Afghanistan
Hekmatyar: Hizb-e-Islami Protest Will Kick Off Friday
[ToloNews] Hizb-e-Islami leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar
... who used to be known in intelligence circles as The Most Evil Man in the World but who now seems merely run-of-the-mill evil...
on Thursday warned that the protests of his supporters against the government will begin on Friday, during which he will set a 10-day deadline for the government to address the group's demands.

Hekmatyar, who signed a peace deal with the government in 2016, said the demands include an end to (targeted) attacks, an end to the "opposition against peace," respect for the Doha agreement, an agreement on a ceasefire, the transfer of power to a new government, an end to forming militias, the prevention of looting of national treasures and the inclusion of the Hizb-e-Islami group within the government.

He warned that the protests would be extended to other provinces if his demands were not met.

"In that case, our demand will be something else: All our demands will change to one demand, and that will be: step down, step down," Hekmatyar said, presumably directing this comment to President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money...
Hekmatyar mentioned that he has spoken online with US special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and Khalilzad has told him about the "failure" of the Doha talks.

"I was the first person who Khalilzad met with and he told me that he will meet me after meeting other leaders," Hekmatyar said. "I am supporting Khalilzad’s new mission."

Meanwhile,
...back at the mall, Clarissa spent the day shopping for new underwear. Tonight was going to be a special occasion...
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a speech stressed the need for a diplomatic solution in the country.

"When we look back at the past decades of our military involvement in the world, especially in Afghanistan and the Middle East, we must remember what we’ve learned about the limits of force to build a durable peace; that the day after a major military intervention is always harder than we imagine; and how critical it is to pursue every possible avenue to a diplomatic solution. Of course, we will never hesitate to use force when American lives and vital interests are at stake."

This comes as the Biden administration has stated it is reviewing the US-Taliban
...Arabic for students...
agreement as the talks in Doha have stalled.

Africa Subsaharan
Deradicalised terrorists rejoin Boko Haram after spying on communities
[PUNCHNG] The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, has said the concept of deradicalisation of Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
holy warriors otherwise known as Safe Corridor is not working as expected.

Zulum said this while delivering his speech at the North-East Governors’ Forum meeting which held today at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Bauchi State.

Present at the meeting are Governors of Borno, Adamawa, Gombe and Bauchi, while Taraba and Yobe states were represented by their deputies.

According to Zulum, those who have passed through the deradicalisation initiative often go back to rejoin the terror group after they have spied on their host communities who often resent their presence.

He said, "Your Excellencies, another aspect of the war against the insurgency that needs to be urgently reviewed or modified, is the issue of deradicalisation of Boko Haram terrorists, who have been captured or have willingly surrendered themselves to the authorities.

"It has been confirmed that the concept of de-radicalization or Safe Corridor is not working as expected. Quite often, those who have passed through the Safe Corridor Initiative, or have been de-radicalized, usually go back and rejoin the terror group after carefully studying the various security arrangements in their host communities, during the reintegration process.

"In addition, the host communities where the reintegration process is going on usually resent the presence of Boko Haram terrorists, even if they have been de-radicalized, because of the despicable and atrocious activities they have committed in the past.

"So the idea of deradicalisation, as currently being implemented, needs to be reviewed because the main goals and the underlying objectives behind the initiative are not being achieved.

"The best option is to immediately prosecute the terrorists, in accordance with the Terrorism Act. However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
those people who, ab initio, were forcefully recruited but have been rescued or have beat feet from the group, should be the ones to be subjected to the deradicalisation process."

The Governor lamented the delay witnessed in the prosecution of terrorists, advising that state Attorney-Generals should be allowed to have powers in the process.

He said, "On the prosecution of terrorists, we must make efforts to avoid the current encumbrances and intricacies associated with the process, which usually takes considerable time, by urging the appropriate federal authorities to devolve the powers of the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation to State Attorneys-General in order to facilitate the prosecution process.

"At the moment, only the Attorney-General of the Federation is statutorily empowered to prosecute terrorists, which, quite often, results in avoidable delays. We once again call on the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice to delegate his prosecutorial fiat to the States Attorneys General to prosecute such cases in their respective states as justice delayed is justice denied."

