Afghanistan
Taliban ready for intra-Afghan dialogue immediately after Eid
[DAILYTIMES.PK] Afghan Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
political front man Suhail Shaheen said on Thursday that the Taliban will be ready for intra-Afghan negotiations immediately after Eidul Azha if the government frees hundreds of their prisoners.Shaheen’s offer came after Afghan government’s refusal to release about 600 Taliban prisoners over what Afghan officials claim their involvement in serious crimes such as drug trafficking, abducting citizens, sexual assault, stoning of women, liquidations, and other human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
cases.

The intra-Afghan negotiations were scheduled to start on March 10 under the Taliban-US agreement signed in late February but differences over the release of prisoners delayed the dialogue, which is key to Afghanistan’s future set up.

"The Islamic Emirate is ready to release all remaining prisoners of the other side before the eve of Eidul Azha provided they release our prisoners as per our list already delivered to them. Likely, IEA is ready to begin intra-Afghan negotiations immediately after Eid in case the process of the release of the prisoners is completed," Shaheen said in a twitter post.

Under the US-Taliban agreement, up to 5,000 Taliban would be freed by the Afghan agreement while Taliban would release up to 1000. The government has released over 4,000 Taliban.

Taliban political front man Suhail Shaheen told Daily Times that they have released 861 government’s prisoners until Tuesday.

Trustee at UK’s top Muslim charity resigns; called Jews ‘grandchildren of pigs’
Sunshine is the best medicine.
[IsraelTimes] Heshmat Khalifa of Islamic Relief Worldwide sorry for anti-Semitic posts; also praised Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, as ’purest resistance movement in modern history,’ termed Egypt’s Sissi ’Zionist pimp’.

A trustee and former top official in the UK’s largest Moslem charity has resigned after The Times reported Friday that he had posted anti-Semitic comments on social media.

The newspaper found posts from 2014 and 2015 in which Islamic Relief Worldwide
...the “charity” arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Britain, it has received millions of pounds from the British government’s Department for International Development and six-figure sums from the Obama government, while Israel and the UAE have banned it for forwarding funds to Hamas...
’s Heshmat Khalifa said the Jews were "grandchildren of monkeys and pigs," a common refrain among anti-Semitic Moslems, based on controversial Koranic verse.

In other posts he called Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi a "Zionist Pimp" for his support of Israel, as well as a "Zionist pig," a "Zionist traitor" and a "Zionist criminal."

He also called the Hamas terror organization, responsible for thousands of deaths of Israeli civilians, "the purest resistance movement in modern history."
Muslim Brotherhood organizations appreciate one another properly...
Based in Birmingham, Islamic Relief Worldwide has branches in 40 countries and is one of the largest Islamic charities in the world. Following The Times’ revelation of the comments, Khalifa stepped down from his posts as trustee as well as chairman of Islamic Relief Australia and director of offices in Germany and South Africa.

Egyptian-born Khalifa, 63, has been a British citizen since 2005. He told the paper he regretted his comments, saying they were "my expressions of frustration with the political regime, rather than beliefs that I hold."

He added: "I did not intend to insult the Jewish community and neither do I hold views which are antisemitic. I have dedicated much of my life’s work to promoting tolerance and freedom of religion and beliefs."

IWR said it "sincerely regrets any offense caused" and stressed that Khalifa’s posts "contravene the values and principles of Islamic Relief Worldwide."

The Charity Commission for England and Wales said it was launching a probe into the matter.

German Foreign Ministry hires Islamist who defends Israel’s destruction

German Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
’s Foreign Ministry has been plunged into a devastating new antisemitism scandal for the hiring of a radical Islamist who defends the annual Iranian regime-sponsored rally al-Quds Day calling for the obliteration of Israel.

Denver Police Union Head Confirms ‘Stand-Down’ Order was in Place at Pro-Cop Rally
[AMGREATNESS] Randy Corporon, a lawyer and one of the rally’s organizers, revealed that the excuse he was given by Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen, prior to the event, was that Pazen feared that “his officers were going to get hurt.” Corporon says he responded by simply saying that “he should allow his officers to do their job…if people are down there breaking the law, stop them.”
Remember back in World War II, when Patton refused to let his men assault Anzio Beach because his men might get hurt? And that time Eisenhower thought about taking Normandy? And Zhukov was gonna throw the Nazis out of Stalingrad?

* Patton was not involved in the Italian campaign after the slapping incident in Sicily. He would be sidelined till after Normandy. The Americans found someone else as 'competent' as the British had found for Gallipoli to carry that one out instead.

