assuming he's not dead like Mullah Omar. He lost major face when he ordered the nascent Islamic State to cease and desist and merge with the orthodx al-Qaeda spring, al-Nusra...
