-War on Police-
Two Utah Deputies Shot Outside Sheriff's Building
[BREITBART] Two Salt Lake County Sheriff’s deputies were shot Saturday morning while "performing routine perimeter security" outside the Sheriff’s Office Building. The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office noted "a deputy was shot and is at death's door while the second deputy was shot and in serious, but stable condition."

KARK reports the shooting suspect was a 30-year-old male whom the deputies came upon while doing their security checks.

Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Riveria said, "This individual may have been on the grass. We don’t know if he was asleep or not, but something occurred to get their attention to go talk with him. And then it happened very quickly where there was an encounter and shots were fired."

At least one of the deputies returned fire, killing the suspect.

#2  "...suspect was a 30-year-old male..."

Being the usual very obscure description of the attempted murderer ....I dug.

The gunman was identified as Joshua Michael Johnson, 31 a white long hair male that was said to be "homeless" but was really in a Court ordered Drug Treatment facility.?

His Utah court records show he repeated convicted Felon and a number misdemeanor offenses. Dating back to 2004 (He started when he was 15) that I quickly found.

Utah court records reveal he was a fugitive having left his court ordered residential Drug treatment program for the 3rd time without permission. A clear violation of his Felony level probation. A judge had revoked Johnson’s probation earlier that day.
His Offender #: 211531

NOTE: What likely set this off was...While at the treatment facility. It was reported he had received a phone call from his mom, telling him his stimulus check had arrived and his brother had cashed it.

So we have a multiple Convicted Felon and well armed. I guess gun laws only are for honest citizens and that Harris/Pelosi/Biden Stimulus $$$ help arm him to rob and or Murder unarmed citizens to feed his drug habit.

Arabia
Saudi Arabia Sentences 21 Persons to Jail for Money Laundering
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Saudi public prosecution sentenced 21 citizens and residents involved in money laundering cases to a total of 106 years in prison.

The prosecution seized about $1.3 millions of their funds, almost $533,300 in bank accounts, and a similar amount in money transferred outside the country.

The Public Prosecution indicated that five citizens opened seven commercial institution records to import foodstuffs. They established bank accounts, that were handled by the Arab residents, to use them in depositing illegal sums of money and transferring them abroad, in exchange for a monthly wage.

Following investigations, the accused were found guilty of money laundering and transporting and transferring illegal funds.

The competent court sentenced all the convicts to a total of 106 years and fined them $1.3 million. The sentence also included seizing about $124 million.

Authorities issued a travel ban for the Saudi defendants, and the convicted expats will be deported after serving their prison term.

The Public Prosecution indicated that it is preparing a mandate to recover funds from abroad, cautioning citizens and residents against allowing others to use their bank accounts and commercial records.

It warned that such action is a threat to financial and economic security, stressing its demand for severe penalties against the accused.

i governorates of Marib and Hajjah.

Clashes between Yemeni army forces, which are backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition, and the Houthis have intensified in Marib since early March. Marib is the last major northern stronghold for pro-government forces and is home to one of Yemen’s largest oil infrastructures.

The Arab Coalition’s air forces have successfully targeted Houthi tanks and anti-aircraft weapons in Marib’s Sirwah district. Several Houthi fighters were killed in the offensive.

Despite incurring significant losses in Marib and Hajjah, Houthis continue to rally more reinforcements to battlefronts in the two governorates. The Iran-aligned group has also maintained its attempts to launch cross-border attacks against neighboring Soddy Arabia

On Saturday, the Arab Coalition destroyed a Houthi explosive-laden drone launched towards Saudi Arabia in Yemeni airspace.

The foiled attack comes a day after the Iran-backed militia launched an explosive-laden Houthi drone targeting Khamis Mushait and a ballistic missile fired toward Jazan.

Friday’s attacks were condemned by the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab Parliament
...At the Arab League Summit of 2001-Amman, the Arab states came up with a resolution to have the Secretary General create a Parliament. Since throughout the Arab world rights accrue to the states, not to the people, each member state sends four members and nobody gets to vote on which ones. The headquarters was in Damascus until in 2012 the sessions were suspended and transferred to Cairo. The League is now preparing to move the headquarters of the parliament to Baghdad, from whence it will issue Pronouncements of Grave Import....
The Arab Parliament, for its part, affirmed that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia is a fundamental pillar of the Arab national security and represents a constant strategic depth in the national security system as a whole.

In an official statement, the Arab Parliament warned against the ongoing violations staged by Houthi militias, saying they reflect Iran’s broader scheme for destabilizing the region.

The Cairo-based legislative body called on the international community to take urgent and decisive action to deter Houthi violence and protect civilians.

