Somali troops carry out an anti-al-Shabaab operation

in Sabid area under Afgoye district in the Lower Shabelle region.

The officers leading the operation said that the targeted al-Shabaab turban gathering on the outskirts of Sabid area, and 20 fighters were killed in the festivities.

The governor of Sabid, Mohammed Abukar Ahmed, said that the members of al-Shabaab who were killed were sneaking into the town but the troops neutralized their attempt.

He added that al-Shabaab has caused various problems for the people of Sabid area, but the government forces are ready to prevent any action they want to commit.

AU forces' withdrawal from Somalia postponed amid war on Al-Shabaab
[Garowe] The African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS] will not have the number of troops serving in the peacekeeping mission reduced for at least the next six months, the African Union has confirmed, following a request by the federal government of Somalia.

Under the Somali Transition Plan [STP], ATMIS was to have at least 2,000 soldiers withdrawn as part of the exit strategy this December, a program which was to be carried out for the next 24 months, to allow all the 22,000 soldiers serving in the country handover to the Somali National Army [SNA].

"AU Confirms support for the FGS request to extend the ATMIS Phase 1 Reconfiguration for the drawdown of 2,000 ATMIS troops from 31 December 2022 to 30 June 2023, as a slight revision of the operational timeline, while reconfirming the commitment to maintain the exit date of 31 December 2024 by ATMIS," said AU peace and security council.

The resolution now means reconfiguration of the troops will start taking effect from July 2024, a delay of almost eight months. Somalia is still struggling to dislodge the al-Shabaab

murderous Moslems who control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

Abukar Osman, the Somalia ambassador to the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
, made the request to the Security Council, noting that the SNA forces are not yet ready to take over given the most recent operation against the murderous Moslems which has ultimately depleted a number of armaments.

"This challenge and other new developments have forced the Government to request an extension on initiating the first phase of the STP," Osman said. The Somali Transition Plan is a roadmap that guides the preparation of Somali Security Forces to assume responsibilities from the AU forces.

While African Union insists it is ready to hand over security responsibilities in Somalia, the move is, however, determined by the security situation. For instance, the murderous Moslems have been engaging in retaliatory attacks for the last three months after SNA waged a crackdown in their territories.

Currently, the security situation in the country is described as "shaky" with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud asking for assistance from foreign nations. On Wednesday, the US Africa Command unleashed an Arclight airstrike

in Lower Shabelle in support of SNA soldiers, killing over 49 al-Shabaab holy warriors.

Somalia: Al-Shabaab suffers losses in latest military crackdown
[Garowe] al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...

Lions of Islam on Wednesday suffered massive losses in Lower Shabelle, the government reported, in the latest crackdown waged by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who has declared war against the group which has been terrorizing innocent civilians.

The group has been under siege in interior parts of the country particularly in central and southern Somalia, ceding control of several strategic towns where it has been extorting locals besides instilling their authority by offering services at the detriment of the Somali government.

According to the Ministry of Information, over 49 Lions of Islam were killed following an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
at Lower Shabelle, following an operation by the Somali National Army [SNA] which was aided by the local militia and international partners. The United States has been contributing to the efforts to degrade the murderous Moslems.

The airstrike was activated by the US Africa Command which was backing the Danab Special forces according to the government. The command is yet to confirm the airstrike but it does so after verification of the casualties for the purpose of accurate tabulation for record-keeping purposes.

"The Lions of Islam were killed in the Bulo Madina area, where they had converged to plan terrorist activities against the Somali people," read the statement by the Ministry of Information, which did not delve much into the details awaiting confirmation by the US Africa Command.

The operation also successfully destroyed the group’s armor and armored vehicles used by the Lions of Islam to carry out their terrorist activities. This comes after Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre reported that for the last three months, over 500 al-Shabaab Lions of Islam have been killed across the country.

Hamza Barre further said the crackdown has left almost 1000 al-Shabaab Lions of Islam badly injured as the government seeks to stamp authority in strategic villages. The al-Shabaab Lions of Islam who are willing to defect are always accommodated by the government upon going through rehabilitation.

Turkey launches domestic anti-PKK operation in its southeast
[Rudaw] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
on Thursday said it has launched a military operation targeting Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members in the country's southeast Sirnak and Siirt provinces (Bakur), state media reported.

The operation is an extension of the "Eren Blockade" autumn winter operations and involves the participation of 755 security forces who were deployed to Mount Gabar to eliminate remnants of the PKK from the area, Turkey's state-owned Anadolu Agency said.

"On the first day of the operation, based on point intelligence, 8 caves, and 2 shelters were detected in the land, search, and scanning activities in the Gabar Mountain region," Anadolu claimed, adding that the caves were "rendered unusable."

