Gen. Dunford in Afghanistan to take the pulse of operations: Pentagon
[KhaamaPress] The Department of Defense, Pentagon, has announced that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joe Dunford is in Afghanistan to take the pulse of the operations.

Gen. Dunford has said he wants to ensure Army Gen. Austin S. Miller, the commander of the Resolute Support effort in Afghanistan, has all he needs.

Furthermore, Gen. Dunford said he wanted to take the pulse of operations in the country in advance of the national elections in September.

The Afghans were holding a "rehearsal of concept" for the elections as he arrived, the Department of Defense said in a statement.

Meanwhile,
...back at the precinct house, Sergeant Maloney wasn't buying it. It was just too pat. The whole thing smelled phony, kind of like a dead mackeral but without the scales...
Gen. Dunford told news hounds "That is clearly a big priority for them, [and they are] making sure they have everything in place."

He also added that negotiations have not changed the military mission in the country.

"Day to day, the mission hasn’t changed for General Miller and the team, and they are still taking the fight to the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
and supporting the Afghan military," he said.

BA resumes Cairo flights after security review
One always wonders what went on behind the bland lack of explanation...
[AlAhram] British Airways said Thursday it would resume flights to Cairo following a week's suspension, having reviewed its security measures.
BA flights to and from the Egyptian capital will start again on Friday, it said in a statement.

The flag carrier suspended flights on Saturday as a precautionary measure.

"Following a thorough assessment of the security arrangements, we are pleased that our service to and from Cairo will resume from Friday," BA said.

"The safety and security of our customers and crew is always our priority, and we would never operate an aircraft unless it was safe to do so."

German carrier Lufthansa also said it was suspending flights to Cairo from Munich and Frankfurt just for last Saturday.

The airlines, two of the biggest in Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
, gave little explanation as to what triggered the moves.

An estimated 415,000 British nationals visited Egypt in 2018.

In its travel advice for British nationals heading to Egypt, the Foreign Office in London warns: "There's a heightened risk of terrorism against aviation.

"Additional security measures are in place for flights departing from Egypt to the UK. You should co-operate fully with security officials at airports."

New law lets Australian govt ban extremists for up to 2 years
[Ynet] The Australian Parliament on Thursday passed laws that enable the government to prevent suspected holy warriors from returning home for up to two years despite concerns it could be unconstitutional.

The Senate passed the laws with the center-left Labor Party supporting the conservative government's bill even though it worried Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton would have too much discretion to decide who was banished.

EU takes Hungary to court over ‘Stop Soros’ migrant law
[IsraelTimes] The Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an Union takes Hungary to the EU’s highest court over its controversial legislation against assisting migrants colonists, known as the "Stop Soros" laws, named after a Jewish billionaire who has been the target of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

The European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, has decided to refer Hungary to the Luxembourg-based court over "legislation that criminalizes activities in support of asylum applications and further restricts the right to request asylum," a statement says.

Germany's Muslims demand better protection amid increased threats
Mazyek says the attacks grown more violent and that many instances go unreported, as police forces and Germany's judiciary lack awareness and respective training. This problem is compounded, says Mazyek, by the fact that many Moslems do not report such abuse.
[DW] Germany's Moslems feel increasingly threatened after a number of recent bomb scares at mosques. Now, the heads of the country's leading Moslem associations want the government to take protective action.

In July alone, bomb threats have been made on mosques in the cities of Iserlohn, Villingen-Schwenningen and Munich, along with Cologne
...the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth populated city in Germany....

#1  The solution to the islamist menace is annihilation of the religion and its associated cultures like a plague. Keep killing them and dehumanizing them until they are brought to weigh their adamant adherence to their culture against survival. Convert or die ! Large areas may have to be de-populated for this, but the world will be better off. Humanity shall have time and repose to think about greater concerns than appeasing and accommodating regressive leeches and enemies of their societies.

Nations will become protectionist of their native demographic to the point of real xenophobia, and a return to 'ethnic cleansing'. No one can blame the people for imagining it today, but soon they will demand it. Denied by aboulomaniac administrations, they will simply jump the gun.
If they don't they will perish themselves.

It sounds evil and 'too much', I know. But wait and watch as the world is slowly brought to the same realization. There is coming a time when all the humanist "managing of expectations" will be unsustainable, making us murderers of millions.

#8  The article goes on and on about threats but never mentions who is making them. (what's with 'journalists' and this lack of curiosity?) Judging from the news (yeah, bad sampling) most mosque bombings and vandalism are either internal mosque politics, Shia vs Sunni, or false flag ops to gin up sympathy. Certainly there is some real vandalism, but dollars to donuts, it is less than Christian churches.

It finds that almost one in five people think negatively of Muslims.