More so, the Arab Parliament reaffirmed its full stand and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all the measures the Kingdom takes to protect and preserve its national security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
An Nahar adds:
Fierce fighting for Yemen's strategic Marib city has killed 70 pro-government and Huthi rebel fighters over the past 24 hours, with battles raging on three fronts, loyalist military officials said Sunday.

The Huthis have been trying to seize Marib, the capital of an oil-rich region and the government's last significant pocket of territory in the north, since February.

Two officials from pro-government forces told AFP that the rebels were mounting a concerted push that had left 26 loyalist soldiers dead as well as 44 from Huthi ranks. The rebels rarely disclose their losses.

The new toll adds to 53 killed on both sides in the previous 24 hours, according to loyalist military officials.

One of the officials said Sunday that the rebels "are launching simultaneous attacks" in the areas of Kassara and al-Mashjah, northwest of the city, and Jabal Murad in the south.

"They have made progress on the Kassara and al-Mashjah fronts, but they have been thwarted on the Jabal Murad front," he told AFP.

The other official said that warplanes from the Saudi-led military coalition, which entered the Yemen conflict to support the government in 2015, launched Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s that "destroyed 12 Huthi military vehicles, including four tanks and a cannon."

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
the Saudi firepower does not seem to have halted the rebel offensive.

- FEARS FOR CIVILIANS -
The Iran-backed Huthis in late 2014 overran the capital Sanaa, 120 kilometers (75 miles) to the west of Marib, along with much of northern Yemen.

The loss of Marib would be a heavy blow for the Yemeni government, currently based in the southern city of Aden, and for its Saudi backers.

It could also lead to humanitarian disaster, as vast numbers of civilians displaced from fighting elsewhere have sought refuge in Marib.

Around 140 sites have sprung up in the region to provide basic shelter for up to two million displaced, according to Yemen's government.

French government disgusted by attack on Muslim centre
[AlAhram] The French government condemned the defacing of an Islamic cultural centre in western La Belle France with Islamaphobic slogans, and said an attack on Moslems was an attack on the Republic

The tags, daubed on the side a building used as a prayer room in the city of Rennes, were found shortly before the Moslem holy month of Ramadan begins in La Belle France on Tuesday.

Interior Minister Gerard Darmanin said it was a disgusting attack against the fundamental freedom to believe in a religion and that Moslems deserved the same protection as any other religious group in La Belle France.

"Attacks against Moslems are attacks against the Republic," Darmanin said after he visited the site.

Among the slogans scrawled on the building were "Catholicism - religion of the state" and "No to Islamification".

The French Council of the Moslem Faith (CFCM), one of the main groups representing Moslems in La Belle France, called the incident an "unbearable aggression".
The French Council of the Moslem Faith was a post-9/11 Nicolas Sarkozy initiative, when he was French interior minister, to create an elected Muslim council with which the government could deal instead of however many thousands of clerics and independent organizations. Not all its members agreed with President Macron’s latest initiative on the subject, but I haven’t heard how or if that was resolved.
"As Ramadan approaches and in the face of a surge in anti-Moslem acts, the CFCM calls on Moslems in La Belle France to be vigilant," the association said on Twitter.

La Belle France follows a strict form of secularism, known as "laicité", which is designed to separate religion and public life.

Darmanin, a conservative in President Emmanuel Macron's government, is the main sponsor of legislation passing through parliament which the government says is designed to tackle what it describes as encroaching fundamentalism that is subverting French values.

Senior representatives of all religions were consulted during the drafting and the CFCM supports the bill.

While the legislation does not single out Islam, some critics say it points the finger at Moslems.

#14  More on this from CBS News:
Virginia police officer fired after Black Army lieutenant is pepper-sprayed and handcuffed during traffic stop
Updated on: April 12, 2021 / 6:59 PM / CBS News

Officials said Sunday that one of the officers has been fired.

Officer Joe Gutierrez was fired following the December 5 incident, which was captured on video, the town of Windsor, Virginia said in a statement Sunday...
Following an internal investigation, the town said that Gutierrez did not follow department policy. They did not provide any further information on the other officer involved in the incident, Daniel Crocker, but said the department is requiring additional training.
,,,
In both body camera and cell phone video, Nazario, in his Army uniform, is seen with his hands out the window of his car.

"I've not committed any crime," Nazario said.
Then, two police officers order him to get out of the car, drawing their guns.

"I'm honestly afraid to get out," he said.

"Yeah dude, you should be," one officer responds.
...
Attorney Jonathan Arthur, who is representing Nazario in a lawsuit filed earlier this month against the two officers, said that he was afraid if he took his hands out of view, something even worse would happen.

"To unbuckle his seatbelt, to do anything, any misstep — he was afraid that they were going to kill him," Arthur told CBS Evening News.

The incident report said that Nazario was initially pulled over for not having tags displayed on his SUV, but the temporary dealer plate is visible in the officer's body camera video. The lieutenant had recently bought the car.