Ottoman Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu in early October launched Operation Eren Blockade with the goal of eliminating the PKK from the countryside.

Earlier in November, Turkey accused the PKK of carrying out an attack on a famous street in Istanbul which killed at least six and injured a further 81.

The PKK later denied responsibility for the attack, saying "we have nothing to do with this incident and it is well-known by the public that we would not target civilians directly or approve of actions directed at civilians."

Ex-Olympics Boxer Arrested In US For Purchasing AK-47 Rifle, Threatening Mass Shooting
[SAHARAREPORTERS] A former Olympics boxer, Azea Augustama, better known as the "Haitian Hitman" has been arrested for threatening to shoot persons at a gym in South Florida, United States.According to an arrest affidavit, Augustama, who represented Haiti at the 2008 Olympics, was arrested on Tuesday after putting a deposit down to buy an AK-47 rifle.

Augustama was accused of three felonies, two counts of issuing written threats to commit a mass shooting and one count of threatening to kill or do bodily harm, the affidavit said.

CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
reports that the incident began when Augustama, who works as a personal trainer, had his membership revoked and was given a trespass warning earlier this month from BOXR Gym on Northeast 1st Avenue in Miami, after he got into an argument with someone, an arrest report said.

On Tuesday, he called police so he could return to the gym to get some personal items. Afterwards, he began making threatening posts on Instagram, the report said.

In one of the posts, he included a picture of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gunman with a long caption that he was "considering shooting" multiple people at the gym, the report said.

Augustama added that he was "willing to shoot with a actual gun or bazooka for righteousness sake," the report said.

He also sent a message to a witness with a photo of one of his intended victims that said "he's first when I get my gun or with something else first (RIP)," the report said.

Augustama then went to a pawn shop in Opa-locka, where he placed a $150 deposit on an AK-47.

Surveillance footage showed him handling the weapon inside the pawn shop.

At a court hearing Wednesday, Augustama was ordered held on $3 million bond.

Mateo Attalla, who owns the gym, said police were quick to respond to the threats.

"Police automatically, they saw what was going on, because he was tagging the gym and stuff, so they immediately jumped on it quickly," Attalla said.

It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip last month, suspecting him of planning a bombing attack on a bus in southern Israel on behalf of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad terror group, the Shin Bet security service said Thursday.

The agency said that Fathi Ziad Zakot, 31, from the southern Gazook city of Rafah, had a valid permit to enter Israel for work. He was arrested on October 30 and an indictment was filed on Thursday at the Beersheba District Court, whereupon the Shin Bet released information about the case.

According to the Shin Bet, Zakot was recruited by a member of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad sometime in September, and later underwent training by an explosives expert who taught him how to build a bomb.

Zakot entered Israel several times while remaining in contact with members of the terror group. After entering on October 19, Zakot obtained wires, batteries and other materials used to build an bomb, according to the indictment.

The Shin Bet said the materials were seized when Zakot was arrested.

Zakot was charged with various weapons offenses, belonging to a terrorist organization, planning and training for an act of terrorism, and contact with a foreign agent, among several more charges.

The indictment comes amid an ongoing debate in Israel about allowing large numbers of Paleostinians from the Gaza Strip into Israel to work, a move that the army has historically supported as a stabilizing measure by boosting the Gazook economy, and the Shin Bet has generally opposed, fearing that it would be abused by Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, or other terror groups to carry out and coordinate attacks against Israeli targets.

Israel recently raised the quota of work permits for Gazook Paleostinians to 17,000, expanding a policy that defense officials view as a means of maintaining quiet on the country’s southern front.

"Israel will not allow the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip to exploit the civilian channel to advance terror attacks, and will act against these attempts with severity while viewing Hamas [which governs Gaza] as the responsible party," a Shin Bet official said.

In response to the attempted bombing, Israel’s military liaison to the Paleostinians, known by its acronym COGAT, revoked some 200 permits from Paleostinians with ties to Zakot.

"The findings of the investigation illustrate once again that the terrorist elements in the Gaza Strip are investing a lot of effort in establishing terrorist infrastructures that undermine regional stability, including taking advantage of work permits issued by Israel for the purpose of advancing military activity," the Shin Bet said.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz said terror groups were taking advantage of the work permits.

"The attempt by terrorist organizations to take advantage of the employment of laborers in Israel for the purpose of attacks endangers the livelihood of hundreds of thousands of residents in the Gaza Strip," he said.

