FBI Has Not Requested Anti-Trump Agents' Personal Email Records
[Daily Caller] The FBI says it has not requested information from the personal email accounts of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the two bureau officials who exchanged anti-President Donald Trump text messages while working on the investigation into possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia.

The disclosure was made in a letter sent May 2 to Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Grassley, a Republican, questioned why the bureau has not sought Strzok and Page’s personal email records, noting they referred to using private email accounts to conduct government-related business.

"FBI has not requested from Ms. Page or Mr. Strzok any information from their personal email accounts, nor has the FBI conducted searches of non-FBI issued communications devices or non-FBI email accounts associated with Mr. Strzok or Ms. Page," Charles A. Thorley, the acting assistant director at the FBI’s office of congressional affairs, wrote to Grassley.

Strzok and Page worked closely on both the Trump-Russia investigation and the Clinton email probe. Their politically biased texts were discovered as part of a Justice Department inspector general’s investigation into the FBI’s handling of the Clinton email investigation. The Justice Department has provided Congress with thousands of text messages Strzok and Page exchanged during the course of both investigations.

Grassley has pointed to text messages Strzok and Page exchanged "show substantial reason" to believe the two FBI officials conducted government work on their private email accounts.

DOJ inspector general's testimony postponed, amid new leads in Clinton case review
[FOX] Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s widely anticipated testimony next week before the House Oversight Committee has been postponed, as the Justice Department IG has pursued new leads in his review of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, according to a congressional letter and sources familiar with the matter.
Oh dear. How much seedier can Mrs. Clinton’s reputation become?
"It is of the utmost importance that your review be as fulsome, complete and unimpeded as possible," Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., the chairman of the committee, wrote in a recent letter to Horowitz obtained by Fox News.
How long has the system been down ?
Horowitz was scheduled to appear before the committee on May 8. But Gowdy told Horowitz he wants to reschedule his testimony "as close to the day the report is finalized as is practicable."

Gowdy said the decision to postpone is based on "the representations" in an April 23 letter from Horowitz.

The developments suggest Horowitz is still working to complete his review of the FBI and DOJ's handling of the Clinton case. Sources familiar with the review have told Fox News that Horowitz has continued to pursue new leads and witnesses in recent weeks.

During a speech Friday, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said he expects Horowitz’s review will be finalized soon.

Text Mistress and Embattled FBI Lawyer Lisa Page Has Resigned
[Daily Caller] The FBI attorney, who exchanged anti-Trump text messages with another bureau official, resigned on Friday, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

The lawyer, Lisa Page, tendered her resignation, the FBI confirmed.
This job really blows. I'm out of here.
Page has faced months of scrutiny over the text messages, which she exchanged with Peter Strzok, the former deputy chief of the FBI’s counterintelligence division.

The exchanges show a deep hostility to President Donald Trump at a time when the two officials were working on the FBI’s investigation into possible Trump campaign collusion with the Russian government. Some of the texts show Strzok and Page cryptically discussing how to proceed with the investigation, which was opened on July 31, 2016.

"I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office ‐ that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected ‐ but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk," Strzok wrote to Page in an Aug. 15, 2016 text referring to then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

"It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40," he added.

"OMG THIS IS F***ING TERRIFYING," Page wrote to Strzok on Election Day, Nov. 8, 2016.

"F Trump," Strzok wrote in another text.

Britain
Amid anti-Semitism row, British Labour loses in heavily Jewish London borough
[IsraelTimes] Says one defeated councillor: 'Every Jewish Labour household we visited, people said, Not this time. Activists were being told, This is an anti-Semitic party'.

Britannia’s’ Labour Party suffered heavy losses in council elections in Jewish areas following widespread criticism of leader Jeremy Corbyn and his perceived failure to deal with anti-Semitism within his party.

Labour, whose leadership many British Jews believe is ignoring or encouraging the proliferation of anti-Semitism in its ranks, failed in Thursday’s elections to win from the Conservatives control of the council of Barnet, which is a northern borough of London where 14 percent of the population is Jewish. The council represents areas such as Golders Green, Hendon and Edgware.

Labour has never controlled Barnet Council since the borough’s creation as a municipal unit in 1964, but in West Hendon, which is an area of Barnet, and which the party had held for nearly 40 years, all three Labour candidates lost to Conservative rivals.

