Afghan Govt Expels Two Iranian Diplomats
[ToloNews] The Afghan government reportedly expelled two top Iranian diplomats from the country over charges of being involved in intelligence activities and for membership in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to information received by TOLOnews.

Sources within the Afghan government said that in retaliationTehran also expelled two Afghan diplomates from Iran. One diplomat was expelled from the Afghan embassy in Tehran and the second from the Afghan consulate in Mashhad.

According to the reports, one of the diplomats, named Mohammad Reza Abdullah Abadi, was serving as the cultural attaché of the Iranian embassy in Kabul and had arrived in Kabul in 2016 for intelligence activities.

The second diplomat was named Jaffar Fatah Abadi, and is recognized as an influential member of IRGC’s Quds Force.

Based on the information, Jaffar Fatah Abadi served in the Iranian Consular Mission in the eastern province of Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
between 2009 and 2014.

"When tensions reach a peak between the countries, then diplomats are expelled," said political analyst Ahamd Saeedi.

Spokespeople from the Afghan government have not mentioned diplomatic tensions between the two countries, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement has said that bilateral relations between Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. and Afghanistan were normal.

"Relations between Afghanistan and Iran are normal, these relations are based on being good neighbors. The political and consular missions of the two governments are working without any disruption," said the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.

Waheed Omar, director general of the Office of Public and Strategic Affairs of the President, responded in this manner: "There are discussions between the two countries regarding those issues."

The Iranian embassy in Kabul said that the diplomatic missions of the two countries are working regularly without any problems.

"Currently, the diplomatic missions of Afghanistan and Iran are fully operational in various cities. The reduction in the limited number of diplomats several months ago was made by a mutual decision between the two governments and some of the claims about this issue were based on rumors and they do not have any credibility," thr Iranian embassy in Kabul told TOLOnews.

Previously, reports surfaced in the media that Brig. Gen. Ismail Qaani, the newly appointed head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' elite Quds Force had travelled to the central province of Bamiyan
...a place in Afghanistan that used to have some historically interesting statues of the Buddha carved into a mountainside. Then the holy men showed up and now all they have is some big holes...
under the name of "deputy to Iranian ambassador to Kabul" where he reportedly met with Bamiyan governor Tahir Zaheer.

Afghan Violence Tallied on Eve of Persian New Year
[ToloNews] The solar year 1398, ending this evening, saw more than 10,846 civilians, including women and kiddies, killed and injured, according to the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission.

The attack on the Dubai wedding hall was one of the deadliest incidents this solar year in Kabul, with more than 80 civilians, including women and kiddies, killed, and more than 180 injured.

Other incidents included:

Insurgent attack on Counterpart International, an international organization in Kabul.

Car kaboom in PD6, Kabul.

Car kaboom on GardaWorld, a foreign security company.

Attack on Green Trend office, a political movement run by former NDS chief and vice-presidential candidate Amrullah Saleh.

Attack near the Ministry of Defense’s buildings in PD9.

Car kaboom on Green Village compound, a residential area for foreign nationals.

Suicide attack at the gate of the Marshal Fahim National Defense University.

Attack on Ashraf Ghani

Attack on the Kandahar police chief.

...Arabic for students...
"Explosions and suicide kabooms were very high, and the civilian and military casualties were also very high," said Attiqullah Amarkhail, former military officer.

But the government claimed they had made gains against bad boys.

The Ministry of Defense said that in addition to launching dozens of military operations, re-capturing ten districts from the Taliban has been one of the most important military missions.

"Over the past solar year, the Taliban were prevented from overtaking government-controlled areas, while the Afghan army succeeded in bringing 50 percent of the country's territory under their (government) control," said Asadullah Khalid, acting defense minister.

"Nine districts have been cleared of opposition, there has been a decline in national and local police casualties, we've arrested 20,000 criminals and eliminated three large drug caches--these are the achievements," said Tariq Aryan, a front man for the Ministry of Interior.

The Independent Human Rights Commission said there has been a three percent decrease in violence over the past solar year, but it was still one of Afghanistan's bloodiest years.