Balt. State's Atty Mosby: Federal agents sent to Baltimore 'will face criminal charges'
[Fox News] - Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby is warning that if the Trump administration sends federal agents to Baltimore and Philadelphia to "engage in the same illegal vigilante activities" as in Portland, they "will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

The Freddie Gray Mosby?
Lets look at the record (wikipedia): The trial against Officer William Porter ended in mistrial. Officers Nero, Goodson, and Rice were acquitted.[18] The remaining charges against the officers were dropped on July 27, 2016.

Iraq
Abducted German arts educator freed: Iraqi spox
[Rudaw] Abducted German arts educator Hella Mewis has been liberated by Iraqi security forces from her captors, tweeted Yehia Rasool, spokesperson of the Iraqi commander-in-chief on Friday morning.

Mewis was freed at 6:25 a.m. local time (0325 GMT) in an operation outside the capital Baghdad in which security forces raided a location based on information they obtained regarding her whereabouts, a security official told the News Agency that Dare Not be Named on condition of anonymity.

The German national, who ran numerous programmes at an arts collective in the capital, was kidnapped late Monday outside her workplace in central Baghdad, according to friends and a security source. No information has been released on the identity of her captors.

A friend of Mewis, speaking to Rudaw English on condition of anonymity, said the German national is "fine." Mewis said her captors did not do anything to her and she is leaving Iraq as soon as possible, according to the friend.

Mewis’s abduction came just two weeks after prominent Iraqi security analyst and Rudaw columnist Husham al-Hashimi was assassinated by unknown gangs in Baghdad. Hashimi’s death struck fear in already wary journalists, activists, and members of civil society similarly speaking out against the status quo in Iraq.

The artist, who has lived in Baghdad for seven years, took part in ongoing protests that began sweeping across Baghdad and Iraq's Shiite-majority south in October, voraciously documenting them on her work Instagram account. Her friend, speaking to Rudaw on condition of anonymity, said the involvement of a foreigner in the protests saw her branded a spy by what he called an "electronic army" of online anonymous trolls.

A number of foreign nationals have been kidnapped over the past year, marking a sharp increase in a practice that had been becoming less common than it once was. Two French journalists were kidnapped allegedly by gangs during the new year’s attack on the US embassy in Baghdad, but were released shortly after. Three Frenchies working with a French Christian charity in Iraq were kidnapped in January and released three months later.

The perpetrators of Hashimi’s assasination are still on the lam, but blame has mostly been squared at the Iran-backed armed militias — particularly Kataib Hezbollah, a Tehran-backed Iraqi militia falling under the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF, known in Arabic as Hashd al-Shaabi) umbrella. Hashimi had received death threats from hardline PMF factions soon before his death, his associates said.

pandemic placed the country on lockdown, Iraq had been rocked by months of nationwide unrest as overwhelmingly young crowds demanded jobs, services, and action against corruption.

At least 600 protesters and members of the security forces were killed and more than 18,000 injured over the months since the movement emerged in October, according to human rights

monitor Amnesia Amnesty International.

Journalists, activists, and civil society actors are among those who have been caught in the crosshairs of the violence of the ongoing protests.

By March 17, at least 53 liquidation attempts on protesters and aligned activists had been recorded, with 22 killed, Ali al-Bayati, commissioner of Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights (IHCHR), a government-funded body documenting abuses told Rudaw English on June 15. Of 75 people kidnapped, only 25 have been released to date, the fate of the remaining majority unknown.

The Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council released a statement Friday morning confirming the release of Mewis, saying an investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at a later time.

Hamas West Bank leader said freed from detention after 16 months
[IsraelTimes] Hassan Yusef, co-founder of terror group and father to ’Son of Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,,’ said released without trial after arrest last year at Ramallah home.

Israel on Thursday freed a big shot of Hamas in the West Bank after imprisoning him without trial for 16 months, his son said.

Hassan Yusef, a co-founder of the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
-based terror group, was arrested on April 2 last year at his home near Ramallah.

"He is now at home and is in good health," his son Owais Yusef told AFP.

Following his arrest, Yusef was handed a six-month detention order that was extended for another six months and then for a further four, his son said. The 65-year-old, who has been arrested multiple times, had been released from a previous 10-month term of imprisonment in October 2018.

Israel’s administrative detention system allows the internment of prisoners for renewable periods of up to six months each, without bringing charges. Israel says the procedure allows authorities to hold suspects and prevent attacks while continuing to gather evidence, but critics and rights groups say the system is abused.

Around 350 Paleostinians were being held under administrative detention orders at the end of May, the latest data currently available, according to Israeli human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
organization B’Tselem.

The group said the evidence against detainees was not disclosed.

A member of the now-defunct Paleostinian parliament, Hassan Yusef is estranged from his eldest son, Mosab Hassan Yusef, who for 10 years spied against Hamas and for Israel.