Nazario was released without being charged. He has accused the officers of using excessive force, illegally searching his car and violating his constitutional rights.
...

In a statement Monday, Arthur called Officer Gutierrez's termination "appropriate" but called for more scrutiny.

"We must consider steps to decertify officers that engage in this behavior, so that they cannot seek employment with other law enforcement agencies," Arthur said, while also criticizing Officer Crocker for his failure to intervene.

"Additionally, the law enforcement community has to consider seriously the failure of officers like Daniel Crocker to promptly intervene to end an unjust police-civilian encounter as it unfolds," he said. "Too often, officers will support their colleagues, right or wrong, at the cost of innocent citizens."

Hundreds of protesters meet 'White Lives Matter' rally in Orange County, California and skirmishes break out as police fail to keep the two sides apart: 'Anti-fascist' demonstrators gather in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Mexico
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • More than 300 protesters showed up to demonstrate against 'White Lives Matter' rally in California Sunday

  • Rally was organized by ultra-right groups that have called for April 11 to be national day of 'White Lives Matter'

  • Police initially didn't keep the two sides apart in Huntington Beach, the Orange County Register reported

  • Letting the two groups mix led to skirmishes, and police eventually shut down the event, calling it unruly

  • Meanwhile, people gathered in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Mexico to protest against the 'White Lives' rallies, which had been planned for Sunday around the country, but largely didn't materialize

  • In New York City, a single person arrived at Trump Tower for a 'White Lives Matter' march and performed a Nazi salute in front of a small crowd of counterprotesters

Occupied Portland ICE building set afire by left-wing extremists during Saturday night insurrection
[BIZPACREVIEW] Left-wing turbans reportedly set a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building on fire during another insurrection Saturday evening in Portland, Oregon.Horrifying video footage from the insurrection showed the facility’s entrance on fire and its doors shaking as agents were "trying to apparently get out."

Besides trying to burn down the facility and kill those inside, the left-wing turbans also reportedly launched fireworks at the building, lit a fire in its driveway and smashed its windows.

Yet as of Sunday morning, not a single media outlet in America save for Fox News had even taken note of the insurrection. Even local media outlets in Portland appeared to be ignoring it.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinian bystander, 14, loses eye from rubber bullet allegedly fired by IDF
[IsraelTimes] Izz al-Din, 14, was in a vegetable shop Friday when Israeli soldiers used rubber bullets against protesters nearby; IDF neither confirms nor denies Israeli fire led to injury.

A 14-year-old Paleostinian bystander lost his eye on Friday afternoon in the West Bank city of Hebron after apparently being hit by a rubber-tipped steel bullet fired by an Israeli soldier, although the Israeli army said it could neither confirm nor deny the matter.

A spokesperson for the IDF did not deny the possibility and acknowledged that Israeli soldiers had fired rubber bullets at a crowd of Paleostinians nearby.

"There was a violent mostly peaceful protest, including stone-throwing and stone-slinging, and the military responded with riot dispersal mechanisms, including rubber bullets," the Israeli military’s spokesperson said.

Family members of the boy, Izz al-Din Nidal al-Batsh, said he was nowhere near the protests when he was struck in the eye.

In a video widely shared on social media, the boy can be seen standing in a vegetable shop when he is hit. al-Batsh’s family claimed the festivities were not taking place next to the shop, but rather down the road. The young teenager does not seem to be participating in any demonstration, as well, merely looking out into the street.

The army claimed that an initial investigation done by the division’s commander had concluded that the soldiers had not fired directly at the shop. In cases of suspected negligence or wrongdoing, the army’s investigative unit — the Military Police — will occasionally open an inquiry.

"The investigation was done at the level of the division, not by the Military Police," the spokesperson said.

But Izz al-Din’s cousin, Abd al-Karim, told the Haaretz daily that one of the soldiers "pointed their gun at us and fired. It was clear he aimed at us."

Izz al-Din regularly works after school at the local store, his father Nidal told The Times of Israel.

"He’s a student who excels at school. But he goes after school to work, to help out, weigh vegetables. He takes care of his own money and so on. But then this befell him," al-Batsh said.

According to Nidal, the vegetable shop lies in the neighborhood of Bir al-Hummus. There are regular festivities farther down the road — some 150 meters, according to the father — in an area of the West Bank city known as Bab al-Zawiya.

The flashpoint space lies adjacent to an Israeli checkpoint that divides parts of Hebron under formal Paleostinian Authority rule from a thoroughfare — known as Shuhada Street — under Israeli control.

After Izz al-Din was shot, he was rushed to Alia Hospital in Hebron. After consulting with the doctors there, the boy was transferred to St. John’s Eye Hospital in East Jerusalem later that night. The doctors in Jerusalem confirmed that his eye could not be saved.