China-Japan-Koreas
Leaked Chinese Study Outlines Plan to Crush Uyghur Population
[Breitbart] The BBC on Tuesday reported on a "high-level Chinese study," meant for top Chinese Communist Party officials only but accidentally leaked online, that outlined a plan to crush the Uyghur people of Xinjiang province by dispersing their population across China’s vast land mass, making it difficult for them to raise families and pass along their traditions.

The material reviewed by the BBC included a Chinese television report from 2017 that has "not featured in international news reporting until now." The video included interviews with young Uyghurs that made it clear they were being intimidated into taking jobs far from home before they could start families with other Uyghurs.

"This video is remarkable. The Chinese government continually says that people are volunteering to engage in these programs, but this absolutely reveals that this is a system of coercion that people are not allowed to resist," Professor Laura Murphy of Sheffield Hallam University told the BBC.

"The other thing it shows is this ulterior motive, that although the narrative is one of lifting people out of poverty, there’s a drive to entirely change people’s lives, to separate families, disperse the population, change their language, their culture, their family structures, which is more likely to increase poverty than to decrease it," added Hallam, who once lived in Xinjiang.

Under Biden Administration, Feds Dismiss Dozens of Charges Against Portland Rioters
[PJ] As the Biden administration has taken the reins of the Department of Justice, the feds have dismissed dozens of charges against violent rioters in Portland, Oregon. They have dropped charges such as assault on a law enforcement officer, arson, and other violent crimes. Many have been dropped with prejudice, meaning they can’t be re-litigated in the future. According to a local news outlet, federal prosecutors have dismissed more than one-third of the pending charges from last summer’s violent protests in Portland.

What's in a name? For Pakistan, everything, as it continues to change names of terror groups to dodge bans

Investigations by the NIA found that this terror group works at the behest of the Jaish-e-Mohammad

This is however not for the first time that the names of such unknown groups have popped up.

Iraq
US Warns of Military Response after Iraq Base Rocket Attack
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The White House warned that the US may consider a military response to the rocket attack on Wednesday that hit an airbase in western Iraq where American and coalition troops are housed.
It's a line in the sand, don'tcha see?
A US contractor died after at least 10 rockets slammed into the Ain al-Asad base. And while no group grabbed credit, it was the first strike since the US bombed Iran-aligned militia targets along the Iraq-Syria border last week.

Asked about the attack, President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Candidate for president in 2020. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass....
told news hounds, "we are following that through right now." He added, "Thank God, no one was killed by the rocket, but one individual, a contractor, died of a heart attack. But we’re identifying who’s responsible and we’ll make judgments" about a response.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki
...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama...
suggested that the "calculated" US Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s last week could be a model for a military response. Those strikes were in response to an attack on American forces in northern Iraq earlier in February.

"If we assess further response is warranted, we will take action again in a manner and time of our choosing," Psaki said.

In blow to Abbas, senior Fatah official to form separate bloc to run in election
[IsraelTimes] Nasser al-Qidwa, a member of Fatah’s powerful central committee and Yasser Arafat’s nephew, has long been an Abbas critic; says he hopes the imprisoned Barghouti will head his bloc.

Fatah Central Committee member Nasser al-Qidwa on Wednesday declared his support for a separate bloc to run in the scheduled Paleostinian elections, in the latest blow to the unity of the West Bank’s ruling faction.

"I am in favor of forming an electoral slate within the framework of a broad democratic forum that includes various segments of society, not the Fatah movement alone," al-Qidwa wrote on Twitter.

Olde Tyme Religion
Monitoring group: School textbooks in Turkey call Jews and Christians ‘infidels’
[IsraelTimes] Curriculum radicalization began under Erdogan following failed 2016 coup attempt; Israeli-Paleostinian conflict described as a religious war against Moslems.

School textbooks in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
under President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
have been revised to refer to Jews and Christians as "infidels," according to a new study.