Barry Rawlings, Labour leader in Barnet, admitted the losses were because his party had not dealt with anti-Semitism properly. "It wasn’t because they disagreed with our manifesto, but because they felt the Labour Party has failed to deal with anti-Semitism at a national level. They are right," he told the Daily Mail.

Rawlings vowed to tackle anti-Semitism and remove it from his party.

Defeated Labour councilor Adam Langleben told the Guardian that Jews did not want to support the Labour Party even though they may have broadly agreed with its policies.

"Every Jewish Labour household we visited, people said, ’Not this time,'" he said. "Activists were being told, ’This is a racist party, an anti-Semitic party’, doors were slammed in their faces."

The failures in Barnet followed street protests by Jews against Corbyn, who became Labour leader in 2015. Corbyn in 2009 called Hezbollah operatives his "friends" and Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbung millipede, an organization "dedicated towards the good of the Paleostinian people and bringing about peace and social justice."

The street protests were unprecedented and highlighted a deep crisis in relations between representatives of British Jewry and the party that used to be many of their constituents’ political home.

The Conservatives also appeared to have benefited in Thursday’s votes from the collapse of the right-wing UK Independence Party (UKIP), which was instrumental in the Brexit vote but has since lost its way.

With results in early Friday from 99 of the 150 English councils that were holding elections, the Conservatives had a net loss of two seats, Labour had a net gain of 37 and the Liberal Democrats were up 40. UKIP was down 92.

Despite Labour’s gain, it had been expected to do better, and analysts said it had little to celebrate.

This is because in local elections in Britannia, the party that’s in national government usually loses seats as voters views at an opportunity to kick the party in national power. "For Labour to barely be ahead of the Tories in overall net gains is poor," Robert Hutton, British political news hound for Bloomberg News, wrote.

Mike Pence's Doctor Is Fired For Her Slime Attack On Dr. Ronny Jackson
[RedState] During the period he was a nominee to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Rear Admiral Dr. Ronny Jackson, President Trump’s personal physician, was subjected to a horrendous barrage of totally unsubstantiated personal attacks fed to Democrats on the Veterans Affairs committee and to the media. The attacks were scurrilous and what made them notable is there was never a whit of evidence produced for any of them. The two allegations that involved any factual basis were batted down by the Secret Service. In short, a good man was maligned and the Democrats, the media, and sad to say a lot of NeverTrumpers willingly carried water for the attacks.

Today, Vice President Mike Pence’s personal physician, Army doctor (no one is reporting her rank but I’m guessing it is lieutenant colonel) Jennifer Pena was forced to resign after being identified as the source of many of the rumors. This comports with initial stories we heard that Jackson was in a "power struggle" with another doctor for control of the White House medical operation and that was the source of the rumors.

Apparently, the whole vendetta started when Pena accused Jackson of violating HIPAA by sharing some health detail involving Mrs. Pence with Chief of Staff John Kelly. When her power play was rebuffed she turned to the Democrats.

Conyers Turns on Conyers In Bid to Replace Conyers
[ROLLCALL] The Conyers family power struggle intensified Thursday as Ian Conyers, the great nephew of disgraced former Rep. John Conyers Jr., took steps to boot the ex-congressman’s son John Conyers III from the ballot in the race to replace him.
It’s a family seat, but only one of them can win.
John Conyers III should be kicked from the ballot because he did not collect the requisite 1,000 valid signatures to run for his father’s old seat in Michigan’s 13th District, the formal challenge filed by an attorney for Ian Conyers asserts.
Nothing personal, it's just business.
The challenge urges officials to throw out 617 of the 1,240 signatures on John Conyers III’s filing petition because because they came from people who live outside the 13th District; are not registered to vote; and had already signed the petition, The bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit
... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang...
News reported.

"As is the standard process every election cycle, candidates can challenge petitions to ensure compliance with the spirit and letter of the law," Ian Conyers, a state senator, told the newspaper.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Kerry quietly seeking to salvage Iran deal he helped craft
[BOSTONGLOBE] John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, unsuccessful presidential candidate, and utterly failed Secretary of State...
’s bid to save one of his most significant accomplishments as secretary of state took him to New York on a Sunday afternoon two weeks ago, where, more than a year after he left office, he engaged in some unusual shadow diplomacy with a top-ranking Iranian official.