The commission said that in this year 10,846 civilians killed and maimed.

According to the commission, among 10,846 killed and maimed, more than 2,797 civilians, including women and kiddies, were killed and 8,049 were maimed in various incidents this year.

"This year was undoubtedly a bloody year for the Afghan people and for one of the most vulnerable countries in the world, judging by civilian casualties," said Naeem Nazari, Naeem Nazari, commissioner at the human rights

commission.

The latest deadly attack was on Abdul Ali Mazari’s 25th commemoration anniversary ceremony in west of Kabul in which 32 people were killed and 81 were maimed.

Afghanistan experienced a 7-day reduction in violence before the peace deal was signed between the US and Taliban, but since then fighting has resumed.

Tunisia: Ennahda Party threatened with more resignations
[al-Monitor] Prominent leader and member of the Ennahda Shura Council Abdelhamid Jelassi announced his resignation from the Ennahda party in a long post on his official Facebook page March 7, in which he said that his political experience with Ennahda is completely over.

Observers said his resignation caused a tremor within Ennahda, as did the previous resignation of then-Prime Minister and Ennahda leader Hamadi Jebali on Dec. 11, 2014.

On Nov. 28, 2019, then-Secretary-General of Ennahda Ziad Ladhari announced his resignation and justified this decision by saying that he was convinced that Ennahda’s choices related to government formation do not live up to Tunisians’ expectations.

In his interview with al-Monitor, Jelassi accused Ennahda leader Rachid Ghannouchi of intentionally postponing the preparations for Ennahda’s 11th National Congress due in May 2020. The congress aims to elect a new head of the movement to succeed Ghannouchi who was elected speaker of parliament for five years on Nov. 13. 2019.

Europe
Germany stops accepting refugees over coronavirus
[DW] The EU has taken drastic action to attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, effectively shutting borders to non-citizens. Germany will stop taking in refugees, including thousands stranded at the Ottoman Turkish-Greek border.

Germany put on hold a refugee pact with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
and will no longer accept refugees from any country, as the EU effectively shuts its borders to non-EU citizens to curb the spread of coronavirus
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
, the interior ministry announced on Wednesday.

The so-called resettlement program between Turkey and Germany will be put on hold indefinitely. Thousands of migrants colonists have been gathered at the Turkey-EU border since February when Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
announced the border was open.

The programs have been halted owing to "restrictions on travel" because of the global COVID-19 pandemic, a government front man told the Funke media group. The programs will resume "when possible."

Under the program, Germany has accepted around 5,000 refugees since 2012.

The announcement comes a day after German Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
insisted that a separate EU-Turkey refugee deal, under which Germany pays Turkey to host refugees, was still intact.

For thousands of refugees living in unsanitary conditions in camps in Turkey and Greece, the outcome of a coronavirus outbreak could be disastrous, humanitarian groups warned.

More than 40,000 refugees are currently spread among five camps on Greek islands, according to Oxfam.

"People fleeing war and persecution are trapped in Greece without sufficient food, clean water or healthcare," the charity wrote on Twitter.

Germany will still accept refugee children in need from camps despite border closures. Chancellor Merkel also promised Germany would do more to help those refugees still stranded there following a video conference with Turkey’s Erdogan and French President Emmanuel Macron.

[Rudaw] America’s handover of al-Qaim military base to the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) is "the first step of a US troop withdrawal from Iraq," an Iraqi military official told Rudaw on Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Tahsin Khafaji, front man for Iraq’s Joint Operation Command, said Thursday that US forces have now officially handed over command of al-Qaim military base on the Iraq-Syria border.

Al-Qaim in Iraq’s Anbar province, west of Baghdad, has been used by US-led coalition troops since 2017 to train and advise Iraqi forces to combat the Islamic State

White, who has been imprisoned since July 2018, was visiting a girlfriend in Iran when he was detained. White was convicted of insulting Iran’s supreme leader and posting private information. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, though the State Department says he was serving a 13-year sentence.