Rather than go for the obvious snark, let's look at the numbers. 1 in 5 is 20 percent. Flip this around and you get 80% do NOT think negatively of Muslims. Not quite so scary, eh?

Adding to the general sense of bullsh1t, the first recommended article on that page is:
Islamophobic attacks in Germany sharply decline
A parliamentary inquiry has found that anti-Muslim attacks have been dropping steadily since 2017. However, a Left party lawmaker warned that hatred is still being spread widely online and inside communities.

Turkish military chiefs discuss possible offensive in Syria
Excuse me, guys — I was just wondering if you have anybody left to plan and execute an offensive, given so many of your best (not to mention the vast numbers who are merely “better”) have been sitting in jail awaiting trial for one reason or another? Or do you plan on using those Turkmen auxiliaries parked on the Syrian side of the border, the ones who have been so ineffective?
[Ynet] Ottoman Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar met military officials on Thursday to discuss a possible offensive east of the Euphrates River in Syria as Ankara ramped up warnings of a cross-border operation.

The meeting came a day after The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
said it would launch an offensive unless agreement on a planned safe zone in Syria could be reached with the United States, saying it had run "out of patience" with Washington.

The operation, which would mark the third Ottoman Turkish incursion into Syria in as many years, was first signalled by President Tayyip Erdogan earlier this year but later put on hold.

Following President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
's announcement of a planned U.S. withdrawal from northern Syria, the two NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
allies agreed to create a zone inside Syria and along its northeastern border with Turkey that would be cleared of the Kurdish YPG militia.

Turkey, Russia complete 1st part of missile defense delivery
[Ynet] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
's military says the first phase of the delivery of the Russian-made S-400 missile defense systems has been completed.

The military said the delivery of a "first group" of components ended on Thursday. A second group of components is due to begin arriving in the capital Ankara soon.

Russian cargo planes have so far made 30 flights to Ankara since July 12 to deliver the system.

Turkey took delivery of parts of the S-400 despite strong objections from the United States, which had been pressing Turkey to cancel the deal with Russia.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Minister Steinitz visits Egypt as historical energy deal set to start
[Jpost] Israel will begin natural gas exports to Egypt within four months, Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz told Rooters on Wednesday.

The flow will secure the start of a $15 billion export agreement between Israel’s Delek Drilling and Texas-based partner Noble Energy with an Egyptian counterpart in what Israeli officials called the most significant deal to emerge since the neighbours made peace in 1979.

Egypt hopes to leverage its strategic location and well-developed infrastructure to become a key international trading and distribution centre for gas, a potentially remarkable turnaround for a country that spent about $3 billion on annual liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports as recently as 2016.

Abbas says Palestinian will no longer abide by agreements signed with Israel
A threat President Abbas has been making for a while, with increasing stridency every two months or so.
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
says his government will stop abiding by agreements signed with Israel following the demolition earlier this week of 12 buildings in the West Bank territory adjacent to East Jerusalem but under PA control according to the Oslo Accords.

At a meeting of top Paleostinian officials at the PA presidential headquarters in Ramallah, Abbas calls the home demolitions in Sur Baher "a violation of international legitimacy and agreements signed between us and them, an issue that can only be identified as ethnic cleansing and a crime against humanity."

"In the face of the occupation authority’s insistence in negating all of the signed agreements and in line with the obligations that has been created, we announce the decision of the leadership to halt work related to the agreements signed with the Israeli side and begin establishing mechanisms, starting tomorrow with the formation of a committee to implement that," he adds.

Rouhani administration battles hardliners over claims of dual nationalism
[Jpost] President Hassan Rouhani’s chief of staff dismissed as baseless a list of alleged dual nationals in the Rouhani administration published by hardliners in the Iranian government, according to Radio Farda.

The hard-line cleric claimed that families of the Iranian elite received 2,500 green cards from former US president Barack Obama to gain favor with the Iranian nuclear-negotiation team.
"We are delighted that they have published the list," Mahmoud Vaezi said. "The list shows how baseless are the allegations."

Vaezi added that the list is based on guesswork and is not backed up by any hard evidence.

#1  Who knows that the US instigated and approved the Iranian Revolution in 1979? Ayatollah Khomeni was just a powerless exile until the State Department withdrew their support of the Shah, a staunch US ally.

U.S. Official: Iran Test-Fired Medium-Range Missile
[Jpost] Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
test-fired a medium-range ballistic missile on Thursday night, a US official told Fox News.

The missile was reported to be a Shahab-3 missile that flew a distance of 1,000km (Approx. 600 miles) to an area outside Tehran.

The US official suspected the test was part of Iran's efforts to improve the range and accuracy of their missiles.

"We are aware of reports of a projectile launched from Iran, and have no further comment at this time," a senior administration official originally told Fox News.