Teen moderately hurt in suspected terror car-ramming in Beersheba; driver arrested
[IsraelTimes] Footage shows car driving onto sidewalk then slamming into student in uniform; Rahat man claims incident was accident

A teenager was moderately hurt in a car-ramming attack in the southern city of Beersheba on Thursday morning, police and medics said. The driver was arrested.

The alleged attacker drove his vehicle on the sidewalk near the Israeli Air Force Technological College, slamming into an 18-year-old man, according to surveillance camera footage and eyewitnesses/

Footage showed the driver initially fleeing the scene.

The teen, a student at the college, was taken to Soroka hospital in the city in moderate condition, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said.

The driver, a 39-year-old resident of the Bedouin-majority city of Rahat, was arrested some 100 meters away, according to law enforcement officials.

The driver told news hounds as he was leaving the hospital on his way to be questioned by police that he had lost control of the car while driving and accidentally hit the teenager.

The suspect was later taken to be questioned by the Shin Bet security agency.

Police said he was suspected of "a terrorist act of attempted murder," and would be brought for a court remand hearing on Friday morning.

Police initially said that "all possible investigative avenues are being examined."

The commander of the police’s Negev District, Deputy Commissioner Nachshon Nagler, said an initial investigation found the ramming was intentional, but added that it was still being probed whether the motive was nationalistic, i.e., terror-related, or criminal.

"At this point, we aren’t ruling out any explanation," he said to news hounds at the scene, shortly after the incident.

But on Thursday evening, police and the Shin Bet said the incident was a terror attack.

While technically not enlisted in the military, students at the IAF college wear uniforms.

The driver had in recent days published posts on the TikTok video-sharing site claiming he had been threatened by a Jewish Israeli man brandishing a gun in Beersheba.

"Nobody can threaten the Bedouins here in Beersheba or in the south. If you respect us we will respect you, and if not you will suffer. This is not a threat, but for our dignity, we are willing to give up our lives," the suspect said in a rant.

In another clip, as the suspect walked out of a cop shoppe apparently after filing a complaint against the man who allegedly threatened him, he called on Bedouins to prepare to defend themselves.

"I call on your Bedouins, you need to be prepared at any moment for any threat. Each and every one should protect themselves in this racist country," he said.

The Haaretz daily cited people close to the suspect and his family as describing him as unstable and suffering from epilepsy.

The suspected attack came a day after two bombs were detonated at two bus stops near entrances to Jerusalem, killing a teenager and wounding more than 20 others.

Iranian hackers post footage of Jerusalem attack obtained from major security agency
[IsraelTimes] Officials confirm clip taken from agency surveillance camera, but say no security breach occurred; Moses Staff group claimed to have hacked dozens of cameras earlier this year.

Previously unseen footage that was published on Thursday on the Telegram social media service by an Iranian hacker group showing a bombing attack in Jerusalem a day earlier came from surveillance cameras used by a major Israeli security organization.

The group, Moses Staff, claimed it had hacked security cameras thought initially to have been operated by police. Earlier this year, the group published footage from dozens of cameras throughout Jerusalem and some in Tel Aviv.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Report: Iranian-Briton arrested for tipping off media about Mahsa Amini protests
[IsraelTimes] Regime-controlled Fars News says detainee was ’a source for hostile television channels,’ including BBC, and ’incited civil disobedience and rioting’.

A British-Iranian dual national has been arrested for tipping off foreign media, including the BBC, about protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini, Iran’s regime-controlled Fars news agency reported late Wednesday.

The BBC, which broadcasts in Persian as part of its World Service, has repeatedly complained of threats and intimidation against its journalists and their families at home and abroad which it has blamed on Iran.

Iran, which does not accept joint citizenship, has accused Britannia of fanning the two months of protests since Amini’s death in morality police custody, by hosting hostile Persian-language media.

The Fars report gave no name, gender or date of arrest, saying only that the arrest was made by the intelligence services and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran’s third city Isfahan.

Fars described the detainee as "a source for hostile television channels, namely the BBC and Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
International," the latter being a Saudi-linked channel operating out of London.

The detainee had a "direct link and family ties with some of the channels’ journalists," the news agency added.

"Beyond working with these television channels, this individual communicated and cooperated with certain counter-revolutionary elements abroad and incited civil disobedience, rioting, security breaches, vandalism and the destruction of public property during the recent riots."

Iran has called in the British ambassador in Tehran, Simon Shercliff, four times since the protests started.

Earlier this month, Britannia hauled in a senior Iranian diplomat in London after what it described as death threats against journalists living in the UK.

Two British-Iranian journalists working in Britannia for Iran International had received "credible" death threats from Iran’s security forces, the channel said.