He sat down at the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the B.O. regime, according to a person briefed on the meetings.

With the Iran deal facing its gravest threat since it was signed in 2015, Kerry has been on an aggressive yet stealthy mission to preserve it,
How stealthy can it be when the Boston Globe is practically shouting about it from the rooftops?
using his deep lists of contacts gleaned during his time as the top US diplomat to try to apply pressure on the Trump administration from the outside. President Trump, who has consistently criticized the pact and campaigned in 2016 on scuttling it, faces a May 12 deadline to decide whether to continue abiding by its terms.

John Kerry Recently Met With Iranian Official in Attempt to Save Iran Nuclear Deal

[Townhall] A Boston Globe report came out Friday evening that former Secretary of State John Kerry has recently met with an Iranian official in order to save President Obama’s signature Iran nuclear deal. This raises serious concerns that Kerry violated the Logan Act by meeting with a foreign official.

If the report is accurate, Kerry could have violated the Logan Act.
Whoops!
The Logan Act, officially known as 18 U.S.C. §953, is "an old but rarely-invoked federal statute prohibiting unauthorized private diplomacy with foreign nations," according to the Federalist Society blog.

The Logan Act reads: "Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

San Diego County: Money from billionaire George Soros is going to support DA candidate Jones-Wright
[San Diego Union Tribune]He's doing this across the nation to build a fifth column
Here’s hoping his money is just as wasted this time was it was for the presidential election.
The district attorney's race in San Diego is heating up with news that billionaire George Soros is making television ad buys in support of Democratic candidate Geneviéve Jones-Wright.

A review of Federal Communications Commission records shows that the Soros-funded California Justice and Public Safety PAC is planning to air commercials on at least two San Diego-area news stations. Federal documents show that the political committee has made plans with Fox 5 to broadcast commercials, as well as with KUSI. The KUSI deal was worth $39,660. It's unclear if a deal has been finalized with Fox 5.

State campaign finance records show that the California Justice and Public Safety PAC has received $275,000 in contributions, all of which came through two donations by Soros.

A new website launched by Republican Summer Stephan, the appointed incumbent, associates Soros with the far-left group Antifa. The website ThreatToSanDiego.com features a photo of Soros superimposed over an image of Antifa demonstrators. Also on the site's homepage, under the headline "Who does Soros support?" is another photo of what appear to be Antifa demonstrators burning an American flag.

Antifa, short for "anti-fascist," is a fairly disorganized group which gained notoriety in the U.S. after violent clashes with the so-call "alt-right" in Berkeley last year.

The website says Soros is supporting Jones-Wright as "the anti-law enforcement candidate for D.A."

#2  The Democrat political ads for congressional seats we've been seeing in San Diego recently are bashing Trump for all they're worth. Trump is the issue. They are extremely shrill and nonsensical. One of the candidates is Sarah Jacobs, related to Irwin Jacobs who is the founder of Qualcomm and big time contributor to Baraq Obama among others. Sarah says she wants to get corporate money out of politics. Really?Well, that's what she says.

And then there are the gubernatorial candidates...If you think Brown was bad wait'll you get load of Gavin Newsom.

So far the Republicans have been laying low. Dunno if they're saving it for June or if they've given up.

Rhode Island group splits with Women’s March
[IsraelTimes] Local chapter says it broke ties with organization because of co-president Tamika Mallory, who attended an event where Louis Farrakhan called Jews his enemy.

The Rhode Island chapter of the Women’s March said it separated from the national organization because one of its leaders refuses to denounce anti-Semitic statements made by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
Good for them.
Rhode Island organizer Shanna Wells told the Providence Journal the group split from the Women’s March because the organization continues to work with co-president Tamika Mallory.

Mallory attended a Nation of Islam event in February where Farrakhan called "powerful Jews" his enemy during a speech. Farrakhan also complimented Mallory during the event.

The Women’s March denounced Farrakhan’s comments about Jewish people in a statement earlier this year.

The Rhode Island group said it will continue to advocate for marginalized people.

Mallory could not be reached for comment Thursday.