"He was shot around 3:30 in the afternoon. But it wasn’t until 12:30 at night when I delivered him in my arms over to the Israeli side at the checkpoint; his eye was damaged for ten hours before he reached St. John. I think there was some negligence there," Nidal said.

Israeli security forces regularly use rubber-tipped bullets against Paleostinians in the West Bank as a riot control mechanism. With a metal core surrounded by a rubber coating, the projectiles are less lethal than live fire, but can still blind, cripple, or kill.

Nidal told The Times of Israel that he supports an investigation into how his son was blinded. Rights groups have criticized Israeli internal military investigations, which they charge rarely lead to convictions.

"Of course, I’d like to see an investigation. God put me in charge of this child. The errors need to be fixed so that everyone can learn from them," Nidal said.

Izz al-Din al-Batsh returned home on Sunday afternoon. According to his father, the long-term effects of the rubber-tipped bullet on his son’s health are still unknown.

"Someone told me my son was 14, he barely saw life before his eye was put out," Nidal concluded sadly.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Report: It could take 'at least 9 months' to restore Natanz nuclear facility
[YNet] - It could take "at least nine months" to restore Iran's underground Natanz nuclear facility following a mysterious power outage that struck the site just hours after new advanced centrifuges were restarted there, according to a report published Monday.

...According to the report, the power failure was caused by a deliberately planned explosion, which "completely destroyed the heavily protected internal power system that supplies the underground centrifuges that enrich uranium".

...The incident occurred during U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's visit to Israel where he met with Defense Minister Benny Gantz. Austin failed to mention the Iranian threat during his press conference speech.

SDF arrest 13 ISIS suspects in al-Hol anti-smuggling op
[Rudaw] Kurdish forces arrested 13 people, including eight Iraqis, accused of smuggling people out of the notorious al-Hol camp in northeast Syria (Rojava), the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced early Saturday, the latest operation in an effort to combat rising crime in the sprawling camp.

"A further 13 individuals including 8 #Iraqis have been detained for their role in people smuggling out of #AlHol Camp. #SDF forces remain committed to improving the camp conditions for the residents," the SDF tweeted.

Colonel Wayne Marotto, spokesperson for the global coalition against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS), said that the persons arrested are suspected ISIS members. "The Coalition stands by the SDF in its efforts to #DefeatISIS & promote security & stability in NE Syria," he tweeted.

More than 150 people have been arrested since late March after a spate of murders in the camp this year. The Asayish security forces on April 2 announced they’d made 125 arrests in a five-day operation and another 31 people have been detained in the past week, according to the SDF.

Nearly half the camp’s residents, more than 30,000, are Iraqis, according to data provided to Rudaw English by Sheikhmus Ahmed, who supervises the administration of Rojava’s IDP and refugee camps.

Iraq has resisted repatriating its nationals because of security concerns around bringing suspected ISIS members home, but a plan is now in the works to send 500 families back to Iraq in a phased operation. An Iraqi humanitarian organization has begun registering Iraqis at al-Hol camp to facilitate their repatriation, Ahmed said on Wednesday. The first group is expected to move in the coming days.

NYT report on Natanz: ''classified Israeli operation''
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

From the Jerusalem Post article Skidmark posted in comments yesterday:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the security cabinet’s first meeting in two months to discuss Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
next Sunday amid increased tensions with Tehran.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kohavi gave a rare strong hint pointing to Israeli involvement on Sunday.

"The IDF’s actions throughout the Middle East are not hidden from our enemies’ vision, who are observing us, seeing our capabilities and carefully considering their next steps," he said in a speech honoring Israel’s fallen soldiers.

"By virtue of clever operational activities, the past year was one of the most secure years that the citizens of the State of Israel have known," Kohavi said. "We will continue to act, combining power and discretion, determination and responsibility — all of this to guarantee the security of the State of Israel."

It also came less than a month after the IAEA reported that Iran had restarted enrichment at the Natanz facility and less than a year after Israel was blamed by foreign reports for an alleged attack on the facility, which reportedly had significantly impacted Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran is still nowhere near having recovered to the point where it had been before that July 2020 explosion in terms of its capacity for assembling new advanced centrifuges, the Post recently reported.

In the alleged attack last year, Iranian reports originally referred to the earth-shattering kaboom as an "incident" without providing further details.

"The centrifuge assembly hall was blown up by the enemy a few months ago, but we did not stop and temporarily set up the hall that made up for the lost hall," Iranian nuclear chief Salehi said Saturday, according to Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency. He did not specify which "enemy" was behind the attack last year.

Iran is working to move sensitive facilities at Natanz further underground and hopes the new underground halls will be ready next year, Salehi said.