Volant Media, the channel’s London-based broadcaster, said the pair had received "death threats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps."

Iran International has provided extensive coverage of the protests sparked by Amini’s death on September 16 after she was arrested for allegedly breaching Iran’s strict dress code for women.

Iran has arrested 40 foreign nationals during the wave of "riots," judiciary front man Masoud Setayeshi said in comments carried by its Mizan Online news website on Tuesday.

Turkish Airstrikes On NE Syria Continue Despite Warnings By US, Russia
[NPASYRIA] RecentOttoman Turkish air raids on north and northeast Syria spared neither Russian nor the US-led Global Coalition, signaling flagrant Ottoman Turkish disregard to all calls and warnings made by both countries to bring attacks to a halt and avert any potential ground invasion of northeast Syria.

On November 22, a Ottoman Turkish drone struck a jointly operated base by the US-led Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria, more than 50 km distance from the Ottoman Turkish border.

In a statement, the SDF said two of Counter-Terrorism Units (YAT) were killed and three others were maimed, two of them seriously.

Kurdish areas in Iran go on strike to condemn regime brutality, star soccer player arrested
[Rudaw] General strikes began across Iran's Kurdish region on Thursday with shops and businesses being closed in condemnation of the Islamic Theocratic Republic regime’s unprecedented crackdown in the Kurdish areas (Rojhelat) after more than 40 protesters, including children, were killed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its militia in a space of a week.

The crackdown in Rojhelat has prompted many in the international community and Iranian diaspora, as well as inside Iran, to demand that the Kurds be protected.

The IRGC has taken over the security in the Kurdish areas. On Monday, the guards created a bloodbath in the town of Javanrud in Kermanshah province, killing at least six and wounding dozens. Activists and residents in the town told Rudaw English that the IRGC has erected checkpoints across the town, militarizing it.

Videos coming out of the Kurdish areas from Bukan, Saqez, Sanandaj, Mariwan, Qorveh, Kamyaran, and Piranshahr, among many other towns, showed roads and streets deserted with all the shops and businesses shut. The strikes follow calls from Kurdish opposition groups directing Kurdish people in Iran, which number around ten million, to stage them.

In response to recent bloodshed in the Kurdish areas and following IRGC attacks on Kurdish opposition groups in the Kurdistan Region on Tuesday, the groups released a statement calling for a general strike across the Kurdish areas of Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
on Thursday in order to strengthen the unity of the people in fighting the oppression of the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported that as of Thursday morning, 440 people including 61 children have been killed, in addition to 56 members of the security forces. In the Kurdish areas, the number is estimated to be at 98 protesters including 10 children.

"It has been a few days that the regime has used all its might in Kurdistan and has created a bloodbath and intends to carry out a general massacre," read the statement from the Cooperation Center of Iranian Kurdistan’s Political Parties which include the main Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI) and the leftist Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan. The Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), another Kurdish opposition group, also called for the strikes.

A 16 year old student was severely maimed when the IRGC opened fire on a group of students Sanandaj on Wednesday. Another The maimed protester was reportedly kidnapped from his hospital bed in Sanandaj, according to Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.

Iran arrests star soccer player for ‘propagandizing’ against regime

[IsraelTimes] Islamic Theocratic Republic also accuses Voria Ghafouri, an outspoken critic of the government and a supporter of nationwide protests, of ’insulting’ national soccer team.

Iran has arrested a prominent former member of its national soccer team over his criticism of the government as authorities grapple with nationwide protests that have cast a shadow over the team as it competes in the World Cup before a global audience.

The semiofficial Fars and Tasnim news agencies reported Thursday that Voria Ghafouri was arrested for "insulting the national soccer team and propagandizing against the government."

Ghafouri, who was not chosen to go to the World Cup, has been an outspoken critic of Iranian authorities throughout his career, objecting to a longstanding ban on women spectators at men’s soccer matches as well as Iran’s confrontational foreign policy, which has led to crippling Western sanctions.

More recently, he expressed sympathy for the family of a 22-year-old woman whose death while in the custody of Iran’s morality police ignited the latest protests. In recent days he also called for an end to a violent mostly peaceful crackdown on protests in Iran’s western Kurdish region.

The reports of his arrest came ahead of Friday’s World Cup match between Iran and Wales. At Iran’s opening match, a 6-2 loss to England, the members of the Iranian national team declined to sing along to their national anthem and some fans protested.

Ghafouri, who is also a member of Iran’s Kurdish minority, has criticized government policies in the past. Officials have not said whether that was a factor in not choosing him for the national team. He plays for the Khuzestan Foolad team in the southwestern city of Ahvaz.