Whereas previous textbooks referred to members of those religions as "People of the Book," textbooks such as "Fundamental Religious Knowledge," a publication released after 2017 that is part of the mandatory curriculum in Ottoman Turkish elementary schools, have switched to calling them by the pejorative, according to the study published Thursday by the IMPACT-se watchdog group.

However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
Holocaust studies have been introduced under Erdogan, making Turkey the second Moslem-majority country, after Azerbaijan, to include the genocide as part of the mandatory curriculum. Erdogan has invoked the Holocaust repeatedly in speaking about the treatment of Moslems in Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
today.

The changes coincide with radicalization in Ottoman Turkish schools following the failed 2016 coup against Erdogan, leader of the Islamist Justice and Development Party, according to Marcus Sheff, the CEO of IMPACT-se.

"Schoolbooks have been weaponized in Erdogan’s attempts to Islamize Ottoman Turkish society and to hark back to a nostalgic age of Ottoman Turkish domination," Sheff wrote, adding that his group has identified "increased demonization of Israel and antisemitic aspersions."

One book, "A Contemporary Ottoman Turkish and World History," states that Israel is seeking to "reconstruct Solomon’s Temple" on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. Another accuses the Alliance Jewish schooling network and the Maccabi sports association of working against the Ottoman Turkish national independence movement.

Israel’s conflict with the Paleostinians, who are referred to as "Moslems," is described as a religious war where Israel is the aggressor.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Western Powers Scrap Plan for IAEA Rebuke of Iran, Diplomats Say
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Britannia, La Belle France, and Germany have scrapped a US-backed plan for the UN nuclear watchdog’s board to criticize Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
for scaling back cooperation with the agency, diplomats said on Thursday, amid concerns about efforts to revive Iran’s nuclear deal.

The European powers, all parties to the 2015 nuclear deal, have been lobbying for the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency’s 35-nation Board of Governors to adopt a resolution at this week’s quarterly meeting expressing concern at Iran’s latest breaches of the deal and calling on it to undo them.

However,
the man who has no enemies isn't anybody and has never done anything...
Iran has bristled at the prospect, threatening to end a recent agreement with the IAEA that limits the impact of its latest moves and enables monitoring of its facilities to continue in a black-box-type arrangement for up to three months.

Three diplomats who follow the IAEA closely said the so-called E3 had scrapped their plan for a resolution.

"Cooler heads are prevailing," said one diplomat from a country on the board that had been skeptical about the proposed resolution. Other countries had expressed concern that a resolution would undermine attempts to rescue the deal.

Iran Agrees to Meet U.N. Technical Experts over Uranium Find
[AnNahar] Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. has agreed to sit down with international technical experts investigating the discovery of uranium particles at three former undeclared sites in the country, the head of the U.N. atomic watchdog said Thursday, after months of frustration at Tehran's lack of a credible explanation.

The agreement came as three of the remaining signatories to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran — La Belle France, Germany and Britannia — backed off the idea of a resolution criticizing Iran for its decision to start limiting access by ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to current facilities.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi told news hounds in Vienna it was not up to him to say whether Iran's move to hold talks with his technical experts was linked to the decision of the so-called E3 group, but suggested it was difficult to separate the political side of Iran's nuclear program from the technical side.

"It is obvious for everybody that all these matters need to have some resolution, and when it comes to Iran — and I'm not saying anything that Iran itself hasn't said — everything is interconnected, of course," he said.

"These are different parts of a single whole."

Iran Could Use Cryptocurrencies to Avoid Sanctions
[IranWire] The Iranian Presidential Center for Strategic Studies, a thinktank attached to President Rouhani’s office, has published a detailed report stressing the necessity for the regime to use cryptocurrencies to generate extra income.

Extracting cryptocurrencies, the report states, could provide economic benefits to several different sectors of the country's economy. It claims that if the government intervenes seriously it could generate US$2 million a day and $700 million a year in direct revenue from cryptocurrencies. Revenues from receiving transaction fees for the entire bitcoin network would generate $22 million a year for the Iranian government, it says.

The report also states that creating more facilities such as Bitcoin mines in Iran would lead to an increase in employment. Cryptocurrency miners, it says, also have a basic need for electricity, and for every megawatt of electricity consumption about nine people are directly employed.
